oh my god,oh,hi everyone knee anthony food tano here,the internets busiest music nerd and,its time for a review of this new harry,styles album harrys house this is the,third full-length lp of uk pop singer,and songwriter mr harry styles in,certain circles harry is a man that,really needs no introduction putting out,two very successful pop records and,being one fifth of one of the most,successful boy bands of all time will do,that and with each new release so far it,feels like more and more of harrys old,self artistically is being left in the,past especially since the man is pushing,30 at this point and delivering to us,his most vibrant and mature release yet,now this lp was clearly going to be a,different experience from the jump just,think of the gigantic and dramatic,display of emotion that was a sign of,the times when that single dropped or,the playfully suggestive watermelon,sugar conversely this record was,introduced to us through the very gentle,atmospheric indie rock cut as it was i,dont know when harry got really into,the strokes as well as a vampire,weekends father of the bride but he,really got into them id say this track,also has a stereotypical amount of,reverb on it for this genre with a light,dose of new wave nostalgia as well think,the song take on me but pull out,anything from it thats actually really,bold or truly essential in order to make,the end product as inoffensive and as uh,just a background pop as possible in my,opinion this track may be harrys most,forgettable lead single so far but of,course since it is a harry styles cut,and is endlessly play listable it blew,the hell up so all i could really hope,for going into this album is that uh,musically and artistically harry ends up,delivering to us some bolder moves than,what hes got on this track and im,gonna be honest here the entrance to,this record music for a sushi restaurant,is pretty great the whole thing sounds,like a groovy and elaborate,collaboration between vampire weekend,and tune yards with mark ronson on,production especially with all those,vintage horn sections and yeah this,track may genuinely be my favorite harry,style song ever i love its bold bursts,of instrumentation its sly grooves and,the way harry plays on this track with,eccentric vocal harmonies and very,low-key flirty verses as well as,scatting the man is scatting not only is,the song really catchy and well produced,but it is a super healthy expression of,pop nostalgia and some of the tracks to,follow from here are pretty solid too,late night talking for example is a very,polite and poised fusion of disco and,synth pop and the instrumentation on,this track is so decadent so lush that,the super basic chord progression its,all based on barely even becomes a,factor grape juice is a shimmering soft,rock cut that has a kind of curious,intro with some noisy guitar and,progressive effects shout out to kid,harpoon as well as tyler johnson for,packing so many fun little sonic details,into this thing cause without a doubt,this is harrys most creatively produced,project yet on this track specifically,im loving the harmonized bass segways,and little hits of vocals that bring us,from one section to the next the one,major issue though that i have with this,track and many others on this lp,is that uh harrys vocals are,incessantly dolled up especially as hes,crooning on this particular chorus it,kind of seems like over and over and,over again were getting like these,really tight either overdubs or chorus,effects that give harry singing this,unnaturally weird buzzing quality to it,i get that it makes it pop a little bit,more in the mix but there is kind of an,artificial end result to it that kind of,sucks the humanity out of his,performance a little bit this proves to,be a persistent problem at least for me,even on some of the more stripped back,tracks here so its at this point on the,album transitioning into as it was and,hearing the kind of lo-fi crushing walls,of guitar and drums on the song daylight,that something is dawning on me about,this record that this thing is,essentially like 2022s version,of patrick bateman pop yes i mean the,main character of brett east and elliss,american psycho which i know like in the,music community is like kind of meme to,death because you know you have bateman,there with the album uh ready to listen,to on the stereo whatever you know hip,uh indie project it is thats hype at,the moment or uh some kind of extreme,music release that he would never listen,to in a million years and i dont mean,to meme this here im like genuinely,making a comparison a point of,comparison here because if we think of,bateman and we think of his love of huey,lewis in the news harry is striking a,similar balance between making a pop,record that is,kind of accessible but then also kind of,artsy,very middle brow its sweet enough to,where the kids will jam it but then its,also not so bubblegum,that the yuppies will hit skip making it,again the perfect album for bateman to,put on as he is readying the axe and,telling you that as it was is a song of,change and metamorphosis accepting,change not just societally but within,yourself letting go of that older self,in favor of a new perspective maybe even,a new way of being,that being said um by the halfway point,of this album my time at harrys house,was beginning to wear thin the hors,doeuvres are unimpressive the decor,generally lacks inspiration and variety,by the time we hit the song little freak,yes okay i get it you think ezra kanig,is one of the best songwriters of our,generation that is apparent that you,feel that way i feel similarly you even,have his little soft boy vocal delivery,down and are tossing in uh similarly,quirky privileged narrative details into,the lyrics i hear it i hear it you cant,throw me off with these sleepy little,guitar and synth passages its there the,tracklist beyond this point continues to,deliver some slow burns with the song,matilda which is a really cute acoustic,ballad that gives harry and his guitar,some room to breathe sonically and,narratively this track is kind of,another tale of change and metamorphosis,we have a girl whos kind of moving on,and living her own life because shes,reached a point realizing that those who,raised her and were around her didnt,really care and werent really,supportive in the first place i love the,piano transition of the track on the,back end too its beautiful its,gorgeous really adds up to a powerful,ending whats even more interesting is i,guess this is all kind of based on a,personal story or connection that harry,has but he kind of masks that a little,bit in some parallels to,uh the book matilda from roald dahl,which i thought was a neat little fun,fact on the song cinema we have more,slick and sensual 70s grooves this time,with some spacier atmosphere sexier,lyrics and a bump in baseline the main,issue though is that the lyrics uh here,start to take a nosedive i just think,youre cool i dig your cinema do you,think im cool too,at this point i could feel myself,turning around to look at bateman behind,me and just say end it all please things,pick up on the song daydreaming with a,very even funk soul disco fusion its,not surprising either that the great,quincy jones has a writers credit on,this cut and the track is quite,repetitive in some ways instrumentally,and lyrically it does kind of feel like,something out of a dream state the sort,of distant and thin background vocals,cycling away as if theyre a memory of,some sort adds to that quality too plus,harrys really putting it down vocally,on the end of this song the very short,keep driving in my opinion is maybe the,most inconsequential song on the entire,lp the persistent and playful drums and,synth passages here uh feel like a,holdover from some kind of 80s,soundtrack but the transitions from,section to section in the track as well,as the intro and outro are all pretty,unceremonious i feel like there is,something here to this song it just,wasnt reall

[Music],hey neighbor welcome back to ar tv my,name is john and its time to review the,third solo lp by harry styles the former,one direction member has already had a,pretty prolific solo career the most,successful out of his band mates and i,really think thats in part due to his,creative spark and the fact that he has,ingenuity beyond what a lot of the pop,market is offering his new record is,titled harrys house kind of an homage,to joni mitchell in a way the name of a,song from a 1970s lp and now fast,forwarded into something thats much,more internal introspective and more,intimate for this side of harry kicking,into the cycle for harrys house felt,seamless because just as love on tour,was continuing with the fine line cycle,it evolved over to harrys house and i,really enjoyed the lead single as it was,its a song with a lot of pop appeal to,it a lot of synthesizers it definitely,has some 80s leaning sensibilities but,smart songwriting and really sharp,production really makes it stand out the,worldwide domination continued as harry,made his way over to the states to,headline coachella where he debuted the,new songs boyfriends and late night,talking i wasnt instantly sold but i,did hear things that i liked in both so,i anxiously anticipated both the studio,versions of those and the entire album,of course now that ive had plenty of,time to let this album sink in i do,think that its grown on me with repeat,lessons but i do feel that its his,weakest effort overall but weak doesnt,mean bad i just have such an immense,respect for what he did on the first two,and this one cant help but feel like a,slight step down a downgrade in the,lyrical department and the fact that,some of the production can be,inconsistent and also the pacing of the,track list the man is in a committed,relationship i think we can safely,assume that and we know that hes dating,director olivia wilde they worked,together on a film thats coming out,this fall dont worry darling i think,their chemistry was definitely sparked,on set but theres obviously a,connection that stiles feels very very,deeply passionate about and those,romantic endeavors are all throughout,the track listing music for a sushi,restaurant opens the record by storming,the gates and parading through the,streets with a very celebratory hook,this is a song that has a lot going on,and there are many things that could,have gone wrong but the more i listen,the more i appreciate it could have,gotten really cluttered really fast with,the fact that theres a brass section,and then all of a sudden here hes kind,of doing a shoot,take it as a signal that this record is,going to feel very seventies and its,intentions and i dont think that this,is something that harry did is just a,passing glance and a flirt with disco or,pop music of the time it blends the,worlds of 70s 80s synth pop and also,modern music unfortunately the charm he,wears so well on cuts like satellite,that really feels spaced out and,nostalgic and also late night talking,where we get some horns to make it all,sound a little bit more triumphant a lot,of the album does stride into more,average territory and i think a lot of,that has to do with love and how,familiar the subject matter can seem,when you feel like youre all consumed,by another person that love thats,pouring out of you might actually be a,reflection of an experience that maybe,youve heard somewhere else and it cant,help but feel a bit done before when,youve got so many songs that are,written about the relationship cinema,stands as one of those tracks where i,have mixed feelings because i like a lot,of the progressions that are happening,within the verses but then i think we,get some kind of clunky writing that,makes the chorus fall flat daylight,takes its time to build out nicely and,it has been growing on me steadily with,my favorite portion of the song coming,at that climax with a big payoff with,drums guitar and harry going a little,bit harder but again with this being a,more intimate album i can see why there,wasnt a ton of that bombast but the,moments that do come cant help but feel,slightly out of place even if i do,really like them the conversation gets,trickier as we arrive at tracks like,keep driving where i see what harry is,attempting to do by pulling out this,idea that so much is going on in the,world but sometimes you just kind of,have to pull back and keep driving to,focus on yourself but the bridge of this,track just comes across a little bit,awkward with the things that he name,checks including something that i,thought he was saying but wasnt,actually apparently saying life hacks,gone viral in the bathroom also i gotta,ask to anyone living in the uk is there,like some sort of side boob fetish over,there because i keep hearing it name,checked first alex turner of the arctic,monkeys now harry styles is saying,sideboob reeling it back into the more,positive side of the spectrum i was,floored by a cut like grape juice that i,think is so strong because of the sense,of melody and the unwavering tempered,percussion on the track the synths the,nice guitar that just feels so watery,gentle and calming its hairy styles at,its absolute best and once again its a,sense of escapism harrys house has an,underlying theme of home being what you,make it wherever you go that can be home,as long as youre surrounded by the,right people or else home not,necessarily being a home just because,its the walls that surround you the,most exemplary place that this is,personified is the track matilda which,is much more emotionally inclined than a,lot of the track list harry offers this,advice to a young person that seems to,be struggling at home with parents or,the family around them and things not,going well he talks about why this isnt,deserved and that they didnt do this on,purpose and that things will get better,and it just feels so natural and so,compassionate that i cant help but love,it and speaking of love before i go i,just wanted to say that the closing,track love of my life i love those,spaced out airy reverb heavy,synthesizers and the track as a whole is,a great way to close out this album,although i think this is harrys weakest,album to date there are a decent amount,of songs that i have already pulled off,and saved and i think will get a lot of,replay from going to give this a,three and a half out of five this is,definitely a more stripped back album in,many facets which makes sense for styles,considering the pandemic and obviously a,lot of time to hello everybody and welcome to another,top five records video the last couple,of days i saw some live footage of the,latest live gig by harry styles and,although the images looked wonderful,the performance this live performance,got me thinking should i cancel my,pre-order of harrys,house so today i was in doubt and then i,got this email from the delivery service,saying yeah the package is already on,your way so i thought you know what im,going to give it a a shot because,my love for the music of harry styles,started with this one his first album,which is a nice pop album and it has,great awesome songs times and im not,quite sure what the song is about but i,really like it then a second album came,out this one,fine lines,nice album nice some nice puppy tunes,but i thought,overall not as strong as the other one,its double vinyl so,not as strong as the other one but but,fine nice pop album is this line,going,downwards or is this one harrys house,different,will he start doing doing something,extraordinary,now i just got this in,um,i put this in its by the way a,beautiful release look,um,beautiful gateful cover with a beautiful,i mean,theres there are always great pictures,of harry styles i mean the photographers,they they they know how to capture him,his his energy,theres a nice booklet in here,with,again,pictures,i thought this would somehow represent,the song boyfriends but um,its a its a gorgeous looking release i,got the,yellow vinyl,and,i just oh yeah thats also very,interesting about this package,it has this hype sticker because it is,it has a yellow vinyl but these two they,are also hype stickers but they are,translucent type stickers which,i never quite understand why you put on,translucent type stickers and they are,put on the foil so not on the cover,itself on the foil so i had to get them,off the foil and put them on this uh,vinyl cover uh to actually have the,title visible and with these translucent,stickers its always dangerous to get,your your dirty fingers on there now,enough talk about the packaging what did,i think of this album,i just gave it a spin,from a,back-to-back,this album,is gorgeous,it is,beautiful,it is,a little bit different from the other,albums,in the sense,that,um his sound is developed,but its not like hes experimenting or,anything like it it is like he is,refining,his own style and boy is he refining his,voice sounds,softer,gentler sweeter actually loads of the,songs sound soft gentle and sweet this,is such a beautiful sweet album and it,never gets too sweet it never gets,corny or anything like that though a,song like his final song love of my life,might tend towards dead it never really,gets scoring nevertheless its dangerous,to put a song title on there which also,references to another song title i mean,the queen some love of my life but,well give him this one,when he saw this album this starts off,with music for a sushi restaurant,you just have the sense that its,not completely out of this planet but it,is new and its so fresh,i mean,this album the the 40 minutes it takes,its a very nice place to be in in in an,audio wise you know its,its music that that,that represents the summer you never had,sounds,sounds strange i know but,it represents,romances,you never had,but it never becomes hallmark quality it,has such an interesting,element of time in there like this is,the summer of 2022 something like that,and some of his best songs around here,seriously um i wasnt too keen to single,as it was when i heard it for the first,time i thought it was okay,on this final which,really sounds,very very nice it came much more alive,its such a nice song,highlights for me were the songs matilda,and boyfriends,matilda and boyfriends are,two of the most,beautiful,sincere ballots and again,it is so,sweet,these songs are so sweet,lovely gentle and light but they have,strong melody,he sings it in the most beautiful,fragile high voice,and yet again it never becomes corny he,found this very nice line this thin line,of,making typical pop music,but making it fresh,new,sincere,gentle and a load of fun,im gonna spin this record,this might become,my album for the summer of 2022,might even be,this could very well be the best album,for me of 2022. i dont know why she had,to come but this is a very very strong,contender for album of the year so,buy it,have loads of fun its a beautiful,record see you in the next video

hello again everybody john here gearing,up for some warm lazy summer months by,strolling out to harrys house the new,album from harry styles ive mostly been,reviewing pop singles on this channel,lately well really ive mostly been,absent off and on with back issues but,there werent really any huge commercial,single releases this week no offense to,arena sawayama as all the big names,apparently elected to duck harry whose,album is now on track to have the,biggest opening by far this year and,ive always been fascinated by the,commercial game so harrys house is the,third studio album from singer harry,styles who got his start in the globe,spanning boy band phenomenon that was,one direction his first solo album a,self-titled release in 2017 showed his,ambition but also that he was struggling,a bit to develop his artistic voice,beyond the group but 2019s fine line,which spawned a few massive hits like,watermelon sugar and adore you saw him,really seem to find his stride doing the,70s classic and soft rock hes always,seemed to idolize and while the massive,rocky hits on the front end of fine line,gave way to an adventurous but fairly,mixed bag of a back half the album,seemed to massively grow his fan base as,hes now planning 5-10 night residency,runs at arenas like madison square,garden and the forum in la not to,mention moving up into stadiums and,spots so coming into harrys house harry,could really do just about whatever he,wants and he led the era off with as it,was which i already did a review of link,below and which became a big number one,hit on both sides of the atlantic and,the track saw harry somewhat,surprisingly swerve into synth pop which,is not a sound i felt he ever showed an,affinity for in either his one direction,or earlier solo days it made me wonder,if maybe harry was a bit stung by,critics saying that fineline didnt,sound aware of anything that had,happened in the last 40 years or so or,whether maybe hed had his fill of 70s,references and wanted to try something,different either way i stand by my,initial assessment that as it was is a,pretty good track by chartpop standards,its very laid back enveloping a bit,wistful and i eventually stopped having,ahas take on me stuck in my head after,every play thankfully on the downside it,was almost a little too smooth with no,real gear changes throughout the track,but arguably that worked with the,subject matter which was largely a vague,description of a relationship thats no,longer what it used to be with a few,fairly inscrutable details thrown in and,after as it was i was interested to see,whether harry would keep going with both,the synth pop palette and the laid back,vibe on his full album and by the way if,you want to keep on top of everything,harrys doing in his new era theres no,better way than sparkmesh.com the,comprehensive artist tracking site i,just finished building just follow harry,you can import your artist from spotify,or youtube in seconds simple go,check it out today link below anyway now,that harrys house is here weve got,some answers no the album is not all,synth pop although there are plenty of,synths across this album absolutely yes,to the uniformly chill vibe for better,and worse as it was which i felt lacked,a bit of momentum is actually one of the,most propulsive tracks on this album but,dont get me wrong overall this album is,really really well produced harrys got,that top dollar major label budget and,its being put to work tons of lush,lively organic instruments really well,played across the board if theres,anything i could criticize on the,production end its the few cases with,more extreme vocal processing i think,the bits of vocoder harry we get on,grape juice may come off a bit goofier,than intended even though the song is a,slightly quirky ode to drinking and the,pit shifted low voice that appears,briefly on satellite really should have,been left on the mid 10 scrap heap but,if theres a defining feature of these,tracks its chill chill chill with rich,laid back lightly funky bass,underpinning the large majority of the,run time the energy is highest by a good,margin in the first third of the album,which is also an excellent showcase of,the wide range of sounds harry brings,together from the exuberant choral vocal,accents and bright horn passages of,opener music for a sushi restaurant to,the urbane synth lions and suave,staccato hook of likely second single,late night talking to the 60s piano pop,and bright intimate guitar grape juice,and then rounding it out weve got the,fairly straight ahead synth pop of as it,was a few tracks do have moments that,come off as a bit of a forced experiment,in mixing instrumental palettes together,in ways that arent entirely,complementary but by and large these,blends work i wouldnt say anything runs,off the rails though i also wouldnt say,most of them were particularly slick or,inspired after the fairly high energy,first third of the album things,gradually cool off from daylight through,the spare ballot matilda which is where,the album actually kind of lost me on a,late night first listen but then things,gradually build back up through the,energized satellite which has a long,rising distorted ending thats about as,close to the rocky energy of fine line,as this album gets before it finishes up,by dropping off into the spare acoustic,boyfriends with its gorgeous fleet,foxes-like backing vocals and the,pensive even borderline plaintiff close,her love of my life while no matter what,order you put these tracks in harrys,house would be a pretty chill affair i,do feel like the lumpy sequencing maybe,holds the album back a bit performance,wise im a bit split on whats happening,here look as i said in my as it was,review harrys got tons of star quality,that mythical extra gear and he sounds,decently engaged here hes certainly not,checked out or phoning things in in any,way he emotes well enough but i cant,help but feel theres a little fire,missing from a lot of these performances,i watched harrys coachella performance,last month in real time and he still,seems to have a ton of love for the,stage he was sprinting up and down full,of energy so im not really sure why i,keep coming away feeling like hes,subtly muted here maybe he performed to,match the chill gentle production,hey vibes are very in right now even,though softer vocals have generally not,been harrys wheelhouse in the past,maybe the excitement of a solo career,creative control finding his sound is,starting to wear just a little thin,maybe as some fans are whispering his,voice is even a bit tired after singing,a ton of gritty rock with unhealthy,technique for years hard to say but at,the end of the day these performances,are fine but just not as best ever and,lyrically well,this might be one of the weakest major,albums this year there are only a few,moments that stick out and really throw,you for a loop like the cocaine sideboob,choker with a sea view line thats been,memed pretty heavily by the internet,already but even as someone predisposed,towards basic chart pop ill tried,everything for a high star quality big,impact and catchy hooks the relationship,lyrics that predominate across the album,tend to be very simple and generic with,a lot of lines heavily repeated witness,the latter halves of cinema and,daydreaming which are back to back each,i think has about three lines covering,nearly two-thirds of the run time its,kind of shocking if you pull up the,lyrics and follow along and it also,still doesnt feel like were really,being let in here by the famously,private harry he tends to just comment,that hes really in love maybe we get a,rough sketch of the other person in a,couple lines or theyre hanging out one,morning at breakfast and thats it,thats an entire song and of course its,fine to keep so

know how to English,but today we are here and were gonna,listen to Harrys house Im so excited,Harrys albums I dont know why tend to,be like that therapy for me that I,didnt know I needed why the [ __ ] you,lying we know I need therapy but he,always seems to drop an album at the,time that I need it so Im really,excited to see what Harrys house has in,store because from what Ive heard or,from what I understand from what he said,about the making of the album the,process and its very different than the,other ones its basically a quarantine,love child so thats a little scary we,dont talk about that time,who huh,dont know her but I do know you,you little [ __ ] always hurting my,feelings,[Laughter],it is a rather short album 13 songs 42,minutes so its a cute little thing and,looking at the set list the only song I,know is as it was I know he performed a,couple of these songs at Coachella but I,did not see his set Ive been trying to,kind of stay away from anything that,could spoil the album for me I really,want to go through it as a whole journey,I want to see what the hell this is all,about honey youve got a big storm,coming,a sushi restaurant or Scotland,bam let me go put my kilt on real quick,[Music],not the pop-ups,oh theres actually Gonna Be lyrics why,did I think this was going to be an,instrumental,I mean its a three minute song that,would have been a long instrumental but,I would have been here for it [ __ ],theres lyrics I actually have to pay,attention Okay,boy if you dont get,foreign,you need to talk to Ticketmaster then,because what is this Dynamic pricing,baloney,everyone who got a ticket to the show,Im so happy for you truly truly you,know,Im uh,Im so incredibly happy for you,truly,[Music],listen I am a sucker for a song with,some horns oh blow me away babe blow me,away this is so funky I would have never,thought hed go in this kind of a,Direction but it kind of makes sense so,how does as it was,fit into this okay what Im getting too,ahead of myself hold on,[Music],you know this would be a really good,opening number I know he had like the,whole One Night in Madison Garden,shenanigan but this is a very like,cinematic song No I almost feel like,that big chorus moment like I can see it,in a movie,[Music],were done,and then that goes into late night,talking,okay,[Music],me trying to wrap my head around what is,happening in this album okay you know,whats crazy though I mean its the,first song should I say this yeah Im,gonna say it the great thing about each,album is that it has a very distinctive,sound you listen to the first album so,moody gloomy dare I say depressing I,think its a fine line and its like a,bit more of a hopeful summery kind of,vibe kind of feel then you get to this,and its like very funky this one felt,like I had a little bit of like a jazz,influence which is really cool to see,him kind of pull from different genres,maybe different Inspirations again I,really dont know because I havent seen,a lot of information about this album,because Ive been trying to be as,spoiler-free as possible and it has been,very hard but late night talking okay I,love late night talking its 2 A.M and,youre spilling out you know your entire,life story to someone,kind of a Vibe kind of a moment okay,lets go babe,[Music],oh this melody this melody lets take a,second,take a second,okay God damn that lemon,oh right in the soul oh,[Music],I wish there was more harmonies right,here oh my God this is one of those,songs am I a producer but Ive listened,to enough music where Im like you know,what this I feel like,this album is going to be a grower for,me just because it is in a different,soundscape than Im used to what I,usually gravitate towards but Harry is,such a phenomenal writer the production,on the albums are always interesting,gives you a little something that youre,not hearing from different people at the,moment which is what I really adore,about this kid and I know maybe Im a,little biased because Ive been a fan of,him since I was like,14.,Ive been in love with this man for like,10 years what do you mean,and why is it called grape juice girl,grape juice is disgusting grape anything,is disgusting lets just put that out,there now like I know we have a pattern,with the fruits you know we have Miss,kiwi Miss watermelon sugar high but,grape,we could have done definitely listening for though,within this album I feel like with fine,line you could immediately tell which,songs were gonna be singles but they,still really fit within the album,honestly fine line is just that album I,dont know what else to say like every,song is a hit so thats definitely like,a hard thing for him to follow up on,with this album but I dont think this,album was made with that kind of,intention but I do want to see if as it,was is like the obvious standout the,different one to be like okay heres a,single go listen to the album it sounds,nothing like this you know what I mean,well have to see but as it was lets,Bop for a second we definitely need to,talk about that Miss bread,you know its not the same as it was,anyway I just went on that big Spiel,that big Rampage of like maybe this,doesnt fit in the album it does it does,shes just a really big standout like,shes gonna grab your attention,and thats not her fault,that bridge really just I dont know I,feel like set hello everyone my name is bradley i have,a bad taste of music i listen to harry,styles fine line theres a video out on,it harrys house its out now all right,first song music for a sushi restaurant,so if you were hoping that this is going,to be a more ambitious project,he immediately off the bat says nope,its going to be a soundtrack for the,grocery store with the song called music,for a sushi restaurant alright lets go,okay,sounds pretty nice so far,i can cook an egg on you huh how,romantic damn,so hot you can fry an egg yeah i know,thats what hes saying its still,a stupid lyric,baselines really funky productions,really nice honestly this is an okay,intro uh despite some of the lyrics,being a little cheesy,[Music],play the ant farm theme song its so,similar,i think theyre different enough,honestly nah i i mean i i guess kinda,[Music],i dont know i i think thats,meh,you got it you got it,[Music],got 20 seconds left,okay,swans is that you you know what i,actually dont hate this uh so people in,my chat right now im live are are,really rooting against this album really,wanting this [ __ ] to fail and i do think,that music for a sushi restaurant is,kind of a cheesy track but that being,said i think the instrumental is really,solid i like the horns i think the whole,thing sounds very large and very sweet,um yeah i dont mind this i i do think,that it could be a little bit better but i i,actually think this is perfectly fine,offensive i think that the song is a,little bit boring at points but i also,think it kind of bumps like in this,course,it gets you moving you know its decent groove nice,instrumental this is just so much of,like it its just riding a vibe so hard,theres theres barely anything here,dude,holy sh this is mixed like [ __ ] man,what,i was like yo wait for it you gotta wait,for this part and then it comes in and,oh my god this mix is ass,thats one of the most gutless drops of,all time dude,[Music],thats funny thats a good one harry,styles whens the actual uh full mix,coming out,why is it bad though if you listen hey,look okay,someone gave me a good example of like a,good dynamic instrumental like explosion,like a crescendo right where something,just kind of all comes in and builds up,because everything here is compressed,and flatlined like whats a good song,whats a good example here basketball,shoes by black country new road is what,was suggested ill just kind of skim,through it,[Music],for example the horns theyre very clear,the drums are very crisp they come in,boom it sounds really like a like a,bashing here you know it just it really,slaps the the whole point of me sharing,that is of course these are two,completely different songs but i just,wanted to show you an example of like,what a good like sounding dynamic drop,can be like it doesnt need to be an,extreme example but it just shows that,like this doesnt sound very clear,[Music],yes stop next,right headphones dogs next,littlefreak,[Music],thats the thing though is like the the,horrible pop mix the compression i dont,know if i just didnt hear it earlier in,the album but all of a sudden this [ __ ],coming out like like like its got,something to prove you know its its,really just showing up like like with,this super ambitious sound mixed with,just boring ass production makes this,whole thing just sound so cheesy and,pointless like im listening to a a,shitty watered down uh phoebe bridgers,song,[Music],dude you are forced to pay attention to,the lyrics here and they are just they,are just boring as a [ __ ] dude,oh my god,hey maybe itll grow who knows all i,know is on this first lesson uh this,instrumental sucks and the song is,boring as [ __ ],little freak is,boring red headphones,uh what what can i say about little,freak uh for the last six songs this,album if you completely zone it out and,play super smash brothers uh while,listening it turns out that you can,basically zone out and not pay attention,to the music for the entire time i dont,know if thats a positive or not exactly,next matilda checks,[Music],its no big,not deal your family cause they never,showed your love,i make your tea and your toast,[Music],matilda is a great piece of piano pop,give it a smiley ball,first track on this that i feel like is,uh is kind of fully collected me uh one,of the most heartfelt i feel like even,though it is slow it feels uh rewarding,for the patients you put into it,and overall works as a complete track so,yeah this ones actually,this ones a winner for me really good,all right hey nice,all right next song cinema,okay i like the groovy note after,something kind of,down tempo like matilda,[Music],its just corny,theres no way in helly means what i,think it means right thats a sex song,that makes this [ __ ] instantly horrible,my god it all of a sudden turns this,funky track into uh,a sex song i mean oi,[Music],its getting called,i feel like the cinema cinema metaphor,here doesnt really work all that well,just feels,lame,i like this chorus minus the part where,hes talking about cinema i dig your,cinema its the stupidest [ __ ] ive ever,heard that is uh that is not sexy that,is not attractive it just sounds have,little missy with us here again today so,its a little bit of a deviation from,what i normally do but i do have harry,styles new album,on,vinyl harrys house,so im gonna unbox it and then listen to,it and let you know what i think now i,have to be honest i dont really know,much about harry styles,but there was one song that was going,round around on tick tock that,infiltrated my brain that i cant stop,singing,you know its not the same as it was so,when i saw this,on vinyl,and it was yellow my favorite color i,was like you know what im gonna give,harry styles a go,lets listen to his music and see what,its like because you know i do like his,fashion sense hes giving me a bit of,freddy hes giving me a bit of bowie,hes given me a bit of elton you know,i like the fashion but is the music any,good,so lets unbox it and find out okay here,we go,and here is harry styles harrys house,just looking at the,cover artwork,quite cool quite funky,liking it,the bright yellow on the back loving it,so we have side a music for a sushi,restaurant late night talking grape,juice,that just instantly made me think of,grapefruit you know yoko as it was,the tune that i have been bopping to all,this kind of sticker,okay cool we have a new name tag,harrys house,what why am i so perplexed,can you see,here we go and were in,i love it when its gatefold,lets show you the artwork inside you,know i dont know much about harry so if,you are a harry fan then you know,this is me discovering harry so,lets discover,no i no actually come on what do i know,about harry styles he was in one,direction that was the songs,sorry i just finished listening to it so,i just listened to the last song and,emotional damage so side one started,with music for a sushi restaurant,um i liked it it was a nice funky start,to the album i like the base on it um,not much more else to say on that one,it was good,not my favorite,but it was still good and the next song,was late night talking and this is where,i really actually listened to harrys,voice and,i actually really liked his voice it,sounded great the song itself was,uplifting i like the part where it was,like if youre feeling down i just want,to make you happy baby,it was a good song i could feel myself,dancing to it you know it flowed great,from the first song it was just good,vibes i liked it then we went on to,grape juice and you know it was smooth,the chorus was smooth i like the tone of,his voice its like very easy to listen,to,and,again it was a good song so far all of,the three songs just kind of flowed,nicely into each other and then we hit,as it was,which of course,is my favorite from side one its such a,bop,when you hear that,you just want to jump up and start,dancing and you know it gives me a bit,of,take on me vibes,is it just me,but yeah,i love that song who doesnt love that,song,like its just such a good song but more,than that if you actually listen to the,lyrics and what the songs about its,like deeper than just you know a cool,funky song okay the next one was,daylight and i like the you know the,chorus if i was a blue bird i would fly,to you,um,his voice it was really,reminding me of someone else like the,song,i dont know its given me a bit like,justin bieber vibes like i could imagine,him singing this,dont come for me,its just the feeling i got and then we,hit little freak which was much more,mellow we came down a little notch like,gently came down um i really liked the,lyrics i felt myself a bit like,oh over this one um you know i was,reminiscing about,some kind of relationship past,relationship gone,um it was like more emotion in this one,and it really made you think about,people in your life people that have,come and gone in your life,um i like the guitar on it but you know,the line when he was like you never saw,my birthmark,i could have like died from a million,sadnesses,like the way he just said that line and,i mean the line is you never saw my,birthmark but,a bit obscure,but the way he said it i was like,harry youre killing me here what is,happening i love that one i really did,like a little freak that was good,and then we hit matilda,i have not recovered from my tilde hat,so it starts off with like this kind of,finger picking,um and then it hits you in the feels,this song hits you in the feels it,sounds like he sung and wrote this,straight from the heart did he write it,who wrote this,uh who wrote it i dont know did he,write this does he write can someone let,me know like is he writing the links,whoever wrote the lyrics if it wasnt,him,it was like,the lyrics cut deep i felt like this,song would be relatable to so many,people i dont know what,if its related to anything in his life,like i dont know his backstory but it,felt like it was it felt like it was,very personal and um yeah,it hit me in the fields that one so what,a way to end side one so now im gonna,go listen to side two and let you know,what i think to that oh here we go,listen to the crackle,i cinnamon,then i realized uh, it says cinema you got that cinema,i like the line i dig your cinema you,know it was a cool song it had a funky,vibe to it as well um,you know this album its kind of like,giving me like eighties vibes,i dont know im just getting that a is,kind of feeling which is cool i like it,which was then followed into the next,song which was daydreaming which again,had like this eight is pop like a vibe,it had this like funkiness to it um i,love the backing vocals on this one an
