hi does anyone especially a young person,a young man and a fear if you look at,the edges of all allowed today and,hunger strike I think the oldest was 30,most of us were all in our twenties in,fact in our early twenties,how does a person decide that hes going,to go on hunger strike to the death but,hes not going to see his children,anymore as was the case with Bob and,Jill McDonald that hes never going to,have a normal existence let in a decent,ice go to Spain or Portugal on their,holidays or go skiing,I go to crook Parga much a Horner a,football match with that normal,existence was taken away from them and,you have to try and put yourself into,the hitch blocks and to the environment,that we were in and thats why I say it,was a completely different planet from,the one that we live on here today when,you make a decision to go on hunger,strike what are the things that you,weigh up in your mind your family must,feature uppermost absolutely the family,family is the foremost thing in your,made well two things first of all if you,go on hunger strike it probably going to,end up dead,thats the first thing and you know what,whatever a fact that has on yourself you,know in terms of of your own sanity for,one of a better word but youre right,about the family that that is uppermost,in your mind when youre making the,decision about going on hunger strike,but the difficulty is that we were so,determined and single-minded about what,was required that we had to in effect,sacrifice ourselves for the overall good,of the struggle of our communities on,for the people in Ireland channel that,we felt that whatever heart our family,suffered as,result of hard down on hunger strike,would be it wet by the greater good for,the people of Ireland what about,watching the hunger striker die that,must have been devastating no not its,effectively film it was it was difficult,it was very difficult but as I say you,know III was waitin at some stage to be,called on upon hunger strike myself so,my mind was focused on that and you know,people talk about the most vivid,memories I have about the hunger strike,and people talk about being Bobby Dan,and Bobby being elected and from on and,so thrown stuff like a mummy wears those,arent you know very vivid I remember,them but theyre not very vivid in my,mind because I was so focused at the,time on what I was going to do that I,had the mentally preparing myself for,what was common coming ahead and you,know and and the fact we didnt really,have any tame and the hits blocks for,those of those of us who were going on,hunger strike ourselves we didnt have,time to grieve for our comrades who were,down at the time and at so many and its,its interesting that dolly was so,emotional when he was talking today it,seems to be that the further you get,away from it the more emotional those of,us who were involved get about the whole,issue and you know its a thing I think,when youre sayin yourself are preparing,yourself to go on hunger strike you,havent paid for emotions about anything,else its going on around you you just,totally focused on the job that you have,to do you call on hunger strike you,could be going on hunger strike there,there nothing else matters theres a,bottle here bottle with the Bretts,bottle with a British government the,future of the struggle as at stake,thats what we had to prepare ourselves,for and thats that was the frame of man,that Im ISM when you see Bobby Seans,day does it ever cross your mind that,the protests wouldnt and until 10 men,had died,at the time even in advance of the first,hunger strike we went into that there,with a firm view that this could be very,costly in terms of you know we could,lose people before the British would,move or before we would secure something,that it was at least a send enough,accommodation to allow us to say okay,that the hunger strikers would say yes,thats fair enough,so even at that stage there was a view,that it would be costly but at the,beginning of the second hunger strike,that with the loss of Bobby Sands and,the other hunger strikers nobody could,quantify how many men we were going to,lose I mean it was a tragic period and I,mean it ended in the moderate what you,did which was totally out of control of,the hunger strikers themselves but,nobody for sure that we would lose ten,people certainly it was believed that we,would have we would have losses on that,hunger strike but nobody could quantify,the robbery so money and I remember when,it was my turn to go on hunger strike I,got a call from the leadership of the,army and it was addressed to volunteer,Pat Sheehan and in a way that made me,stuck my chest out because and whatever,else I had always taken great pride and,being a volunteer in Oakland Aherne and,it was very unusual,you know well be given your full title,of volunteer and then I thought about it,and I thought well when else do you see,the title volunteer in front of,someones name and its usually in the,obituary columns or on a headstone and,agree of yard so when I read that calm,and Im just paraphrasing it but what it,said was youre bringing the movement,and the direct confrontation with the,British if you have any qualms about,what youre doing if you dont feel sure,that youre going to be able to follow,it through stab a said no and no one,would think any less of you and even,though I had already taken the decision,to go on hunger strike,I had the swallow hard because herb was,in black and white controlled in front,of me you will if you follow through,with his course of action he will be,dead within a couple of months

How to Play Unbroken
hello and welcome to the how to play,video for unbroken the solo game of,survival and revenge unbroken is a game,for one player lasting 20 to 30 minutes,in unbroken you take on a roll off a,lone survivor of a dungeon expedition,that was ambushed by monsters all your,friends have been killed and wake up,alone lost and stripped of all your,possessions you will traverse the,dungeon in order to find scraps to build,up your strength grab some weapons and,defeat four progressively tougher,monsters on your way out if you succeed,you will reclaim your freedom and defend,your friends so lets dive right in so,lets start with setting up the game,unbroken is quite fast to set up all you,need to do is put out the two double,layer tracker sheets the time tracker,and the resource tracker these will be,used to show how many resources of each,kind you have in your possessions using,these tracking tokens after youve done,that you should place all the tokens at,zero of their corresponding tracks,except for time that well start with on,a seven spot and small effort that will,start at 13 provided you were playing on,Normal difficulty after youve done that,pick a character sheet one of the four,that come with the game and put it right,next to your trapper sheet take one,tracking token and place it on the,character ability use track that appears,on the character sheet this shows how,many times you can use the characters,ability Ill go a little bit in more,detail on that later on the actions,guide goes right under your character,sheets,it shows the several default actions,that you have at your disposal at the,beginning of the game you then take the,bare hands,weapon from the weapon sheet deck and,place it on the left of the display this,is going to be your starting weapon,weapons of course allow it to deal,damage to monsters by spending different,amounts of effort after youve laid out,your display shuffle the three deaths,that come with the game the inn,water currents show different kinds of,things that happen to you as you travel,throughout the dungeons the skill cards,show the different kind of extra,abilities that you pick up as you learn,to find the monsters more efficiently,and the different conditions show the,different nasty things that the monsters,can impart on you such as being scared,weakened or crippled after youve done,that youre pretty much ready to go but,before we get into the flow of the game,lets talk a little bit about the,different resources that exist and,broken despite the fact that it looks,very much like a dungeon crawling and a,dungeon crawler unbroken is a resource,management game so knowing what the,resources do and treating them with,careful consideration is really key to,victory so all the resources will appear,on these two trackers and you will mark,the number of every resource you have at,any given time by placing and adjusting,the tracking token on the response the,respective tracker on these two sheets,so time basically shows you how much,time you have during the travel phase of,every level to have encounters and,prepare for combat as time goes on it,will go down to zero if it gets to zero,you will be ambushed the monster armor,and health shows how much of these,parameters the monster still has left so,you will need to break through all the,armor and deplete all of the monsters,health to defeated that the most,important resource in the game is effort,there are three levels of its small,medium and large effort effort basically,shows the general measure of your,vitality life force strength etc,basically your ability to stay alive and,swing your weapon as you need to spend,effort to infect means using the weapon,so the different types of effort small,medium and large are each a distinct and,unique resource however you can always,use a higher grade effort in place of a,lower grade one so if I have zero small,effort,but saying to medium one and I really,need to spend a small effort I can spend,a medium one instead its kind of a,desperate move and definitely not an,efficient use of resources but it just,might save your bacon finally theyre,right the rest of the resources served,the following purpose cunning is used to,trick monsters and learn more about them,metal and wood are used to craft better,weapons because you dont want to go,until the end of the game punching,people and the monsters in the face food,is something you will need to eat every,level unless you want to lose effort to,starvation and treasure the original,purpose of your expedition is something,that you will find few uses for within,the game but its if you win the game,its the resource that gives you the,most points at the end outside of these,uses the encounter cards will often,provide you an opportunity to trade one,kind of resource for another and thats,really the gist often broken finding,there are opportunities to get the,resources that you want so that you can,proceed throughout the levels and get to,the end of the game if you manage to,defeat level 4 monster and not die of,starvation you will win if at any point,you have to lose effort and cannot you,will die so thats really the gist of,the setup and the resources of unbroken,and now were going to talk a little bit,about the flow of the game so as I,mentioned before unbroken consists of,four levels each level concludes with a,fight with a monster and then you have,to eat a certain amount of food so every,level consists of a travel phase and a,combat phase then the travel phase you,will walk around the the catacombs,having encounters and spending the time,that you have in order to prepare,yourself for the battle and build up,your resources well then the combat,phase you will select one of the,monsters that will you will face and,then you will have to use your weapon or,actually other ways to hurt it to battle,it and hopefully come out on top lets,start with the travel phase travel phase,consists of three steps the first step,always is the preparation step during,this step you can take as many actions,as you want before proceeding actions,basically allow you most of the time to,exchange one type of resource for,another you start with a certain amount,of default actions listed on your,actions guide these are a surefire way,to get some additional resources from,the basic one that you have but they,offer an inefficient exchange rate other,sources of actions can be your character,sheet for example my sages ability of,tall knowledge allows me to get a,cunning for just two small efforts as,opposed to four small efforts that I,would use from the general actions guide,the limitation there is that I can only,use abilities on the character sheet a,certain number of times that number is,denoted by the number of tokens I have,on the character ability track so every,time I use an ability I will remove one,token and if I dont have any more left,of course I cant use these anymore,these gets replenished at the beginning,of every level and you will have as many,of them equal to the number of the,current level so on the first level I,will have exactly 1 abilities so after,you take all the actions that you want,to take you will move into decision step,decision step is when you decide are you,now ready to face the monster or do you,want to spend some more time to have,some encounters and better prepare,yourself at the very first go around,that the decision step of course you,will want to have more encounters,because you still have whole 7 times,however its an important point,especially as your time will get closer,to zero because if the time does get to,zero the monster will ambush,and in fact the fight will happen in on,terms unfavorable to you so lets say,after youve made the decision to have,some encounters you proceed to the,exploration step this really is the meat,of the game because during the,exploration step you will take a certain,number of currents from the encounter,that look at them and decide what youre,going to do the default num

that,have,overcome adversity and we share their,stories really to help other people heal,because i,really believe in the power that comes,when we share our stories,today my guest has really had a,catalogue of adversities that shes been,through,she is amy cory let me tell you a little,bit about her before we begin,she is just 23 years old and she has,started a creative,empire from just being honest with her,life her mental health,overcoming her past struggles with being,adopted,bullying depression suicide self-harm,eating disorders and so much more her,name,and message have gained recognition in,multiple,industries by public figures and big,names such as dolly parson,gary v and she passionately infuses this,honesty,in her music speaking writing brand,ambassadorship and other entrepreneurial,projects,welcome to the show amy how are you im,good thank you so much for having me,youre welcome so because my show is,called,unbroken healing through storytelling i,always ask everybody,the same question which is what does the,word,unbroken mean to you its,its such a beautiful word to me,i think knowing what it feels like to be,broken,it gives in the sort of empowerment of,like,okay theres different aspects that i,feel like,are always fragile and breakable but you,cant truly become,unbroken you cant truly fall apart,and when you go through those things you,can really be like,okay i was unbroken i dont think its,next to,necessarily i am unbroken as i was,unbroken,and i will be unbroken and i just i,think its a beautiful word,thats a lovely definition thank you so,life began for you,in vietnam didnt it where you were born,and adopted,yeah yeah um i dont remember it much i,was six months old,okay but my parents my adoptive parents,recorded the whole thing so its on,video,but um yeah and adopted within,vietnam or within yeah i was adopted,from danang vietnam to america okay,and i grew up in a tiny tiny town in,america,in oregon which is on the west coast and,i grew up there and then i moved to,nashville tennessee to start my career,in 2000 2015 when i graduated high,school,yes if youre going to be a singer and a,country western singer i guess nashville,is the place to be but we will get back,onto that,so you do list a huge catalogue of,things that youve been through,do they stem from a particular trauma or,what happened that you experienced so,many different things,its really interesting from with my,stories because,i have done many years of processing it,and it honestly happened because,there was too much happening okay so i,was about eight,when it all started and my parents were,getting a divorce,i was being bullied in school my mom was,diagnosed with cancer,and it was a very unsafe environment,everywhere school home and,obviously i couldnt drive or really you,know escape and i think,it got to a point where there was so,much going on,it was just the glass was already,overflowing to where it was just a,matter of time before it just like,burst i get yeah i guess its such a,little age such a young age,just to have one of those to have a,divorce to have a mum having cancer to,be bullied at school,individually there would be a lot for an,eight-year-old to go through really,wouldnt they but collectively,it its a lot to deal with yeah so i,think,i it put us myself in a self-isolation,mode,of everyone and i think the bullying is,what pushed me because it was my kind of,last resort,on interactions and because they were so,negative,i think that pushed me to the bullying,which pushed me to the suicide,which then pushed me to the self-harm,and eating disorder,but the interesting thing about the,self-harm and the eating disorder is,that,things got better without after i left,middle school,and that all of that kind of stopped,everything got better but those became,the addiction and the habit,which i think a lot of people forget,about self-harm is that it becomes,a coping mechanism just like drugs and,alcohol so i necessarily wasnt,depressed or,sad or anything it was just my way of,coping and thats what,continued the struggle for so long is i,was addicted and i couldnt stop i,didnt know how to stop and i wasnt,choosing to stop,so once that kind of all happened,you know everything was still shaky,within my family and then,i finally um realized because there was,no one going through this at the time i,was,and i had to become my own heroes my,hero was myself in 10 years,and i saw who she was and music was a,big part of that,wanting to be someone wanting to help,people and knowing that,im gonna have to get better to do this,and i found that within myself,and i finally chose to start the,recovery process,and then was finally pushed to really,stay,in recovery um when my mom was um,had six months to live and so we kind of,made sure that you know,i was the best for myself and also the,best for her for this,expand this amount of time and that was,my test,of recovery is when she passed away to,see you know how strong i really was and,thats i think when i felt the most like,broken but unbroken because it was an,awful tragedy,but the light is i stayed 100,within the healthy coping mechanisms,and you know then moving to nashville,tennessee to start my career,and so its a very kind of um dark and,light,which is what i really try to push out,is that i know darkness from the back of,my hand but i also have seen so much,light from it,yeah its a yin and yang really isnt it,yeah yeah,so what kind of age are we talking about,you said that you fell,into the pattern of self-harming and,suicide attempts was this at,as young as eight years old it was,around it was mostly around eleven,um eight to nine at ten was very much,kind of the bullying the eating disorder,and the very like,deep dark depression um and then 11,is when that the self-harm started and,that lasted until,it was 14,15 15 15. um i remember 15 or 16.,gosh i always forget my age,but um it lasted a long time which is,what im very,you know open about is the fact that you,know,i know from anyone how long it can take,to get better because you do have to,choose,to work on it and you are very open if,you go to your instagram,feed you will see that youll wear a,photo youll show photos of you wearing,short sleeves and showing off the scars,on your arm and not being ashamed of,your scars no,i think i honestly i think theyre,beautiful i think they really show you,you know everything youve been through,and the fact that you may have want,lost that battle but you won the overall,war,and i know how much it has,helped people to see them um especially,in my music career,you know i lost a lot of opportunities,because of them,but i gained a lot of opportunities as,well because i was,very honest about them and i think i,always say you know people really judge,them it has,a lot more to say about them it does but,youre saying there that you lost some,opportunities because of them can you,explain what you mean by that i think,i think i obviously was one of the only,asian,people coming into country music,industry that was,very widely open about mental health and,when it comes to music at the beginning,you know theres certain games you have,to play theres certain,rules you have to follow um and,i you know very much never wanted to be,anyone but myself,i didnt want to cover up my scars i,didnt want to have to get,surgery to do all of that and i knew a,lot of times i wasnt,you know chosen for shows or stuff like,that it definitely was a factor,but youre saying that youre just,youre just being you youre just being,who you,are and youre not fitting into that,ideal model of,whoever a country western singer is is,meant to be white and blonde i suppose,yeah yeah thats its its i truly,think the most powerful you can ever be,is when youre,yourself because everyone else is taken,so it

and of,course america and other world but this,one were covering because a lot has,happened and a lot of you have been,asking me to kind of talk about and or,at least can talk about it more and,since its america month i thought why,not a better opportunity than to kind of,see exactly what has happened so far,well,were waiting,well a lot actually considering that now,the united states and of course the,united nations are bringing the pain,after of course giving the,uh after you know giving marley in the,new world order basically this worlds,version of a up you in a,tyrannical version,even though that kind of is,youre not even gonna comment on that is,basically,stubborn as all hell,they decided that why not go ahead and,show them how stubborn they are and what,better way to do it than outsmart them,tactically and militarily,and they do when the forces of this nwo,actually,come on of course uh paradise island,theyre tricked in the most wonderful of,ways kind of like yo josenki with,operation lockpick or you know revolving,door whichever operation you want to go,with,where they literally walk into a goddamn,trap that trap being lead your forces,inland and then have them absolutely,surrounded and decimated the prussians,of course having their pride absolutely,destroyed by the german counterparts,and thats kind of the thing of it is,that tactically speaking,they are relying on old tactics that,have basically they thought would be,tried and true,trench warfare,a lot of other things that honestly,nowadays dont really work,but do if you want to go with the,ukraine conflict but,were not getting into that,no ladies and gentlemen this conflict is,one-sided but at the same time has,multiple layers while the paradise,invasion was an absolute failure,of the highest degree,the operations inland,are much worse in this worlds version,of japan the japanese operators of,course led by itami are found by the uh,kempeitai,but,well,sad to say are kind of fluted,and the japanese maritime the japanese,military of course show up and begin,their operations to essentially liberate,japan or at least in my opinion liberate,japan from a military dictatorship that,is sadly,yeah if you know history you know,history moving on what about the russia,though what about everything else thats,been set up well the portal from our,world has been opened,and from there the russians are going to,liberate their alternate homeland,and whether or not we see of course,another version of lennon stalin and of,course trotsky uh in this is completely,up totally up to the author but if he,does do this do it in a way that,actually,sways them away from communism,if that does actually work jesus christ,um,the other thing of course,is that they do, russian forces and tanks are,rolling through the villages liberating,them one by one telling them that the,true russian real leaders and of course,glory glorious comrades the glory,greatest caudary are here to liberate,them from the,tyranny and only of course the new world,order but also the puppet of,desire and basically are going in to,liberate the,russian empire and kind of do what they,do um whether or not we see some,parallels to the ukrainian conflict its,completely up to the author but knowing,the author personally i dont think hes,going to make those parallels,but again its kind of up to him,marley of course has been infiltrated by,now of course the ci goddamn a because,of course the cia,but also the operator herself kind of,literally doing some cool stuff i mean,the weapon she goes with is literally a,sbr with a well chambered in 300,blackout im not gonna be wrong i love,300 blackout i know its purpose i get it,its a very good cartridge and does give,very good superior penetration,but i dont know im kind of uh,torn on that i mean i would have loved,to have seen her going with maybe,mp7 a p90 any other pw style platform,but again,i get it,i really do but thats just a personal,thing for me you know shes,now,marley has fallen essentially thanks to,of course the combined efforts of the,101st airborne or basically the airborne,not the iron first although id have to,look back again im im sorry im like,to the game folks im just a little bit,up,but they do actually come in,and literally liberate,the will not really liberate begin the,liberation of marley and begin of course,you know kind of doing things going,around now the big thing that the author,himself has actually expressed is how to,do the children the warriors of marley,gabby especially considering in the,manga gabby is kind of a fanatic or at,least the kind of stereotype,indoctrinated sob,who,is sort of like a hitler youth,you know brainwashed into believing the,whole ideology,how one can do that im going to give my,suggestion here,you can have a dedoctination process,because there is actual documentation of,how people have been dedoctrinated and i,mean dedoctrinate i mean undoing the,doctrination of cults and stuff where,they basically have understood that they,were brainwashed and are trying to fix,themselves gabby could be a good example,of this and could actually the author,could actually explore
