[Music],hong kong is home to some of the most,expensive real estate in the world,and that includes car park spaces just,last year a single car park in the,luxury complex behind me,sold for a record 6.6 million hong kong,dollars,or about 850 000 us dollars,as crazy as it sounds its actually not,that unusual to find an,average car park in the city go for more,than one million hong kong dollars,[Music],last year 2020 the average car park,is about 2.4 million hong kong dollars,thats,almost equivalent you can buy the a,decent townhouse in canada or other part,of the world,in 2019 actually the price was much,higher,the average price is about 2.3 million,the price actually increased,on average about 86 percent in the past,five years,i think it resembles the performance of,the,residential unit,prices are being driven up because,supply is limited and theres an,increasing number of buyers on the,market,and with money to be made from car parks,its also attracting,investors,it sounds a little bit interesting but,in hong kong people actually buy car,parks for investment,the interest rate is super low at this,moment you know this towards the end of,last year the government also lowered,the um,the stem duty for non-residential,goodness,the stem duty for pop-up under two,million hong kong dollars,is only a hundred dollars that attracts,some of the um,investors who doesnt have a lot of,money but they,they still want to participate in the,real estate market,between 2008 and 2020 the number of,private registered cars increased,50 in hong kong thats about 210 000,cars,but the number of available car parking,spaces,only increased 10 percent which is the,equivalent of,66 000 spaces,the demand is there but the supplies can,catch up if,this supply and demand imbalance,continue,it is quite unlikely to see the price,drop significantly in the short term,for people that cant buy a parking,space theres always the option of,renting one,but its not easy to arrange nor is it,cheap,limited space in the city means that,even rental prices are steep,fees can range from anywhere from 1 900,hong kong dollars,all the way up to 6 000 hong kong,dollars a month,thats between 245 us dollars and 770 us,dollars,so prospective car owners not only need,to factor in,car payments insurance and fuel but they,also have to budget for the hefty cost,of buying or renting a space just to,park their car,you

all right guys so a few months ago we,unveiled our all-wheel drive Hellcat at,roadkill now that day we got off to a,slow start but by the end of it we,freaking killed it and smoked a red eye,Michael Amy with us for a few minutes is,really special the parrot Challenger is,going down now,[Music],red eye,but unfortunately,things havent been going so well after,roadkill weve had Lions burst brakes,lock up and of course who could forget,what my wife busted the drive shaft and,broke the fuel tank,Good Times,how you feel you broke your first drive,shaft but we got that all figured out,and its fixed but we still have one,more problem and that problem is the,transmission we have to figure out why,the heck its not shifting right every,time we go anywhere to try to race this,car will not shift right its just been,in Achilles of this project and it has,slowed us down big time,[Music],pretty much what Im saying is this car,has been a headache and were going back,to the drawing board to figure this,thing out once and for all,Im not gonna upload until this thing is,figured out,well usually I dont do this good,morning guys but we officially have a,roll back for the next 12 hours to do,whatever we got to do so you know maybe,if I see some cars you know I want to,pick up it just has to be either,rear-wheel drive or front wheel drive,but we have a rollback we have a tow,truck its theyre on the national backorder,and unfortunately for us the people that,do have the rebuild kits are holding on,to them for their own customers and to,get a transmission rebuilt by someone,its anywhere from about seven to twelve,thousand dollars and about a three to,six week lead time now thats a pretty,big pill to swallow so I have to do some,research and try to figure out where we,can find a decent used transmission,luckily theres Facebook Marketplace so,Im hoping this does work thats right,guys we managed to find ourselves at 8,HP 95 transmission along with the,transfer case from a TRX,just keeps getting better and we I cant,even disclose the price lets just say,its,its cheap unless the transmission is no,good too and then I guess I just got a,big paperweight but Im hoping that they,just didnt know what they had,foreign,[Music],lets go ladies and gentlemen we are in,business now that that worked what we,got left to do is were gonna have to,climb up into the car plug in the OBD,links and fingers cross the system will,communicate yeah right now Im trying to,connect to it and its saying device,model not detected and that means that,its not letting us talk to the gearbox,which is no bueno yes well be back,after these important messages of course,things werent going to go that simple,and we have to call reinforcements and,thats when one of my buddies told me,about a guy named Cena how you doing,brother good good first time meeting too,man so seen as a local tuner he deals,with all kinds of cars but he is a big,Mopar Lover he seemed pretty confident,and was like man listen I can try to,help you figure out whats wrong with,your transmission before you go ahead,and swap everything in so we meet up,with Cena we do a few test passes and he,strongly believes that its our torque,converter but he did also say if Im,changing the torque converter I I might,as well should just change the,transmission so thats pretty much what,we did look youre ready Paint Your Own Car Park Spaces And Road Lines

welcome to the channel today were going,to be looking at how to paint some,parking spaces,so like i said were going to be looking,at painting some parking spaces today,ive done a few already as you can,probably see in the background were,going to go over this one behind us and,weve got a few more to do so i thought,im going to show you how i do this one,it doesnt have to be parking space it,can be road markings and what im using,is some heavy duty road line paint so,the first thing we want to do is give,the area were painting a good sweep,ive already done that we just want to,get rid of as much dust as possible,were not going to get rid of all but,weve done the best we can do so now we,want to mark out the area im going to,use masking tape,if youve got duct tape you can use that,but it will cost you a little bit more,as obviously masking tape is cheaper to,buy so well do that now and then were,ready for painting,quick little tip if you stick the very,end down first where you want to start,make sure its pretty secure and then,stretch the tape all the way to the very,end and itll give you a nice straight,line so if youre doing a little bit of,time without realizing youre going to,start curving around,ill try and show you what i mean,so well stick,the first bit down,thats how you want a good,30 40 centimeters stuck down then what,were going to do,is carefully,extend the tape all the way to the end,of the line,as you can see now im just walking,along it to push the tape,down onto the floor you can do this,or you can go along,and push it down by hand youll probably,get it down a bit better if you do it by,hand to be honest just you can really,get it,into all the little,grooves,because ideally you want it pushed down,as well as possible just to try and stop,that paint from leaking underneath,so now weve done that were ready to,start painting,so before you dip in your brush give,your paint a good stir,things like this like so this is just a,heavy duty road line paint and when i,opened it it was black so,give it a really really good stir im,using an old,bit of branch that i found on the floor,because it does have some sort of rubber,in it as well which i think thats why,it dries nice and hard,ive already stirred this not too long,ago so mines not too bad but make sure,you mix it thoroughly and then a little,tip what i do,i get an old,well not all but a little disposable,plastic cup or an old bowl if youve got,one,dip that in,keeping it in the lines and i just run,myself,a little line down,to start with,and get your brush,and you just start to work that in,um im going from the edge of the,masking tape to the middle instead of,running it to the edge because all,thats going to do is push it underneath,as you can see here we go kind of grab a,bit from the middle,and we just come from the masking tape,to the middle and then we go the other,side,if youve got any little holes you want,to just dab your brush into them,and give it another brush over,you want to carry that process on until,youve finished your line off,so if youre gonna do the pouring method,like i have just one little tip dont,pour too much um and do it in a little,section so dont do a line right from,the top all the way to the bottom,because the paint will naturally spread,out especially if you put too much and,itll work its way under the tape,that has happened in a couple of,sections um,so well notice that problem well pull,the tape up but weve just done this,last little end now,so well take,off the tape and well see how it looks,before you pull the tape off ill advise,you to pop on some disposable gloves,because you dont want this stuff on,your hands,um also im using a brush that i can,chuck away,if youve got a spare one id,advise you do the same,because they dont always clean up too,well after this sort of paint okay so,were going to take the line off well,see how it looks,so as you could see unfortunately some,of the paint had slipped under the tape,um,from a distance so you cant really tell,and it still looks better than the line,that we havent gone over yet obviously,its an old line so its not a brand new,one but you could tell the difference,there these are ones weve done um rob,to the last one now so ill do that off,camera,ive had to rush it a little bit though,because it started to rain unfortunately,i did check the weather and it wasnt,forecast but there we go so,try and pick a nice day to do this,because you dont want to getting wet i,hope this has helped any questions guys,feel free to pop them in the comments,and ill get back to you see you next,time

systems have always,seemed a little more science fiction,than reality to me when i think of a car,park this is what i think of,but as it turns out these automated car,parks have been around for a while uh,the earliest use of an aps was in paris,france in 1905 at the garage,i dont know,lets see,[Music],who they,[Laughter],at the garage oh de pontus this,multi-level car park had an internal car,elevator to transport the cars to the,upper levels where attendants would then,park the cars its not technically,automated by the idea of parking as many,cars as you can in as little of a space,as possible was there the first example,of an automated driverless one that we,could find was in 1951 in washington dc,since then these parking spaces have,popped up all around the world improving,in speed technology and space,germany for example opened the fastest,automated car park in the world in,wolfsburg which boasts a retrieval time,of 1 minute and 44 seconds meanwhile,kuwait has the worlds largest automated,car park facility in al jarrah which,provides,2314 parking spaces but what we also,didnt realize was that theres actually,a parking system like this in malaysia,open in december of 2021 the new capri,by fraser in buki bintang is one of the,newest hotels around town its a modern,chic space with a big emphasis on,design-led living it features,well-equipped rooms a gym laundry dining,various social spaces and an infinity,pool with a killer view but today we are,most interested in their automated,parking system it features a total of,132 base spread across 18 floors,covering two towers which sounds quite,impressive but what is it actually like,to park in one of this system first not,safe or not but most importantly,expensive or not that is why today we,are going to find out,yeah but you know actually whats my,favorite thing about this what whats,your favorite thing,we are not walking there we dont have,to walk,we have been walking for 20 minutes 20,minutes,oh my god see were driving because its,a car park you cannot park your legs,inside,our legs inside you know just bring it,up,pulling up to capri you wouldnt be able,to tell that it has a high-tech parking,system because the way you enter the,parking lot looks like any other parking,complex first you pull up to the boom,gate and you press the button and take,the ticket once you cross the gate,though things change entirely instead of,you know going up a ramp or whatever you,turn into a garage structure while the,maneuver may look complicated you can,actually use the mirror and lights in,the garage to park your car in exactly,the right spot we were told to drive,straight into the parking garage and not,to reverse in because we would be,exiting through a different door once,youve properly parked the machine will,tell you to pull your handbrake and,switch off your engine heres where you,exit the vehicle and grab your,belongings its also recommended that,you fold in your side mirrors before,leaving the garage so the car is there,now can we just park it i thought i was,kind of worried because it was so like,small right uh but actually theres like,a mirror there thats super helpful for,you too,that way your,dont be like me,come so close in and stronger to get in,besides that its like its super easy,so yeah now were gonna tap the card,tap the card,now were gonna tap the card and its,gonna go up,they are separate base for sedans and,hatchbacks as well as suvs and mpvs but,you dont have to worry about any of,this because the machine is smart enough,to automatically determine the type of,vehicle the parking fee for this complex,is 12 ringgit per day with multiple,entries for caprice in-house guests and,honestly right by hotel parking,standards is actually quite cheap not,very expensive also some shopping malls,also more expensive,[Music],and now its time to take our car back,first things first you need to go to,this machine then you take the parking,cart ticket thingy and tap it right here,then you can pay for your parking once,you pay already your parking id number,will appear on the monitor in the,concierge lobby you can check which id,number belongs to your car on the,parking ticket just remember that you,can wait here until the monitor tells,you that your car is ready so you dont,have to wait under the hot sun when we,retrieved our car there was nobody in,queue and it took about two to three,minutes to get our car but if a lot of,people are retrieving your cars,yeah then you have to wait longer but i,guess a good thing is that the base are,all split between two different towers,so at least you know you dont have to,wait for all 132 cars if theres a lot,of people,[Music],hey again again,make it look natural,so as you can see,we came in like that just now,and then now its it rotated the car for,almost 90 degrees so we can just drive,straight now,so this is where we came in from yeah so,we came from this side you can tell like a queue,because we are lucky because theres not,much people during the weekdays but if,its on a week weekend so holiday season,right true theres gonna be a lot of,people going in and out and then if,youre staying in a hotel right you will,want to go out and explore like,food then youre gonna keep going,i mean i dont think i would drive in kl,if i was staying in a hotel in kia i,would probably walk or take grab i guess,the upside is that theyre they do,provide like a nice place for you to,wait so youre not waiting in the sun,right youre not like,sweating theyre standing you have a,nice lobby to wait but yeah i think for,me the retrieval time especially with a,lot bigger so we went at the time there,was nobody and it was like what two,minutes,about two to three minutes which is okay,imagine if you were in queue five yeah,thats like,10 minutes,yes ill trust you im at 30.,i agree in interest but i mean as far as,like the use of space and the technology,thats there i would say its pretty,cool i didnt expect the car lift to be,able to turn,turn your car for you so you just drive,straight out,uh so yeah it was like really painless,yeah its the experience like oh my god,im not parking my own car the auto the,machine is parking my car but uh but the,hotel itself was pretty cool like its,so new it just opened this up so i was,like wow,no next episode of trends we stay in
