MyNCC: Registering for Classes

Hello. This is a step-by-step guide on how to register for classes using your,MyNCC student portal. To get started, you want to log into your MyNCC student, account. If you are starting on the northampton.edu website you will find, the MyNCC icon located across the top of the homepage. Select this icon. Next,,youll see the MyNCC icon in the orange box. Select this icon. At this, point select the login button located in the upper left-hand side of the page.,From here, youll enter your MyNCC username and password. If this is your, first time logging into your MyNCC account, your username and password are, included in your Northampton Community College acceptance packet. Now that you,are on the homepage of your MyNCC account, under the Student Center heading,,you will see the My Registration icon. Select this icon. At this point you will, more than likely need to change the semester box. The system typically, defaults to the current semester. In this example, if I want to register for Fall,2020 classes, I am going to select the drop down arrow in the semester field, and choose FA 2020. At this point, prior to being able to add classes to your, schedule, for every semester that you register using MyNCC, the system will, require you to complete the Personal Info Update form and the Registration,Agreement form. If you dont see these two forms then this means you previously, completed them and you can move forward with registering; however, if you do see, them, lets start with completing the Personal Info Update form.,As a first step, select the blue box titled Complete the Personal Info Update, form. This page is going to show you information such as your name, address,,and phone number. Scroll through to make sure the information is correct. You do,not need to complete any fields that are not filled in–you can leave those blank.,You will scroll all the way to the bottom and select submit. Next, complete, the registration agreement form by selecting the blue box titled Complete, the Registration Agreement form. The registration agreement outlines your, responsibilities related to course registration. Read the agreement, carefully. Once youve read the agreement, in order to proceed with course, registration, you will select the box next to “I agree with this statement” and, then the submit icon. At this point you can now either use the course search, feature located in the middle of the page or the view course schedule feature, located on the left-hand side of the page to find the classes you want to take, and add them to your schedule. As an example, if I want to register for CMTH,102 Introduction to Communication, I will select the view course schedule, option. From here Ill select Communications / Theater. Next, Ill click,on the Introduction to Communication course title. At this point Ill review, the different sections available and register for the course I want to take,by clicking on the box on the left-hand side of the course code, and scrolling to,the top and selecting the Add Courses icon. Once you select the icon, youll be,brought back to the My Registration page and you will see the course you selected, under the Your Schedule header. Thank you for watching and, have fun registering.

Finding Your Books

This is a step-by-step guide showing you how to look up your required textbooks, for the classes youre registered to take at Northampton Community College, using your MyNCC student portal.,As a first step youll want to log into your MyNCC,student account. Youll start on the northampton.edu home page.,Next, click MyNCC at the top. Then, select MyNCC again in the orange, box. Now select “Login” at the top.,You can now type in your MyNCC username and password.,If you have not logged into your MyNCC account before,,your username and password are included in your Northampton Community College, acceptance packet.,Now that you are logged into your MyNCC account,,scroll down and under the “Student Center” heading, select “My Registration.”,On this page you may need to adjust the semester.,For example, if you are registered for the Fall 2020 semester, and you want to look up the books you need for that session,,change the semester option to “FA 2020”. In this example Im registered for, classes during our upcoming Summer 1 session,,so Im going to change the semester to S1,2020. From here, youll see the classes you are, registered to take for the semester you selected,,and underneath the schedule youll see a “Get Books” icon.,Select this icon. Once you select the icon, in a separate, window the website for the bookstore will open,up and you will see the classes you are, registered to take along with the list of required, textbooks for each class including the name of the textbook,,author, publisher, ISBN number as well as your options, for purchasing the book through Northampton Community College bookstore.,At this point you have now successfully looked up your textbooks, and can move forward with purchasing your books.,Finally, now that youve looked up your textbooks, some suggestions for after you, make your textbook purchase include: Not taking any any of your new, textbooks out of their plastic coverings until the, first day of class and youve confirmed with your professor, that you purchased the correct textbook, as well as looking out for access codes, that are bundled with your textbook. These access codes are typically on a,piece of paper and you dont want to accidentally throw,it away. The access codes are used to gain access to online software that is,associated with your book and your professor may have you use the, online software to complete assignments and other tasks.,If you lose the access code, oftentimes it cannot be replaced, and students have to pay additional money to purchase the online software.,Thank you for watching and good luck this semester.

အထက်တန်းကျောင်းသားDual Enrollment အဖြစ် Northampton Community College ကိုလျှောက်ထားနည်း။

this is nathan carpenter from, northampton community college and im,here with silva um,from the new hampton community college, were here to,walk you through, the application process for, the, myanmar high school dual enrollment, program,[Music],so the first thing youre going to do is,youre going to youre going to go to,northampton.edu,edu website, and you can click on the apply link, right here, apply lingual, layla and this is going to bring you to,an application portal its called the, workday, student portal, application for the workplace or,application for the, mobile so your your advisors at,northampton might talk about the student, portal or they might talk about work day,um,advisor maybe a student portal or beyond, beyond,or walk they know that your environment, and the important thing to know is that, theres, two workday portals that youre going to,work in one for, application, and the second one is once youve been, accepted therell be a separate student, portal,[Music],[Music],so the first thing were going to do is,were going to,apply in the,the student application portal,as a new student,[Music],so up in the right hand corner youll, see the sign blue sign-in button, and you click that and youre going to,create account, ill click link,im going to create accounts around do,you remember, its going to ask you for your email, address,i emailed email today about me,here, first one, third time is a charm, okay perfect,so you can see here,an email has been sent to you please, verify your account, email,id,so your message, immediately or a congo but you find all, about me,so then i have my email, here and it should be coming in,so email, emma, verified, your know-how community college account, and therell be a link here to confirm,my email address,[Music],um be aware that the link will expire, after 24 hours, this is my account activated,so now weve created our, application account and you can see that,up on the right hand corner it has,my email address which shows that im,logged in,application account,so under admissions youll see a link, thats says ncc undergraduate admissions, admissions, admission alma nct undergraduate, admissions where the link will be,available i go ahead and click that and,its going to bring me to the admissions, page,[Music],so go ahead and start a new application, start new application, and youll see here that that gives you, instructions in english,if you are a high school student, and you want to enroll in the high, school dual enrollment program,it says, tells you exactly what to do but ill, walk you through it says select,non-degree for your applicant type and, high school dual enrollment for program,of study, high school student should be up,[Music],[Music],[Music],the important thing to remember is that,in the applicant type and ill show you, where this happens high school dual, enrollment must be chosen for program of,study because if you do not choose high, school dual enrollment as a program of,study say for example you choose, engineering, then you will not get the special, tuition rate for high school students, some,[Music],[Music],look gel, heres undergraduate,non-degree,and this is where youre going to choose, high school dual enrollment, high school enrollment, undergraduate,[Music],and if you will be,taking these courses online from home, you can choose virtual campus,[Music],and notice that that, any, any question with a red, star means that its required,if it doesnt have a red star its not, required but well fill them in anyway, please come,[Music],[Music],m,you dont need to enter a social, security number social security number, two is mobile, and these are questions asking about, your, race and ethnicity these are, optional questions,um,but so we dont need to fill them out uh,optional, mega, and this is where you enter in your, mailing address,s,[Music],oh,can you give a sort of like an,appropriate,made-up example of an address,a,fine,um,what im saying is some of them do not,put the,um,the, address number only street address i,thought of those in the, enrollment, and then the timesheet and the city, great, youre going to choose this is your home, address, its going to confirm your email address,go by email address or not or,once theyre registered you will get the, student email address um you can add, your phone number if you like, phone number,i think we should ask them to you know, from the materials,of the, institutional, and here youre going to put where, either youve not graduated you plan to,graduate, its going to be,one of these uh one of these two the, miso means plan to graduate, this is a high school right high school, high school,[Music],and remember that in in,in myanmar we,consider high school to include the, first,[Music],and this is where you can add your high, school information here if its its,its most likely that its not um,its not listed, and so what you will want to do is,select this box right here,[Music],high school, monterey tv,so you know which will be available, and these are all optional,[Music],this is where you would enter your high, schools name,if you gave your high school name no no,you dont need to enter a ceep code,[Music],and this is where you would put your, attendance date,or expected graduation date and again, remembering that um,that we consider, the first two years of college in,myanmars, high school, high school,if you dont have answers to any of,these questions its okay because its, optional you do not need to complete it,change, this is just signing your name saying, that you acknowledge, that you plan to graduate from the high, school that you listed,[Music],digitally,on,[Music],so for this question please indicate, your current permanent school, district residence youre going to,choose out of country, and yes youve lived there for more than, three months, yes, are you an international student, and that will allow um,us our office to see your application, when it comes through,to your office or navy uh,uh dream of the world celebration two, year old man,and um yeah this is asking if you or,your spouse is in the u.s military so we,say no,uh tiara u.s,and then once youve completed, you, check the checkbox, and you submit, rmby, czechoslovakia,so once youve submitted youll see the, high school dual enrollment application,is listed here under your applications, and so youll see the admissions letter, here, admission, and it will tell you that you will soon, receive an email with the username and, temporary password, for your workday student account,um,so this is important because youve, submitted your application in the, workday, portal for applications, with your personal email, and a password that you created, the student portal, youre going to log in with an email, address that the college provides you,and with a password that the college, provides you,raw application foreign,[Music],so some students get confused because, they see that theres, tasks for them to do,and they think they need to log back, into this portal where they applied, but the portal that they need to log, into is their student portal,um,application,so for example in the application, requirements you can see here that its, incomplete theres a form that we need,to complete, application requirement, incomplete surya hama i found cool faber, from, all pmr student programmer with me okay, but if we click on this,it will um all right sorry,i apologize i think it maybe they, changed the system so now you can upload, the form directly here,oh this is beautiful this is new so,so what will happen is,uh sorry sorry sorry this is new there, used to be a different system, but now you you click on this incomplete, and its going to ask you to submit the, ferpa form and well, link to the the video that we did on the, purple form so,tiana,[Music],lets see if it works, video, great,so now in your inbox, and some junk mail, youll receive a number of emails from, the system that are automated,so sometimes students get confused, because they think, theres something they need to do but, some of these emails are just generated, automatically once youve applied,so immediately,so you for ex
