thing ,and ill do that right now and then here we are my friends and as i shared with you on ,that video heres my 800 score so how this works and in fact what i want you to do if you havent ,seen that original video yet ill include a link to that video above as well as down below in the ,description and it talks about a little bit of how credit comment actually works how they calculate ,credit scores but they pull from two different ways transunion which is one of the major ,credit reporting bureaus as well as equifax there is another one called experian but for this ,purpose they only have these two whats really cool about credit karma as you can see right here ,its checked daily on transunion i think thats kind of cool equifax is usually i think its like ,once a week or so itll pop in a new score here or an updated score based on what is going on ,so i got to tell you guys really quick years ago i would hop over to annualcreditreport.com ,and uh once a year i would just pull up my credit report now that was my credit report not my credit ,score so it was just kind of like that was what i was doing just to kind of monitor my credit ,and sometimes i would use my credit card benefits to see what my credit score was but ill tell you ,what now that i use credit karma its been just super easy you can either do it this way here on ,the browser as we have up right now or you can hop over on the phone theres an app for credit karma ,that you can keep an eye on as well so heres the trick what im going to do is im going to walk ,you through exactly how i do this and why its important lets say youre sitting here with a 500 ,or a 600 credit score how do you get that up into the exceptional range you want to get it ,as high as possible the maximum score is an 850 so higher the better all right im going to click on ,well start with transunion and as you see here on the browser you just click on whatever you want ,okay so im going to start with transients click on it and thats going to take you over to this ,next screen now heres where its going to show you some history and i want to point something out ,because i know a lot of you are going to zoom in here right now and be like wait a minute look ,whats going on down here you werent at an 800 back here in early 2021. whats going on here 791 ,i was doing a test and specifically what i was doing back here is i decided to max out ,one of my credit cards i still pay it off every single month in full so that way im not debt ,free and carrying over a balance but because i maxed out that credit card my utilization ,went very low and when your utilization goes low your credit score drops and ill explain what ,that means in just a moment but as you can see right now im sitting at an 814 you can see up ,here went up to an 817 all is fine thats great if i want to hop over to equifax i can either ,go back to the home screen or just click right here and right here we go 811 went up to an 814 ,and down here to 787 during my little test so im gonna hop back to transient the very first thing ,you want to do is look down below here this is the key of what you want to look at when ,it comes down to how do i improve my credit score the very first thing is your payment history the ,easiest way to get your credit score up are these two right here payment history and credit card use ,now if youve had some prior months where you werent doing too well with your payment history ,youre gonna have to keep focusing on that its a little bit more of a marathon but ,every single month make sure you pay your credit card on time at minimum and pay your loans on time ,every single month dont ever ever delay no matter what you can do scrape as much money ,get a side hustle work for dominoes deliver pizza on the weekends figure your way out to never have ,to be late on any payments ever thats a key point the next step and this is important lets say your ,payment history is on point but your credit score is at like a 600 or 700 you want to get ,it up a little bit higher and youre like well my payment history which is a high impact a very ,good weight to your credit score thats looking great well the next step you want to look at is ,over here at the credit card use its basically looking at how much of your available credit line ,are you using creditors look at it this way if all of a sudden you have like lets say a twenty ,thousand dollar limit on your credit and youre using nineteen thousand dollars that means you ,only have one thousand dollars left to spend on credit the higher that amount is the more risky ,creditors find you to be the reason for that is theyre worried that youre going to go rogue ,and you might not be able to pay your bills because you have too much racked up in debt ,so im going to actually dive into this is another cool thing about credit card if you ,click on any one of these boxes itll give you a deeper dive im going to click on credit card use ,for an example its going to pop me over here and let me know whats going on first thing i want to ,point out is right over here check this out right here two percent so i have an eighty four thousand ,dollar credit line right now at fifteen hundred dollars is being used this is basically my uh ,credit card that i continuously pay off in full every single month sometimes i dont always hit ,the statement date so it gets reported but look at this zero to nine percent is boom bam great ,10 to 29 is still good so ill give you one thumb up instead of two and then we get serious around ,49 to 30 percent anything down below here is what you want to avoid my friends is 49 down to 75 ,plus if youre using that much of your available credit right here you got to stop you got to get ,this i was looking around for the reviews just like you and i want to,start at the beginning of this video and let you know,that i am not getting paid by anybody to do this review,thats not the point of sweet life money in this channel im not here to be a,sellout im here to give you my own personal reviews on things based,on what i find and ive been hearing a lot of things,about credit karma so i figured okay first let me see what kind of,reviews are out there so i looked around and theres a lot of hate,about credit karma so i said you know what heck with it,its free im just gonna go to creditkarma.com and,sign up so i did and uh you know i im gonna give you my,review in just a moment ill be honest with you you know youve been following,my channel you know and if you havent im a big,follower of dave ramsey and you know papa dave will not be happy,right now that im talking about credit scores because credit scores to,him is an i love debt score well but to be honest this is the one,place where i kind of stray away from that piece because,nowadays credit scores are kind of important i mean for your mortgage and,for loans and things like that if you need them,and honestly sometimes even jobs now look at your credit score,so i think its important to if youre smartly managing,how you handle your money your credit score,will come along as a positive benefit and not a negative benefit,now credit karma what they use is a calculation called,vantage score three vantage score is a just basically a way of taking the,information from the credit reporting agencies such as transunion,equifax and experian and reporting out what that score is based on your credit,history theres also other things like fico you might have heard about the fico,score right they have uh fico one two three right,now fico eight is kind of the main way that a lot of lenders,pull your credit score so fico 8 is definitely something to look at,and coming up soon is fico 10. so really quick,dont want to bore you ill put another video on this a little bit later but,fico 10 what theyre going to do with that,is actually do some trend data so in the last 24 months,did you carry a balance on your credit cards and things like that,month over month over month did you consolidate loans,in any period of time so fico 10 is going to give lenders,an even more deeper look into how you handle your debt and how you handle your,money so credit karma uses vantage 3.0 and i,think right there is why a lot of people get upset,and theres a lot of reviews out there saying that credit karma,is not correct well thats why i say be careful,because you could go into one of those review and just say oh wow looks like,theres a lot of hate toward credit karma,but if you got the hacks if youve got the tips right here from the suite life,money channel youll know how you can handle this a,little bit better so with the vantage score its just a different way of,reporting vantage what they do is they basically,take a combined set of credit reports and thats how they,basically assume your calculation on how well your credit is,whereas fico they look at millions of credit reports from millions of,different people and based on your performance with the,top five ways that they look at your credit,thats how they assign you a particular score,so thats the first thing to be careful of is the reviews that say credit karma,is is completely off i i dont think its,really necessarily that i think its a,difference between the calculations now i want to give you my personal credit,karma review so the first thing i did credit karma.com as i mentioned earlier,i plugged in my email and signed up i will tell you first of all it was very,quick and very easy that was kind of crazy how fast this,worked literally it was within minutes and all of a sudden i had my,my credit scores i had a little bit of my credit reporting,and it was very clean looking and to the point so a lot of times i use,annualcreditreport.com in fact ill link that video above if you want to check it,out on how i pull my annual credit report,from the three major reporting agencies but with credit card,i was like wow this was quick another thing i was a little worried,about though is because i signed up with my main primary email,i was like crap why did i do that because now whats going to happen is,credit karma is going to send me an email every week,every day every hour trying to get me to buy,something so they can make some money but i will say now after a month i have,not received any emails from them except for the very first verify your,email that pretty much anybody sends when you,sign up for something so that actually surprised me now you might,wonder well how does credit come and make money im getting all this stuff,for free and you can check it anytime you want for free how do they make money,well heres where the catch is heres another thing to be careful of,credit karma makes money based on what you do on their website with,getting a loan or getting a credit card so what theyre going to do is theyre,going to say heres your credit score heres a little bit of your credit,report and heres the credit cards we recommend based,on your current state so thats where you need to say stop,hold on i dont need any more credit cards i just need to understand what my,credit score is and my credit report the moment that you apply for a credit,card or a loan thats how credit carmen makes their money now of course if you,want to support them by all means do it but i do warn you dont just get a,credit card to have a credit card you got to be smart,with how you manage your credit and your money so,i have over an 800 credit score and i have had an 800 plus credit score which,is excellent for a very long four years okay uh if,youre not aware the highest credit score you can have in the,850. so uh if you want to know how you can get an,800 credit score based on what ive learned,what i want you to do is comment below and say show me that 800.,put that in the comments below show me that 800 and i will make a video on,the exact steps that i used to turn my credit vantage,score if you want to get a fico 8 of course you can go to myfico.com but,that costs money so how might you be able to do this for free,well there are certain credit cards that part of your membership of owning that,credit card theyll actually provide your fico score,for free using fico eight okay so if you want a,difference between the vantage thing that i talked about,earlier and the fico eight thats a great way to do it i have two,credit cards that do that for me my city card and my amex card so citi,card what they use is equifax thats how they get their,information using fico 8 and then amex what they use is experian,again fico 8 so that gives me a chance to,look at that from that perspective and then look over at credit karma which,uses both transunion and equifax and i whats good everybody boy,everything today were talking about,this card right here its a card to,credit karmas,money spend account now ive actually,signed up for this since,april ive been using it for a couple,months now and im going to talk about,what the process was like,some of the benefits some of the,opportunities that they have and,basically see if this card can actually,be your,main financial institution lets go,ahead and get into it,so ive actually been using credit karma,the actual credit monitoring service,for probably about nine years now its,free it gives you daily and weekly,updates on your credit score,not only that it can has benefits like,letting you know where you stand with,all your creditors,if you miss the payment things that you,can dispute optional cards for you,ways you can save money and the biggest,benefit is,if you guys someone actually gets a hold,of your social your private information,creates a new account under your social,youll kind of get a heads up on that,right away,um itll show up on your um credit karma,account so if you guys do want to check,out credit karma there is a link,to the in the description and that way,you guys can download it sign up to 100,free but lets get into the video so,what is credit karma,money spend well its an online checking,account thats 100,free theres no minimum balance theres,no maintenance fee,theres no overdraft fee theres no not,sufficient funds fee,its basically just an online account,which it provides you with routing an,account number,so you can still process even though,theres no checks you can still process,digital payments,such as like ach and you know online,checks,so you do have access to about 55 000,atms,nationwide which is pretty good um and,that it comes without a fee,so you can use that well go into it,more a little bit later so the sign up,process was,pretty easy i was able to complete the,application and submit and get approved,within about five minutes i just had to,provide some basic information,name address tax id number etc and once,i got approved they immediately allowed,me,to well basically add this debit card,information,to either google pay or apple pay i,believe google pay is not g,pay but um but yeah you can add it,immediately and also after that,you will be able to fund the account,through an external bank account right,so if you have like,a chase bank of america capital one,wells fargo,or credit union youre gonna go ahead,and just transfer funds in there,and then it takes about three to five,business days to actually,you know have the money be available,sitting in your account and once it is,available you can start using a google,pay while youre waiting for your debit,card to get to you,now my debit card for me actually took,about two,full calendar weeks to get to me so it,was pretty,pretty good so i was able to basically,use this everywhere that i went i use it,at a grocery store,drive-through for fast food and things,like that use it to get,gas um it works just like any other,debit card right,one of the big features that it did sell,me on which i was,super super curious about was the,ability to get your paycheck,two days early now me personally i am a,salaried employee i get paid on the 15th,and the 30th and sometimes the 15th will,literally fall on,tuesday which means i got to go through,the weekend,survive the weekend and kind of be,eating rice and,spaghetti for the next two days so the,fact that if i get my paycheck,a couple days early then you know its,really really good,and for the first time it actually came,two days early,right like it actually shows up if i was,supposed to get paid on friday,or it would show up on wednesday around,10 30 a.m central standard time its,probably like you know,11 30 for eastern time and so forth you,you do the math but at the end of the,day um the paycheck actually,showed up and um or the funds actually,showed up,you know two days early which i was,super excited about so this account acts,just like a normal checking account you,have your routing and an account number,that will be provided to you,in which you can you know set up your,direct deposit from any other source,or you know youre a linked bank you can,transfer funds there ach payments online,payments,are totally accessible so you can access,over 55,000 atms nationwide without paying any,type of,fee for drawing your funds um now these,atms are set up on whats called the all,point network,and these atms are typically found,inside like targets walgreens cbs,and some of these stores arent 24 hours,so that is one kind of the drawback that,if you do want to go ahead and,get to your money some theres not a lot,of standalone atms that are,kind of like available 24 hours a day,some of them are located inside of a,convenience store,or a superstore etc so they do have this,one feature on the account its called,instacarma if you use your debit card to,make an,expenditure um you have the potential to,get reimbursed for that and they,actually updated by the minute you can,actually,view whos getting reimbursed um you,know by the minute really,its usually about four or five people,every minute and theyre getting back,like two dollars,fifteen dollars some people are even,getting back like hundreds of dollars,for their purchases so its something,like an incentive to,um utilize this card and to spend money,on it,um i think its a good thing they said,that theyve actually given away 3.99,million dollars back to people who have,um,use this card and the cool thing is all,that you can see a lot of people who are,real time getting these these,like refunds or these reimbursements and,a lot of times,people getting it back for the sixth,time so its a great incentive,and i actually like that about it so a,lot of the features that are set up,are basically done within the app um you,can go into their settings and look at,your statement you can request a,debit card replacement um everything is,really managed through that app which,makes it a little bit easier as one,centralized place,so um you dont have to hunt down for,another app etc to um,basically you know look at your spending,account so is credit karma money spend,account really ready for prime time and,i think it is although i dont think,its,ready to replace your primary checking,account because of some drawbacks,and im gonna go over them now so the,first one is that well there arent any,locations where so were gonna get that,one out the way there arent any,branches or anything like that,um but well just move past that one,another one is that well you dont have,a lot of deposit options to deposit,funds into your account,um you cant deposit it from an atm nor,do you have the ability to,you know take like a mobile deposit,where you can take a picture,of a check and be able to actually,deposit that,those funds immediately into your bank,account or at least a portion of those,funds,secondly they dont offer zell as well,now a lot of the major banks do offer,zell um as a free way that you can,transfer funds almost immediately up to,a thousand dollars a day,um completely for free this does not,have that,um so that is something that you do want,to take into account if you do use zell,you do not have the ability um to,utilize it with the credit karma,money spend account the next thing is,that well,they dont have any fees including no,overdraft or any,non-sufficient funds fees right and the,reason for that is because they dont,really guarantee that,in your service agreement that you can,actually overdraft your account,they have the ability to reject that,payment that is trying to come through,if you dont have the funds to cover it,now i know you should have the money to,cover whatever youre trying to buy but,ill just give you a little scenario so,im in my new apartment and,lets just say that my rent is a,thousand bucks for
