think that no this is,supposed to be a continuation and its,those elements among many others that,make me just,ugh,it makes me hate it i really didnt want,this to be the case but it is but before,we and are now,on the run as they can only watch the,republic tokyo drift into becoming the,empire continuing the story of the clone,wars this animate,now thats too strong word dlc was,created much like the mandalorian to,serve as a bridge between the respective,trilogies and as a long time star wars,fanatic i had zero interest in watching,this the siege of mandalore was perfect,and this final shot was the perfect,conclusion to the tragedy that was all,the characters involved all the ones,that we had come to know and love over,the course of the series but sadly,disney in the quest for more money,decide they needed more star wars but,the sequel trilogy is tainted no one,gives a shit about the higher public so,ding ding ding were getting a show,about the rise of the empire and we can,only watch as they suck out the last,ounce of clone wars nostalgia while also,double dipping into rebels is the more,youre thinking about those other shows,you like the less you have to try when,youre watching this one and while no,one hates star wars more than star wars,fans this was a show that broke the,banthas back for me and i am out of,patience before i start ranting let me,just go over the positives because i,like to be nice sometimes now first off,i just want to say that this show,looks great from the textures to the,environments this is an upgrade from the,original clone wars in every regard,thats kind of be expected because this,technology just gets better and better,as the years go on provided that the,studio gives them the time and money to,do it id even go so far to say that,this show can look cinematic at times,these moments come rarely and the,average episode isnt like that but when,it does it fucking hits and i actually,look up for my phone for a change and i,have to say this one but major props to,d bradley baker aka the voice of abba,and all the clones in this show this man,is literally the entire main cast and he,is doing everything he can to make this,work especially since the writing is,doing him no favors also i like the,soundtrack and that one cameo just the,one and thats it all right,lets do this separated due to a,fundamental difference in ideology,thats cute you thinking i care you,cant talk about this show without,talking about the characters as they are,emblematic of every problem that this,show has this team of clones we are,saddled with as main characters dont,work and that is shocking because clone,wars was able to make every clone feel,like an individual we had entire arcs,that just followed them but here despite,being upgraded to the main stars and,getting comparatively more time with,them they are somehow severely,underwritten existing as tropes nothing,more with a zero and i mean this,zero chemistry between them or any type,of character development this show,doesnt give us any reason to like these,guys outside of being the dad batch,heavy had more character development in,one episode than hunter did in the,entire first season and the fact that,this is primarily first and foremost an,action adventure show is no excuse for,these characters to be as boring as they,are it all comes down to the characters,they exemplify every issue that this,story has so were just gonna go through,all them and figure out what doesnt,work here so lets start with the first,one shall we,wrecker who collects the bounty oh look,it talks hes the dumb strong guy he,likes to punch things explosions and,popcorn and personally i love the big,strong guy trope show me an idiot with a,bombastic personality who fights and,ill watch their shtick for days wrecker,is just frustrating because hes written,to just be an actual child theres a,difference between making a character,simple and writing them to have a mental,deficiency to help define them besides,their physical strength but wrecker gets,none of that hes written to be the,second child of the group that omega has,a friend to hang out with hes just,stupid and strong which tears towards,hodor levels of bad which is a trope,that ive never liked and i wanted to,die he isnt using any interesting ways,his entire skill set is punch and blow,shit up if they used him more creative,ways if theyre using more variety i,could see him working in some capacity,but he like the rest of the cast for a,supposedly elite task force,theyre actually boring to watch,there is not a fourth thing about,wrecker he exists entirely to be an,action figure and while i do think,wrecker and omega being best friends is,adorable it doesnt say the fact that,hes boring you can project everything,about him i would rank him as the worst,of the bad batch at least i can remember,that he exists,which great now i have to go pick on a,nerdy kid,just like i said oh,it is just like you said,tech might as well be a droid he hacks,things and does tech support hes the,resident smart guy barely doing anything,and i continually forget his name he is,just a trope in a play to the t youd be,a little sassy sometimes but thats not,breaking any new ground tech has the,funny signs on the show but theyre all,one-liners theres no real banter,between him the rest of the characters,that lets me really help appreciate him,more appreciate what he brings to the,team his only other gimmick is that,hell know things ahead of time and not,mention it he knew the inherit chips and,said nothing this could be a source of,conflict that he withholds information,that the team needs

if you could have one thing anything,what would it be,in 2016 I was scrolling along on,Facebook one night and I came across a,video that auto played since I could,never get the autoplay to turn itself,off had it not been for that I never,would have given this trailer a look but,there it was forcing itself into my,brain no look its Jason Momoa and a,girl without a leg on a skateboard in,the desert what is this I decided I had,to watch whatever this was before I even,finished the trailer but it wasnt in,theaters near me so I had to wait now,eventually it popped up on Netflix and,its still there I enjoyed every single,weird and beautiful second of this film,initially it was going to go in my weird,but great category of reviews but upon,watching a second and now third time I,can without a doubt say that the bad,batch is totally underrated lets be,clear its likely you wont know what,the hell youre watching the first time,you see this but if you can at least,appreciate blisteringly brilliant,cinematography and weird music choices,to go along with some dark and sometimes,overtly disturbing imagery youll feel,at home anyway to begin with were given,almost no exposition actually we arent,given any at all,we hear what sounds like a jail and,someone being released someone named,Marlin finally a picture pops up someone,being tattooed with a serial number this,is what they do to the bad badge inmates,and the film leaves it purely up to us,to decide what that means,arlynn is then shoved out into the,desert by the corrections officers and,locked out of the fence surrounding the,prison with just a sandwich some of her,belongings and a jug of water only this,isnt just the prison,and shes walking away we see a sign,that explains shes leaving the,territory of Texas and that she no,longer is a citizen of the United States,it isnt long until Arlen is bum-rush by,some mystery figures and we arent,really told why theyre after her but,obviously it cant be good right,actually theyre cannibals and they are,having Arlen for dinner Im not gonna,lie this doesnt show much gore but its,still a disturbing scene and its made,much more so by Arlen screams and,muffled pleas for mercy,its not for the squeamish thats for,sure but Arlen is an absolute survivor,waking up without a leg and an arm she,wastes no time in rescuing herself,laying on a damn skateboard and,literally scooting her crippled body,away from danger only to end up in the,desert slowly dying of thirst,eventually Arlen scoots past a fine,comfort sign which is hilarious and also,a bit of advice all in the same comfort,you see is an actual place five months,later Arlen has more or less recovered,and is in comfort a sort of gypsy,village surrounded by a wall of shipping,containers and armed guards no doubt,protecting themselves from the cannibals,in the desert,basically Comfort is Venice Beach,without the beach and a little more Mad,Max and I mean that in the best way,possible if Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad,had done way too much of that meth he,cooked up he would pretty much end up as,Giovanni Ribisi character here who plays,no part in this story other than being a,crazy dirtbag who also kind of looks,like Linus from Charlie Brown hes,delightfully insane just like the rest,of this movie,film is just so atmospheric and,mesmerizing sometimes it really does,feel more like a music video than,anything but you know what thats okay,were all along in this weird little,ride it isnt long before the Cuban,monstrosity known as Miami man pops up,on screen Jason Momoa is bigger than,hes ever been here and looks slightly,more murdery than usual fitting since he,is the leader of the bridge people the,technical name for the cannibals,everyone in comfort are hiding from now,hes got a daughter he obviously cares,for and well he paints quite well is he,using a Walkman now the film gets a,little more interesting here because,just after Miami man kills another one,of the prisoners and chops her to bits,Im not gonna show that part because I,will get demonetized its gross but,cannibals good stuff yeah anyway,Miami mans wife I guess is who this is,actually remarks so sick,but Miami man is simply doing whatever,he needs to do to ensure his daughter,survives everyone in this story is just,doing what they need to do to survive,save for one guy now Ill get to him,later on,now Arlen eventually gets a hold of a,gun and like any revenge star of convict,wood sets back out into the desert to,find the cannibals,now the first people she runs into our,Miami mans wife and his daughter out,rummaging through trash just to find,some supplies Arlen gives the woman a,few words before gunning her down right,in front of the girl oddly enough the,girl doesnt flinch and it kind of makes,you think what kind of has she seen now,Arlen takes the girl to comfort I guess,she doesnt want to leave around the,desert just to die or fend for herself,and possibly a little bit of maternal,instinct I dont know but anyway she,takes Miami mans daughter to comfort,and soon after Miami man kind of,realizes its been a while since his,wife and kid had been out and he sets,out to find them only to find his wife,being pecked to death by crows well then,okay thats nice,jim carrey the crazy hobo is nearby and,directs miami man and his scooter to,comfort this is where the movies truly,begins or at least where it evolves,Keanu Reeves is dropped in just in time,for some plot thickening glory as the,dream a polygamy cult leader who seems a,lot like a mortal Joe from Mad Max fury,road only with a little more neo and a,lot more Unabomber he throws the best,Rays the apocalypse has ever seen if,this isnt apocalypse its never really,shown or said or explained or anything,like that its probably just big old,socialist California not my political,opinion Im just making a joke and you,laughed carry on,basically Arlen gets high half and loses,the daughter in the party like an idiot,and then wanders into the desert where,Miami man finds her now youd think he,would just kill her but hes not an,animal and hes also a little smarter,than you look,actually he needs information and shes,too blasted to give it to him so he,waits,and what to take you to confer and you,will go and say a fire for me Im going,to stop explaining the plot right now,because I feel like thats a good end,point and you can watch this film on,Netflix and you should or you can buy it,on Amazon Ill leave a link below but,basically there is no way this movie,should be as good as it is because Im,gonna try to not butcher this if I The Bad Batch Season 1 – REVIEW

[Music],hey guys all right overall the bad batch,i thought was good star wars you know,how that term gets tossed around a lot,nowadays so what constitutes good star,wars from bad star wars obviously,everyone has their own opinion which is,totally fine but if theres one thing,ive learned in my time making star wars,videos its that people associate star,wars with one important central theme,nostalgia star wars that builds new,narratives introduces new characters but,also makes reference to george lucass,idea of star wars is what constitutes,good star wars the prequels i think have,always felt so george lucas hes telling,a story hes building characters hes,writing clunky dialogue here everything,is soft,and smooth,but hes also doing so much world,building and half the time youre not,even aware of it and the bad match had,moments that fulfilled this its an,important time in the star wars universe,just after order 66 were yet to see the,republic become the empire theres still,so much space within those 30 years,between juventus sith and new hope left,to fill theres so much we havent seen,and the bad batch has been nailing this,so far with one location in particular,camino unfortunately though in between,the camino scenes there was a lot of,stuff where it was like all right come,on now you know lets lets move this,thing along lets go lets go a little,few pacing issues and a little uh lets,go with a lot of filler which im sure,you guys have also been aware of we,dont need to see all of the random,ragtag adventures these guys go on,especially because a lot of them dont,even build character its not like,theyre developing other parts of the,story as weve seen in the mandalorian,like the episode with those giant,spiders that was like one of my favorite,episodes just because how much we see,his character evolve but for this show,we want more republic commandos more,clones killing clones a clone uprising,whats rex up to wheres boba fett,during this time what are they cloning,why does hunter literally never take off,his headband,dude like hes literally wearing it all,the time everybody gets his chip removed,so this is my review of the bad batch,season one hey everyone its andrew,episode one sets the series off with a,bang 75 glorious minutes of order 66 and,what happens immediately after lucasfilm,have been laying down the order 66,scenes pretty frequently as of late it,was jedi fall in order with cals,perspective we got clone wars season,seven with ahsoka and rex and the bad,batch with kanan jarrus and clone force,99 honestly i dont think they needed to,include kanan i mean it feels like,theyre taking every opportunity to,connect all these stories together looks,like well be getting more of that in,season two with cloning as well well,get to that in a bit but this episode,was great we see the clones following,the orders of the empire the confusion,this causes and that one of their own,turns cross hair thats the initial,conflict that sparks my interest the,fact theyre losing their brother to the,empire so will he return to them will he,wake up and realize will their chips,wear off gets you in also omegas,character really glad shes just not,some useless kid shes basically in,charge by the end of the series runs,this show okay episode two loved it,remember what i said about nostalgia,they brought back a dude from season two,of the clone wars who was literally only,in one episode and whos a bit of an,anomaly cut laquan the deserter what a,great idea to have the boys go for a,visit and see possibly one of the only,clones who did not execute order 66.,hunter goes undercover takes off his,gear but you know keeps the headband,with the bad batch insignia,like theyre not going to notice come on,he looks like a clone as well hes,literally wearing the logo they that,their squad logo and we also see the,beginning of the empires chain code,program which will allow them to keep,track of every living creature in the,galaxy and its really setting up for,some dark themes isnt it episode 3 was,all about the bad batches replacements,ah yes so theyre introducing the,transition from clones to stormtroopers,these special op soldiers are the first,stage of that and thats what we were,hoping to see in the show how the,republic became the empire how the clone,army became the stormtroopers we also,get properly introduced to rampart who,is a huge advocate for conscripted,soldiers and this guy here the soldier,dude he also makes a case for the empire,in favor of the republic with the empire,i get paid i get fed and i have a roof,over my head,thats more than the republic ever did,for me so already were starting to see,some different perspectives were seeing,the evil tyrannical empire take over led,by the emperor theyre also seeing some,people happy with that and theyre,giving us reasons to understand why the,empire grew in power and why so many,citizens throughout the galaxy were,happy that the empire had taken over so,far really engaging stuff all right next,episode is number four the boys head to,pantora and this is when it feels like,the bad bats are truly on their own,theyre out of fuel out of food and need,to stock up and lie low for a while,while they figure out how to survive and,avoid the empire and we start to learn,that a mega is valuable extremely,valuable shes being hunted by fennec,shan so again shows are tying into one,another you know she was in the,mandalorian now shes here but what,theyre doing in this episode is setting,the stakes omega is in danger shes,valuable for some unknown reason as of,yet and the bad batch need to save her,all right so far so good enjoying the,show and good plot progression when,going places but episode 5 is where,things started to get a little dry the,bad batch become bounty hunters slash,mercenaries which is when they also,become a little aimless directionless,from this point forward theyre,basically just working for money to stay,alive and i dont really have a higher,purpose apart from protecting one,another and over the next few episodes,its implied that they perform dozens of,missions for sit honestly though i,thought the coolest thing about this,episode was sids office clone trooper,and mando helmet the wii star 34 blaster,pistols used by django oh and we see a,mega rescue the bad batch even though,they told her to just stay in the ship,so we get another indication of her,bravery now this was the part of the,series where i was like hmm where are we,going next been a few episodes since,weve seen kamino and the show is,becoming more like a random adventure,every week rather than uh this is how,the empire began and i want to see more,of the latter now while making this,video and going back and watching parts,of each episode episode six is one i,completely forgot existed,which means it was very forgettable and,guess who was involved oh why did they,bring them back the martez sisters rafa,nadal and trace if only it was actually,rafael nadal because then this episode,might have actually been interesting,seriously the clone wars season 7 martez,sisters arc might be the most,unre-watchable arc of the clone wars i,dont want to go back and re-watch it,please dont make me the bad batch head,to corellia tasked with retrieving the,head of a separatist tactical droid and,the only interesting thing i think,happens is the ending with the hologram,everyones speculating this is bale or,ghana or maul but nope its just wrecks,and a cloak all right here we go back to,some actual action episode seven the,boys meet up with rex and head to braga,from jedi floor order good old calamity,kesters hiding somewhere under all this,scrap hes here and this episode has,some real tension it was possibly the,peak of the series because its all,about getting their inhibitor chips,removed wreck has been getting the,headaches about to go crazy and eat,everyone execute order 66 and please his,appetite and rex is desperate to remove,all their inhibited chips love the,tension in this

The Bad Batch Season One Review – The Best First Season for Star Wars Animation?

the first season of the bad batch is,complete so how did all 16 episodes work,together as one large story i think they,worked very well looking back at the,clone wars star wars rebels and star,wars resistance i think the bad batch,had the strongest first season of any,animated star wars series i think part,of that comes from the fact that it,builds so well off of what came before,in the clone wars or in some cases what,comes later in star wars rebels and even,the mandalorian yes this series was,cameo heavy and thats probably the most,consistent criticism i saw online,throughout the season small galaxy cameo,of the week etc i can understand that,but i thought the cameos were all used,effectively cad bane for example it was,so much fun to see him pop back up and,when you need a threatening bounty,hunter there isnt anyone better at this,point in the timeline the only episode,that made me pause was the first one on,ryloth devils deal only because i felt,like hera was completely overshadowing,the characters the series was supposed,to be about its certainly not the end,of the world but i do find it odd that,something like that happens when we have,yet to really explore tech or echo and,of course that said while devils deal,wasnt my favorite the following episode,rescue on ryloth was one of my favorites,and it wouldnt have worked as well,without all the prior setup there were a,couple of times this season where i,think the series would have benefited,from taking advantage of the fact that,it airs on a streaming service most of,the episodes were consistent in length,but they dont have to be the,mandalorian has run times all over the,place each episode is as long as it,needs to be maybe the ryloth arc but,especially the finale i think would have,been great as one combined long episode,i enjoyed the final episode but not,nearly as much as return to kamino,combining the two-part finale may have,removed some of my criticisms because,return to camino was another favorite,episode of mine but looking back over,the season there were a lot of really,strong episodes aftermath battle scars,reunion rescue on ryloth war mantle and,return to camino all jump out at me,immediately thats over a third of the,season that i would consider to be,excellent and most of the rest of the,episodes were still good i know some,people like to throw the filler word,around but i just didnt feel that every,episode had something to say at the very,least the characters would learn a,lesson or we would learn something about,the galaxy or the empire or the era in,general there was only one episode this,season that left me underwhelmed and,that was infested it seemed to throw off,the momentum of the season which had,been steadily building and i still have,a hard time putting together why we had,to see it at that point or at all im,sure elements from it will pay off in,future seasons and thats fine but i,just dont see what it accomplishes for,our characters this season that said,return to camino made me look at,infested slightly differently crosshairs,argument about how the batch are running,around the galaxy handling missions that,are beneath them rings true because we,just saw them doing that and infested,and we wondered why anyway disliking,only one episode out of 16 is a pretty,great track record but lets explore,some of the themes of the series i felt,like saw gerreras line in the first,episode was going to be important and i,believe it did wind up being a major,focus of the season you can either adapt,and survive or die with the past the bad,batch minus crosshair are thrown into,unfamiliar territory when they leave the,empire they have to learn to take care,of a child they have to learn to live in,a galaxy as their own people without,orders or any kind of safety net no,money no resupplies no one to tell them,whats right when they start working,with sid they have to learn to question,authority and take more responsibility,for their actions i think were going to,continue seeing them adapting to this,new galaxy but the question of how much,adaptation is acceptable will probably,come up mercenaries dont always work,for good people accepting change you,cant control and learning to live with,it is a good thing up to a point i mean,look at saw gerrera hes the man that,made that statement but then we know he,winds up taking it way too far he does,some seriously bad stuff in the name of,the fight against the empire you need to,adapt and change yes but not so much,that you lose yourself and your sense of,whats right meanwhile we look back at,crosshair and were still exploring,whats going on with him but right now i,feel comfortable suggesting hes someone,that is afraid to adapt he is,comfortable as a soldier and he wants a,defined purpose he wants orders he just,wants to be told whats right and whats,wrong rather than figure it out for,himself even though we see in the finale,that he is capable of making those,decisions on his own i want to make it,clear that im simplifying things for,him just to get at the themes im not,trying to be too understanding to the,war criminal that had civilians executed,but he certainly feels like that friend,or family member that has gone off the,deep end and then we see the batch in,the finale having to decide how far is,too far to go for him they offer him the,chance to come home with them they even,offer him some understanding but i,really liked text line about how yes you,can absolutely try to understand why,someone makes the choices they do,without agreeing with them all they can,do is offer him the chance to be better,but they cant make the decision for him,ive been surprised at how much this,series has attempted to tackle and,surprise is just a good way to describe,my feelings towards the bad batch as a,whole i was definitely one of those,people that was confused by the initial,announcement of the series like really,those guys but i have loved spending,time with them every week they so,quickly transformed from their very,over-the-top personalities that we saw,in season seven of the clone wars and,two,still pretty much over-the-top,personalities but with so much heart and,i havent even talked about omega yet,who is an absolute treasure maybe its,partially because i just know what to,expect from star wars animation now but,i didnt have any of that awkward,getting to know you feelings that i got,from ahsoka or ezra which is part of,their story by the way im not trying to,trash clone wars or rebels obviously,their series are about them growing up,and maturing but i was on board with,omega from day one and i think its so,fun seeing her be the voice of reason,and helping her brothers learn how to,follow their consciences instead of,orders and it does make sense seeing as,she is a not a soldier and b the oldest,one of them there were so many elements,of this series that i wound up,forgetting to mention in my episode,reviews just because they were so,consistently good which just means we,were really spoiled in a lot of ways but,obviously the series looked astounding,the water effects the plant life on,planets like raxis or darrow the,textures and the lighting i remember a,shot on ryloths moon that took my,breath away the music by kevin keiner,was wonderful which again weve all come,to expect from his previous work but i,quickly fell in love with the intense,feeling crosshairs theme gave me and the,main theme really grew on me having it,explode and return to camino when the,whole team was fighting together again,im getting chills just writing about it,now and the sound design had some fun,things to listen out for hearing so many,sound effects from the republic commando,game in war mantle along with the,on-screen return of the clone commandos,was so much fun shout out to sound,designer david collins whos going to be,joining us for a chat on the channel,soon so keep an eye out for that but,this series just felt like it was full,of love and heart and so much talent so,congr

Bad Batch season 1 was very disappointing

well guys season one of the bad batch,has finally come to a close and i have,been seriously dreading this video ever,since about the halfway point of the,season when i knew this review was not,going to be a positive one i seriously,wanted the season to just never end so,that id never have to talk about it you,guys have to understand something a,story about the bad batch during and,directly after order 66 is something,ive been wanting to see for years ever,since the unfinished clone wars episodes,came out all the way back in 2014 but,even with that in mind when they,announced this show i couldnt help but,think,really,this when i said i wanted this story i,was hoping more for maybe a comic or,some kind of republic commando style,video game a show centered around these,characters just felt like something that,was doomed to fail and i wont pretend i,wasnt plenty skeptical well before it,even began but thats not to say i,didnt want to love it just like with,any other star wars project i dont like,i of course was hoping the show would,prove me wrong and after the first,trailer dropped my hype was pretty much,restored in full the show had so much,promise and i figured if absolutely,nothing else it would at least be decent,and you know what i cant exactly say my,assessment was wrong the thing is this,show isnt necessarily bad its not good,by any stretch but its just so,mediocre it had such a surface level and,unsatisfying story with bland characters,and so much wasted potential but hey,clone action pew pew right guys its,relevant to say that there are a lot of,arguments i hear used to defend this,show arguments that i myself had once,used because if im being honest my,distaste for this show was a gradual,thing i loved the series premiere and,still do and the episodes that followed,all seemed to just get less and less,engaging the further along we got but an,argument youll most often hear is star,wars animation has always done filler we,never griped about it with the clone,wars and thats not exactly an honest,reflection of how we as an audience view,these shows fans do really love the,clone wars yes but for those of you who,werent part of this fandom back in the,early days of that show that wasnt,always the case the thing about the,clone wars is that the first couple of,seasons really arent that good they,have their fair share of gems but for,the most part the animation is stunted,and awkward and mostly unfinished the,acting can sometimes come off as wooden,and the stories being told are usually,not very interesting and for being,honest the show didnt really ever grow,out of having arcs that are just plain,awful even the acclaimed seventh season,have the notorious martez sister arc and,pretty much everyone will agree that,those episodes are bad the difference is,that the clone wars got better about,having much more memorable better arcs,answer me honestly if i were to say the,clone wars season 5 whats the first arc,that would just instantly pop into your,head is it the ark where a bunch of,droids wander aimlessly through an,orange desert for an entire episode or,is it the arc where darth maul takes,over mandalore and kills the woman,obi-wan loves is it the arc where ahsoka,leads a bunch of younglings as they,narrowly escape capture from pirates or,is it the arc where shes framed for a,crime she didnt commit and ultimately,decides to leave the jedi order these,shows have always had bad episodes to,bog them down but the clone wars did a,much better job of balancing them out,with the good ones bad batch has some,good episodes yeah but theyre few and,far between and that makes the episodes,that dont stick really stand out by,comparison and ive been saying this for,years now ever since the first season of,mando but these types of shows really,dont work as weekly releases it,seriously baffles me that in this age of,streaming services were still getting,weekly episodes as opposed to all at,once look im no fool obviously i,understand why disney plus releases,their shows the way they do they want to,get people subscribing to them for as,long as possible if someone only uses,their service for the mandalorian then,releasing the season all at once means,theyll just watch it as quickly as,possible cancel their subscription and,renew it when the next season comes out,its much smarter from a simple business,standpoint to release these episodes,weekly so that people will be forced to,have disney plus subscriptions for much,longer thus putting more money in the,mouses pocket but like ive been saying,for years now just because i get why it,is the way that it is doesnt mean i,have to like it understanding you does,not mean that i agree with you but i,think this show would have worked a lot,better if a it had been released all at,once and b it had been a lot shorter,there are 16 episodes this season and i,counted there are only like 10 or 11 of,them that are actually relevant and even,then a couple of them could have been,dropped or saved for next season if you,really wanted to along with this new age,of streaming the format with which we,watch these shows has also changed some,shows still havent gotten the memo but,for the most part the days of having 15,to 20 episodes a season are done and,gone nowadays viewers much more vastly,prefer shorter seasons that tell one,singular concise story without any,diverging paths you guys already know i,love rebels i wont pretend i wasnt,excited to see hera again but did we,really need two whole episodes focusing,on her no we didnt and thats a problem,with most of these episodes actually way,too many returning cameos this is,another one that i defended at first,because i think the concept of,characters weve seen in other things,returning in these shows is actually a,good idea people are often way too quick,to cry forced fanservice but im,personally of the belief that this helps,the universe feel a lot more connected,and woven together you can return to,rebels and realize that three of the,main characters lives were heavily,influenced by the bad batch and i think,thats pretty cool just because a cameo,happens does not mean its fan service,and i argued this point a lot more in my,mando season 2 video so go check that,out but the point is i get tired of,hearing those words when in all reality,theres nothing inherently wrong with it,especially if those cameos are in,surface of the story lets take a look,at some of the returning characters from,the show and see how many of them,actually service the story grand moff,tarkin is an imperial makes total sense,ill allow it saw herrera i kind of,think this guy is forced into like every,new canon story these days but he isnt,exactly out of place and he serves to,further cross hairs characterization so,ill allow it finnick shand and cad bane,these are both characters who further,the plot concerning the bounty on,omegas head it has less to do with the,empire but its still relevant assuming,we get any kind of follow through in the,later seasons with the kaminoan plot,ill allow it captain rex,im sorry to say i have trouble finding,a reason why hes important to this,story dont get me wrong i love the,character and of course i was glad to,see him again but unless they do,something with his character later on i,cant really justify his place in this,already crowded ensemble of cameos and,that goes just as well for cut laquan,the martez sisters and gregor scorch,best character on the show 10 out of 10.,i hope you guys get my point by now you,can personally love seeing some of these,characters returning but it happens like,every single episode and it gets pretty,old after a while seriously guys i dont,need to know how jabba got his rancor,what the i wouldnt even mind these,filler episodes that much if they were,used to develop some of these characters,but thats apparently asking too much,once again we find ourselves with yet,another ensemble cast and this show,never takes the time to flesh any of,them out anythin

Star Wars: Bad Batch Season 1 – The Final Verdict

[Music],uh i know its been a while i know its,been what like you know almost a month,since the series completed uh but just,like superman and lois by the way that,review uh finale review is out fighter,verdict is out go check that out one out,we want to do the same for bad batch,weve got to finish what we start so i,dont really care how many views it gets,i do want to leave uh my opinion on this,star wars content now i will say right,away uh as i began uh episode 10 i,believe it is,um i was just like man feels good to be,watching some star wars there was some,great stuff after superman and lois,some up in downs there and and the,mandalorian been missing the mandalorian,um so it was good to watch some some,star wars stuff but uh let me go ahead,and get to the point um well do our,individual episode ratings and then a,uh sort of final verdict on the season,overall uh but much like lois and or,superman and lois,i want to say that i enjoyed the series,and i think you should watch it but i,think just like superman and lois very,similar to that it is flawed uh and,really theres only sort of one subplot,and and uh the story,is stunted a little bit uh its not the,greatest story in the world but it is,told uh strongly,and then theres one subplot that is a,pattern throughout the entire series,that its just annoying and uh its just,uh grinding and the series also suffers,from a lot of filler episodes in a,relatively short season its not short,shorting compared to some of the other,uh clone wars content and rebels content,that weve got 16 episodes of season one,i felt like a lot of it uh was filler,as they try to stretch out the story for,what ultimately is here it doesnt feel,like its advancing the star wars,universe,pretty much at all and thats fine i,mean we like street level stuff uh but,you know,when its told like this it has some,flaws but ultimately i enjoyed it i like,the bad batch team,uh i like the people that surround the,bad badge team but i think i dont like,them as much as i do the rebels,cast and their surrounding characters,and the clone wars cast and their,surrounding characters and the,situations that weve seen in those,seasons and the stories in those seasons,so its solid but not as strong as a lot,of the other star wars content that,weve got what is your guys opinion i,didnt i do like the action the,animation on this i do want to visit uh,clone wars and the other ones youre,talking about this one was a little bit,less than no this ones i liked it less,yeah this one yes,because the main thing with me,is omega yeah it its thats what i was,talking about it seems like she took,over the squad its like hey we have to,do this we got to do this its like,please we got to do this its like stay,in the ship stay in the ship negative,negative,we gotta save omega yeah just,over and over and a lot of those filler,episodes you based on or do,i would have preferred her to be like in,the comms or do something else,and just let the bad badge be the bad,bat,yeah no its the dead badge yeah um,this one this one i was excited for the,series i was really excited for because,i was thinking we were gonna get the a,team in the star wars universe and we,ended up with four men and a baby,and its a bunch of grown-ups acting,like kids and kids trying to big,grown-ups but its not fair because i,want to do stuff and i want to go on the,mission and,and its you know,you have four or five help too yeah i,can do this four grown men that are,going into certain death only because a,little kid says no hunter thats not,what we do its like,this is not it is i was so painfully,aware that this tv series was not for me,and it wasnt im not the target,audience this is for people who want to,introduce star wars to their kids,and i think the kids may enjoy it,although im of the opinion that you can,show kids,even something like the mandalorian and,have them understand and appreciate it,yeah and it doesnt you dont have to,dumb things down for kids and this feels,like its so dumbed down,and theres some incredible stuff here,the music is good the theres some some,scenes in the final episode that are,gorgeous some of the best animation ive,ever seen great sound is,i wont even recommend you watch it if,you unless youre watching with kids or,you want to watch something that is,i think its absolutely dumbed down for,children i dont think this is worth,watching well thats what i was saying i,wanted to watch clone wars because like,that doesnt deal with the kids right,i mean,here and there theres theres theres,episodes that have younger people in it,you know that this obviously you know a,lot of the people were younger and then,weve seen them in in previous star wars,content,as older but um yeah so i mean i,echo some of those sentiments uh so,lets um,anyways so heres the thing uh lets,just go with the final verdict for the,season as a whole and i know i gave out,a lot of seven and eights uh and and,sixes but i think im being,i got my star wars goggles on for sure,and because i i have all the greater,context of the animations or the the,clone wars and the rebels but i totally,admit that this series is not up to that,those now what i expected uh its better,than what was it star wars resistance or,star wars you know the fighter pilot one,that only lasted like one season or,something awful uh not awful it was no,it was just pointless uh so its better,than that but you know its its not up,to the level and my star wars goggles is,led you know getting in in the way uh,lets go with final verdicts of the,entire season,the entire season there were some high,points but it was mainly the music the,animation,the battles but overall the whole story,was very tropey and,very uh inconsistent again,omega ruined a lot of impactful moments,for me yeah probably five theres just,an average one im i dont really wanna,see season eight or season eight season,two yeah yeah this feels this feels like,average tv which is which is a shame,because theres so many talented people,surrounding it and its an ip that i,absolutely love,uh and i like i said i couldnt,recommend people unless youve got,really little kids but even then like if,your kids arent dumb i think that they,would appreciate the original trilogy,and theres theres you can watch clone,wars you can watch rebels and i think,all of those things are better than this,one so probably everything it sounds,better,joe please please watch clone wars give,you greater context for a lot of other,things but i i agree um im gonna go,with a six out of ten and its not a,tough love six out of ten its just its,just flat six out of ten you know what i,mean because because superman and lois,could have had a seven could have been,better but this one its like im not,gonna go back and re-watch this one i,might go back and rewatch some episodes,of superman and lois to kind of check,and check things out but i think,ultimately i had some good ones but,thats with my goggles on a six out of,ten you know,uh,alex is right go watch some of this,other content drew,uh first before you watch uh and i know,were gonna get down voted because i,know to start the animation and star,wars and dave filoni they have,rabbit fans right and again,down voters he praised that it was a,story its not its not up to par with,some of the greats that theyve put out,so far and who and and star wars visions,right around the corner i i dont know,where its gonna factor in is it gonna,is that gonna be better than this is,this better than that but im not,excited for season two um it was it was,too much omega it was too much,repetition and too much filler episodes,for it to reach uh the night the the the,heights other things have and thats a,perfect summary it is the dead batch so,thats it for us here at the angry joe,show and for our bad bad star wars,review i hope you guys enjoyed,and uh yeah well see,what kind of stuff theyll tease us with,season two in the trailer that they,eventually released for it but im not,excited mor
