You probably have already realized that the,Peacock app is not supported on Fire TV devices with no official app being available.,Peacock have been encouraging Fire TV users they must side-load the Peacock app in order,to use their service on these devices. That is until now, as of 24th June 2021, Peacock,have, almost a year after the launch of their service, finally released an official app,for Fire TV and Fire tablets without having to sideload it which is very good news.,Sideloading the app on Fire TV devices gave users all sorts of issues with no proper icon,for the app showing and with Peacock pushing out regular app updates, the sideloaded app,was more difficult to update for Fire TV users. That will hopefully now be a thing of the,past with all of these issues resolved with the official Fire TV version which will be,available on your Amazon app store on devices running Fire OS 5 and above, so this means,you can get it on your 2nd Gen Firestick, 4K Firestick, Fire Stick Lite, the new 2021,HD Firestick and Fire TV smart TVs and tablets. You should now be able to open your App store,and search for Peacock, and open and search the service’s catalog using voice commands.,In addition to this, under an agreement between NBCU and Amazon, NBCU’s 15 network apps,for Fire TV will also be available including NBC, Bravo, NBC News, NBC Sports and Telemundo.,If you haven’t checked out Peacock already, there are many reasons why you should take,a look.
