[Music],[Music],welcome back everybody today were going,over this pistol right here its the,Glock 40 know in all seriousness this is,a high point c9 pistol so this is their,compact 9-millimeter probably the most,popular pistol that highpoint puts out,at least that I see anyway in gun shops,out there so I know a lot of people on,this channel are gonna laugh and sneer,and jeer at this pistol because it is so,inexpensively made and has some sort of,unique features to it that youre not,going to find on higher-end pistols but,I wanted to give it a serious look and,the reason I want to do that is because,you know at this point in my life,Ive worked hard and and and sacrificed,to get to where I can afford some pretty,nice guns but at one point in my life,that wasnt the case you know I remember,having to save up a lot of money for me,at the time to buy a used Remington 870,police which back then I think was,probably like a hundred and fifty bucks,which for me was a lot and that was the,only firearm I had for a couple years,because thats all I could afford so you,know I remember what its like to be,like that and I think a lot of people,are in that situation financially but,still want to defend themselves and High,Point pistols or something that I think,a lot of them are looking at so were,gonna give it a fair shake today here,and basically were going to go over the,features of it the reliability the,accuracy all that types of stuff well,though the dogs take a look at it like,we always do and then well get into the,details coming up next,[Applause],[Music],[Applause],[Music],getting into the details of the gun,well start at the bottom and work our,way up our magazine that it comes with,is an 8 rounder its the same magazine,that they use for the 380 on the 9,millimeter version here so you have a,total capacity as it comes from the,factory of 8 plus 1 so 9 rounds with 1,in the chamber they do also have these,factory 10 round mags as you guys can,see here the folks over at gun mag,warehouse sent these out to us fuel them,to help us get some more rounds through,the pistol so I certainly appreciate,that well put a link down below for,them but the a round mag hes gonna be,one of the things were going to talk,about several times probably in this,video but one big one is that we had a,number of nosedived malfunction do you,guys can see it right there it just,happened so I pulled one round out and,you guys could see sort of how the round,following it and nosedive instead of,what it should do is bill like that so,that way its at the proper angle to,feed into the chamber so this gun have a,few malfunctions outside of that but the,overwhelming majority of malfunctions we,had were no stud malfunctions just like,that and kind of download and see if it,happens a few times I guess not but it,happened in any magazine we have and I,have two eight rounders and three 10,rounders and it just happened repeatedly,it seemed to happen more on the first,couple rounds and once it kind of got,through a few rounds it wouldnt happen,again,yeah you can kind of see how it would,happen theyre just even watching this,here so the magazines seem to be the,issue in terms of reliability more often,than anything else with the gun but it,is what it is so well move along with,that the grips themselves have a little,bit of a pebble texture on there but,its not aggressive at all so some folks,might like that cuz if youre carrying,it inside the waistband,its not gonna be abrasive to your skin,the downside is its not going to have a,good grip there and guns kind of move,around on you if you have sweaty hands,or your hands are bloody or anything,like that we do have some serrations,though on the back strap of the pistol,as well as here on the front strap and,it has sort of a almost like a finger,groove cut,there its Miami 5 I dont have a,problem with it one thing I do like,theyre on the magazine is that has that,little extension which most people will,probably find a little bit more,comfortable and if it didnt have it now,one thing to keep in mind is that the,magazine at least there is not,ambidextrous and it does not always drop,three most of the time I would say the,mag stop free but every now and then it,wouldnt so take that for what its,worth we also have a safety here on the,left side of the pistol when its in the,up position like that it is on safe and,you guys can see here even with the,magazine inserted because the pistol,those have a magazine disconnect it will,not fire without the magazine and a,trigger will not move now this point,were gonna put it on fire,verify were clear pull the trigger and,you will see it will fire so cycle the,action here and lets talk about the,trigger so the way the trigger is,designed on this pistol it almost makes,you learn bad shooting habits and what I,mean by is its kind of hinged you guys,can see that little pin there on top of,it and if you rather when you pull the,trigger you kinda have to push down and,back so it makes you almost flinch to,shoot the gun in terms of break its not,terrible its actually relatively crisp,but like I said that single you have to,put it at is just hard so will cycle it,one more time well get it on the,trigger pulse scale here and see what,exactly it pulls it if I can get it,through there there you go its always,easier to do if youre not doing an on,camera you guys can see there on my,scale its breaking right between seven,and eight pounds its not a terrible,trigger in terms of the poundage or,break but again that angle it forces you,to pull out again it almost makes you,want to or have to flinch just to be,able to pull in this trigger the slide,on this pistol is much larger than other,semi-automatic 9-millimeter pistols that,youre gonna see out there on the market,and thats because this pistol is a,straight blowback design meaning that,the barrel itself is fixed to the frame,and what actually absorbs,the energy around aspire is the mass of,the slide reciprocating so this Bissell,is relatively heavy it comes in at,twenty nine point six ounces on my scale,so compared to other you know Palmer,frame nine mo meters out there its its,pretty heavy and again thats all due to,this slide the slide itself is made out,of a zinc and aluminum alloy thats,proprietary to the high point so its,not steel it does have a powder coat,finish that you see here they also offer,it in some camouflage patterns as well,as a hundred-dollar bill pattern that I,have as well just for kicks the sights,here are gonna be three dot sights so,you have your elbow up front two red,dots in the rear it also comes with a,peep sight Im not sure really whos,taking advantage of that but I did take,advantage of this windage adjustable,rear out of the factory mine was,shooting about five or six inches to the,right at about fifteen yards so I zeroed,that in with a screwdriver very simple,design there and got it to shoot point,of aim point of impact from there and,comes with accuracy its not bad at all,the barrel itself is 3.5 inches long so,its not too long its not so short,though that youre going to need,specialty ammo to get it to perform,ballistically downrange Im not going to,disassemble the pistol here because I,have a video on cleaning lubricating the,high point plus we have a roll pin that,you have to drift out so its not all,that simple in terms of maintenance but,blowback designs like this are pretty,simple and doesnt really need as much,you know maintenance as other pistols or,other designs rather I should say out,there on the market Im sure some of you,guys watching this video have never,actually seen a high point so to give,you an idea of what it looks like in,terms of size-wise its pretty close to,a Glock 19 in many ways with length all,that stuff pretty similar in terms of,size of course the document teams gonna,give you 16 rounds and uses a totally,different operating principle just to,give you an idea compared to a smallish,revolver that we have here which is,Taur

hey matt hey pierce i got a new gun,today,nice what why do you not have a shirt on,i ran in this guy in the parking lot he,told me he would trade me straight up a,gun for my shirt,that was either a really nice shirt or a,really terrible gun yeah it was the,demolition ranch shirt,link in description,well lets see the gun high point,photical,speechless not surprised dont you love,it,welcome to demolition ranch glad youre,here because i need someone else to,suffer a little bit with me,and having to look at that so,the premise of this video i wanted to,buy the cheapest,pistol i could i went to a pawn shop and,i,picked the cheapest one they had and i,want to see can a cheap pistol be good,what they had they actually the cheapest,pistol that they had was actually a,brand new one,this is a brand new high point,full size 40 caliber is this not the,ugliest pistol you have ever seen,just disgusts me to even look at it its,hideous,it doesnt feel good in the hand it,makes weird noises,its super heavy and big and blocky,but brand new it was really really cheap,like crazy cheap,so this pistol is a polymer frame pistol,just like these two,and i brought out sort of an assortment,this is like,you saw this in the last video its the,fn five seven its like one of the,nicest,pistols that you would consider carrying,i mean like its its expensive,its a nice gun really nice this one is,a more reasonable pistol,i would call this a budget pistol this,is the canik tp9sf,its a budget pistol for sure but they,dont look like trash they look nice,theyre not theyre just not ugly i,think its a great looking pistol,does great then at the low end of the,spectrum,you have this price-wise the high point,cost about,half of what our budget pistol cost,it cost about probably 10 percent,of what this gun cost so i mean,i guess it gives it a little room to be,ugly because its its cheap its cheap,i mean thats why i bought it today its,cheap so,gross i think its worth mentioning that,i have a little bias uh i dont like,this pistol,i dont want to like this pistol i,actually hate everything about this,pistol,um but ive heard people say that they,like the pistol after they shoot its a,good shooter,ive also heard people say its trash i,dont know well see i,i hope i end this video by telling you,this gun is terrible,also single stack magazine what is this,1911,but seriously it only holds 10 rounds,thats stupid,oh its so heavy okay lets see if i can,make it through all 10 rounds,its probably why the magazine capacity,is so low so it has less chance of,jamming in a mag,oh i hate it i hate it already,okay success,oh triggers disgusting,i missed probably the guns fault,okay i mean as luck would have it it,made it through its just lucky thats,good ammo i put a good ammo on the gun,give her a go again second magazine,that was weird it did something there,see okay now,let me just uh stick that bullet back in,there,its doing something funky,[Applause],okay all right i feel like im wanting,it to fail lets do it,ill shoot so im gonna go for a head,shot on the left target,all right i think its me thats pulling,it off target,[Music],[Applause],[Applause],this thing when you shoot slow does seem,sort of accurate,but clunky so clunky,yeah 10 more rounds in it im going to,shoot this one as fast as i can,no aiming at all,so i would say we had a little bit of a,feeding issue,like when i first put a mag in one time,but that seemed about it and and its a,brand new gun so ill ill give it the,benefited out,guns do need a little break-in period,and this one did not have any yet,overall its running better than i,thought it would run,lets see if we can change that well do,a little torture on it yall ever seen,those videos where they,get a gun and tie it with a string,to like the back of the truck,and then they drive the truck off road,and drag the gun through like the,rockiest areas ever,yeah we should do that,i mean it looks so bad to begin with but,honestly this might be an improvement,i dont know if you guys can see in,there it is full of dirt i mean like,dirt one everywhere,barrels clear,okay oh that was a little tough,well still going,i mean i gotta say it was a little,delayed at first but it did function,look at that dirt its throwing back on,my hand out of here,when its ejecting dirt out of the,bottom of the slide,thats how you know your gun is a little,too dirty but uh lets go ahead and give,it a pass on that,good job lets step up our game a little,bit,if you were here right now i know what,you would be wanting to ask me you would,be wanting to ask,matt is that flesh-eating bacteria,sitting on top of all this water,and if you did ask me that i would tell,you,i dont know,[Applause],i think were still okay my skin feels,really itchy though,next up is a very scientific test im,pretty sure the military and the fbi,does this with all their service pistols,im going to take a measured amount of,pond scum,and put it shooting him,you just want to disarm him me too all,the time,come on man come on lieutenant dan dude,i made you i made you,dont you point that gun to me you would,be nothing without me,okay hes just confused im just gonna,im just gonna disarm him without,killing well hes been disarmed,lieutenant has no arms im gonna dis,weapon him,without killing him be cool,dude come on were friends we dont need,to do this,we dont,well that was dramatic buddy,buddy okay lieutenant,lieutenant,oh that might hurt good grip though,buddy,great grip great grip bullet straight to,the chamber,put a nice dent there broke our slide,will it rack nope its locked up,man its close though,hold on hold on what happened,no way,ive never wanted a gun to run more than,i want this one to run right now,oh come on,if you make a gun that can take a bullet,to the freaking chamber and bend the,slide and it still runs,whoa okay high point,hate him still hate him im going to go,there and say i still hate him,but truck high point model c9,lets try shooting it again supposedly,it is fixed,well see about that,not too shabby,dudes tell me youve seen the movie,the quick and the dead,it came out in 1995 and it is a fun,western,love good westerns this ones in my,personal dvd collection obviously as you,can see if you havent seen it check it,out its not exactly a gritty realistic,western its not about that its more,stylized,but ill tell you what it has key,elements of a good western that is,make the bad guys bad gene hackman plays,the character,herod yeah were going to get to the gun,review were going to do it via a mini,movie review first so hes a bad dude,pure evil theres court,former bad guy turned good guy preacher,then we have herods son right there,fees his name they call him the kid,and then we have the smoking hot,sharon stone and seriously guys thats,when she was in her prime,yeah,for that reason alone you should check,out the movie the quick and the dead,what a great movie,love a good revenge plot too throw that,there in the western so you got good,being good evils evil,good revenge plot,and in the end the bad guy gets it hard,love it,great movie quick in the dead no its,not realistic go check out unforgiven if,youre looking for that thats one of my,all-time faves for gritty realistic,western movies here we go though a scene,in the quick and the dead this is where,were going with this do you remember,when court goes into the kids shop to,get the gun,and hackman says this man needs a gun,and the kid goes all right,you know eventually they get around to,showing showing the guns behind the,cases like check this out and he throws,out the eagle butt peacemaker,only 30 made,i dont even know if thats historically,accurate dont care really this is,pretty cool spins a cylinder very,precise gorgeous gun,says how about this a remington new,model custom 44,talks about all the mods,how many bank robberies the guy did with,it courts like looking over you can,tell hes a gunslinger because hes,immediately interested hes like,preacher but hes watching hes watching,he likes to steal okay hes hes,noticing then he throws out a scofield,break open uh smith and wesson scofield,45,court likes that one too man no trigger,guard ultra fast any at last he throws,out a cold 120 dollars,of course bad guy herod says nope he,aint got no money whats the cheapest,thing you got in the shop,okay how you like this this is like the,animated version of the movie review and,so the kid throws out a piece of crap,gun on the table some calvary gun says,uh five bucks hes like sold,all right yes this has a point,if we were to do that same scene today,it would go something like this im,talking about the guns youre going to,be in a gunfight distance its 25 yards,pistols only,whats your weapon of choice let me,throw out a couple of suggestions just,kind of like the movie how about xdm 40,hard hitting lots of rounds,great gun accurate ergonomic,its a lot of money maybe you dont have,that much money you know where im going,with this you guys read into me already,how about the quintessential combat,pistol the glock,whatever caliber you want theres a 17.,great choice love it,good good gun to defend your life with,and one of the most reliable semi-auto,pistols ive ever fired in my life,overall the glock,sick,heres one left field previously,reviewed still highly recommended cz,sp01 phantom polymer framed lots of,rounds reliable accurate,good combat gun id feel very,comfortable taking that out in the,street,then we have the warrior excellent sig,p226 id probably take a 40 cal,if sawc permitted,hard hitting deadly this ones a nine,great guns but guess what,he aint got no money,huh whats the cheapest thing you got in,the,shop high point c9,good luck in the gun fight,yeah dudes heres my high point c9,review in the nut and fancy project,we got like ive got nine months of,testing under my belt with this gun to,give you a good review,maybe youre like court and you just,aint got a lot of money rolling around,and you want to know is the high point,c9 or any of the other variants,a good pistol to choose,im going to try to answer that in this,nothing fancy detailed tabletop review,if youre in a hurry i dont know maybe,its going to be too long for you but,im going to cover some stuff thats,going to be interesting so yes this is a,c9 version 9mm then you have i think the,40 jcp model 40 smith and wesson 45 what,they call that jhp model,and then we have the cf-380 thats a 380,acp theyre all basically the same guns,same operating principle,little bit of variances in size of,course and weight well talk about that,is the highpoint c9 a good gun fighting,pistol,youre going to be quick youre going to,be dead,huh lets get into it philosophy of use,a lot of guys will kid and knock high,point,okay i am anything but,a tactical elitist i established that,term like three years ago its kind of,caught on a tactical elitist is someone,who wants to be judged by the excellence,of their tactical gear how cool it is,how high speed it is how much it,impresses,the other,tactical guy shooting to unit in the,range i dont care about any of that,despite what anybody says i really,really dont what i like is,serviceability and value,okay so when i hook into the high point,c9 the question i have is is it going to,be serviceable for me in a selected,philosophy of use and number one would,be defensive handgun,probably a house gun,were gonna get to the the key points,out but thats the first philosophy of,use is you could defend your house with,it,i dont think its a good ccw gun ccp,concealed carry option first off it has,the worst of all attributes for that,role and thats thickness,its too darn thick guys,secondly its too darn heavy,jumping into size and weight,freaking 32 ounces,for an eight shot nine millimeter pistol,holy cow,thats chunky dudes chunky you know,theres other guns that are,that weight,they hold a lot more rounds though they,have a lot more going for them,ergonomically,speaking other stuff like that,not a good ccw option theres probably,some guys running around doing it,because they dont have another option,so if thats the case and yeah you could,do that,some guys will say boat anchor,you can tie a rope to the hand you know,the hand or the trigger guard here throw,it over and you probably keep your you,know small boat from dragging down the,leg cool,im kidding about that but there are,some guys that joke around like that a,recreational gun you bet,you know nine mil is probably the most,affordable pistol cartridge to shoot if,you are buying your,pistol cartridges im talking center,fire here guys,thats philosophy of use survival gun oh,let me add this survival gun is it a,good option for you to throw in your,kit i would say absolutely not not if,you plan on carting that kit by hand or,with your own muscle power not a great,option,i would go for something much slimmer,much lighter,probably a rimfire option for a bug out,to kids,if you think otherwise you need to go,out and do some backpacking and really,come to,you know understanding,uh with those size and weight,constraints i always im talking about,the project so size by the way since,were talking its called i think a,compact nine this version,it is not compact reference my pistol co,my video compacted aint,okay high points not the only one,guilty of this i mean sigs done it all,the manufacturers call their relatively,mid-sized pistols compact this is not,compact,we talk about balance theres one thing,i do not like,about the high point too this kind of,relates to ergonomics but ill say it,now i dont really like the overhang,of the pistol this is a blowback,operated pistol too guys,thats why its so heavy,okay so youre going to shoot it,the round or that is the casing is going,to stay in the chamber until the,pressures drop to safe levels and then,its time to unlock at that point and,extract the case on pure blow back,pressure,therefore for the nine millimeter,cartridge especially a gun like

okay im doing something a little different today  ,yes what you see in my hand is a high point  nine millimeter i know before everybody loses  ,their mind or melts down or anything i  think everyone gets a fair shake here,ill be honest with you i have not shot this  gun and so what were going to do is im set  ,up at 20 yards and were going to shoot 5  shots for accuracy at 20 yards in a gun that  ,i have never shot before i dont even know if  its going to work so lets see what happens,feels a little different here we go five shots,well the slide locks back thats pretty cool  i have to say it was a very interesting trigger  ,and i have no idea how i did because i cant  actually see the bullet holes so lets go see okay,sorry high point but im amazed  ,uh one two three four five uh i would not  say that it has a forgiving trigger on it  ,and uh i was certainly trying to manipulate  it the best that i can but i think it paid out  ,and uh and frankly if i took this round off and  that round off thats definitely a one-inch group,i have no words all right you saw it at the  same time i saw it now i know theres going to  ,be haters so dont uh i think this is an sort of  an interesting science project more than anything  ,so uh in my left hand here im holding the high  point c9 msrp is 199. and ive seen them as cheap  ,as like 149. uh 3.5 inch barrel it weighs 29  ounces so its you know its kind of a hefty  ,little gun uh you can get it in black or something  they call hydro dipped and so they dip it in that  ,uh stuff that layers it with camo or you  know fancy colors and things like that its  ,got three dot sights and its an adjustable rear  sight and ill tell you what with that accuracy  ,you can actually dial this in if you wanted to it  comes with an eight shot standard mag i think you  ,can get a 10 round magazine and theres a lot of  options for these guns i mean grips and sights and  ,optics and you know magazines and all kinds of  stuff its a lot of fun actually to go to the  ,website and see its a polymer frame and some kind  of a mystery metal slide its a blowback and its  ,really heavy so its got to be you know i dont  know some kind of zinc or something like that so  ,ive never actually seen one worn out though and  i know people whove just shot the heck out of  ,these guns comes with a lifetime guarantee so  theres no risk you know if you buy one and it  ,doesnt work well then you get another one or  whatever its a hundred percent american made  ,and uh i dont mean this the way it sounds but  believe it or not there are actually high point  ,collectors and high point does limited edition  guns with you know interesting things written on  ,them in different colors and things like that and  so i think theres more to this than meets the eye  ,okay here we are at the massive  distance of about five yards and uh  ,what im gonna do is just load  this gun its got eight shots in it  ,and were just gonna light up this target  and see what happens all right here we go,well thats cool magazine locks back and uh  ,i did try the safety and the safety work just  fine and it actually feels really good in my hand  ,and the heavy weight really keeps the recoil down  now i wasnt actually aiming i was just kind of  ,pointing and pulling the trigger and my mind was  off on most of those shots but good lord that  ,would do the job if you needed the job done across  your living room and you know just for grins more  ,than anything uh i wanted to put one of these cci  nine millimeter shot cartridges through the gun  ,and just see what happens here because so because  if it works which i think it will you know its a  ,good like trail snake gun and that kind of stuff  so what chambered fine so lets see what happens,well there you go lets see yeah it didnt  eject the uh empty but thats really not  ,uncommon with these kind of rounds well i think  that right there is what this gun is all about  ,and uh and we need to remember that  in other words lest we be judgmental  ,there are people out there who dont have the  money to spend a thousand dollars on a new gun  ,but it they can scrape up the tip money and maybe  come up with 150 and a box of ammunition and get  ,themselves that will protect themselves especially  as insane as the world is right now and so for  ,that i think high point should be commended its  america made by americans in america a lifetime  ,guarantee theyre affordable i think theyre  the five dollar socket set of the gun industry  ,and you buy five dollar sockets and you keep  them in your truck because you may need it  ,someday and you dont want to put your 500  snap-on sockets in the truck so this sort  ,of accomplishes the same thing and im going to  confess that i have used five dollar socket sets  ,and they have got they have helped to get me  home so uh so think about that all right hey  ,thanks for tuning in uh please leave your comments  and uh subscribe if you Reliability Test! Hi-Point C9 9mm

[Music],hey guys welcome back so today were,back out here to do some torture testing,and we do read the comments and probably,one of my favorite suggestions was the,high point this is a c9 its their,little compact nine-millimeter blowback,model its brand new weve broken it in,but were going to fire a few rounds out,of it here were using the same Fiocchi,9 millimeter 124 green ball and well,just prove to you here really quickly,that the gun works before we start our,testing this afternoon,we had this thing out on the range,shooting it right after I got it in I,ordered it through RSR through copper,custom the gun shop and this thing,shoots two point aim and shoots teeny,tiny little groups pretty funny now the,internet will tell you the fees guns are,garbage well were going to find out,just how much garbage these little guns,are theyre going to run it through both,series of tests just to recap very,quickly our first series of tests we,call the elemental test we expose the,gun to one element at a time cleaning it,between each step we first go to water,in this case were going to fire eight,rounds because thats all the magazine,holds and then well go to sand fire,eight rounds cleanse it and water go to,dirt fire eight rounds cleanse it and,water and go to mud if the gun,successfully passes that battery of,tests then we move over to the gauntlet,where we go straight from water to sand,to dirt to mud so how do you guys think,this little gun is going to do this gun,retails for less than $200 its,considered by most to be complete junk,although people I know that own these,and shoot these actually have fairly,good things to say about them I have,limited experience with the guns the,first time Ive ever really spent any,time with one was today when we first,got the gun in and we were test firing,it on the range and I was surprised as,accuracy and reliability but again weve,only put about 100 rounds or so through,it so here we go guys Im going to go,ahead and load up this one extra,magazine with the pokey ammo so that we,have all our magazines ready to go the,gun has been lubricated it is not the,easiest gun in the world to clean so if,this thing starts running into problems,well just have to stop the test because,it requires a punch to disassemble the,gun all right eight rounds one more and,then we will make the gun ready really,needs to go one of two ways its going,to go one way or the other thats it Wow,yeah thats about the only way it can go,right either really good or really bad,and make the gun ready round of the,chamber magazine firmly seated well go,ahead and put it in the water,theres not very many bubbles all right,eight rounds and it locked open all,right next test is sand,wow thats no serrations on that bad boy,here we go I had to grab the front of,the slide lets go ahead and make sure,we got the sand nice and turned up there,all right well put it on one side push,it down turn it over on the other side,push it down and fire eight rounds we,got our first malfunction the bullet,nosedived in the magazine we did notice,this early on the bullets have kind of a,nose down attitude lets see if we can,get it to feed okay I went ahead and fed,all right that could have been a problem,with the magazine we dont know lets go,ahead and cleanse the gun off grab a,fresh magazine make it ready,that bullet wants to nose down to the,magazine see how that bullet wants to go,down there seems to be every magazine,every thing has to do with the angle of,the actual Fiocchi bullet itself it,could be all right so now lets turn the,dirt over here really quick make sure we,get it nice and tender and juicy there,push it down on one side turn it over,and push it down on the other and then,fire eight rounds same thing Wow,theres a double feed so it looks like,it failed to extract one cartridge and,tried to chamber another one lets go,ahead and drop the magazine out see if,we get that to clear looks like that was,a live round actually all right I think,it was this magazine lay the weapon down,clean my hand off well go ahead and re,load the gun see if we can get it to,continue firing you see some dirt,building up inside there inside the,ejection port all right lets see if we,can get this thing to,chamber around two if we can finish it,out and it actually locked open all,right,not great but not horrible now the real,test the mud get it nice and clean these,serrations are horrible guys with wet,hands there is no way you can actually,operate the slide clear malfunctions or,whatever so Im having to grab it at the,muzzle end all right take it over to the,mud put it on one side push it down,until its flush pull it out other side,push it down until its flush and eight,rounds all right all right guys so you,know what I dont know if its the ammo,thats wanting to go nose down it seems,to be a common theme with all the,magazines I dont think its a faulty,magazine it might be different ammo that,this thing might like just standard ball,round without the pointyness but it did,surprisingly well I think so we did have,to stop and clear a double feed the,magazines definitely nosin down the,bullet I dont know if I have any other,ammo in the Jeep were going to stop,clean the gun up in the water here,really quick and then were going to run,this bad boy through the gauntlet and,see what it does why not right,alright guys were going to try,something because we know we were having,problems with the Fiocchi ammo you can,see how it has a very sharp taper to it,and was nosing down I had some freedom,munitions 115 grain ball in the Jeep,were going to go ahead and try this,real quick is in a test just to see if,it does the nose-down thing with the gun,it does seem like it wants to do it I,dont think its really when the,magazines are full it seems that it,wants to do that Im just going to fire,off this freedom I dont see that,theres going to be much of a difference,really Im just going to fire this off,though if nothing else weve confirmed,function of the gun Im going to go,ahead and go ahead and use the Fiocchi,ammunition because it looks like even,with the standard shaped ball round on a,full magazine these guns tend to kind of,push that nose of the bullet down and,when it feeds on that first round,alright guys because we know were,having problems with all the magazines,being fully loaded were going to go,ahead and just load seven rounds in each,magazine and see if that helps the gun,at all for the gauntlet alright first,seven rounds hung up a little bit,alright here we go,seven rounds,all right into the sand,push it down bring some sand up over it,other side push it down bring some sand,up over it and seven rounds all right,had to help at home I couldnt even see,the slide was ever so slightly out of,battery even though it was go ahead and,put it in the dirt,push it down put some dirt up over it,same thing on the other side push it,down bring some dirt up over it all,right here we go,all right remedial action fixed one just,slightly not going into battery and into,the mud bring some mud up over it man,here we go and alright dig it out other,side throw it in the mud put mud on it,make sure you got my face shield down,for this one clear a hole for my finger,all right here we go it didnt even pick,up around,its not picking up rounds aa-actually,magazine see it yeah magazines in,alright guys,it needed some help but it made it,through with remedial action for the,most part take a look at that thing,the sad part is is theres no easy way,to clean this thing you gotta drive pens,out and all sorts of stuff but this gun,is nasty next day alright lets clean,ourselves up a bit collect our thoughts,and well be right back with our this time on bulletproof tactical were,going to take a look at the highpoint c9,this is probably the most affordable,firearm out there right now a lot of,people have been asking me to make a,review on this firearm why because its,obviously appealing its really,affordable so were gonna take a closer,look at it were gonna shoot it and ill,give you guys my overall opinion,continue watching,[Applause],theres,[Applause],so,[Music],all right lets go ahead and get started,with todays review the high point c9 a,lot of viewers were requesting this,firearm because its really affordable,and honestly theres so much demand for,firearms right now so lets go ahead and,start with a price point this firearm,cost me a total of 179 dollars plus,taxes,that was with my own money so everything,i say about this firearm is legit lets,go ahead and see what we get,lets first safely check the firearm you,guys can see,it is clear,and quick note,the slide wont lock back unless the,magazine is not inserted so thats,another one of the things i dont like,about this firearm but well get to that,in a minute,and uh,you guys can see we get a ghost string,rear sight you can go ahead and install,that in a video if you guys want to,and you guys get a tool,to disassemble a firearm so not a good,sign every time you get a tool to,disassemble your firearm,you know most firearms are you know,usually being you can disassemble them,with no tools required so the fact that,they send you a little tool for that,means its going to be a little more,complicated than most firearms weve got,a lube sample,and our booklets,so you guys can see only one magazine is,included i mean,what else do you expect for 179 dollars,this is an eight round mag so a total of,nine if you carry it loaded,oh yeah and another thing i forgot to,mention you can only rack this slide,forward,once again,if the mag is out of the firearm so,were gonna get a magazine release only,on one side its not ambidextrous safety,on one side not ambidextrous,and were gonna get a feature thats,called magazine disconnect youre not,able to fire the firearm if the magazine,is not inserted,once you insert the magazine,that safety mechanism,is disengaged,so,not my favorite type of mechanism by far,especially not if youre barely getting,into firearms this makes clearing,malfunctions and operating the firearm a,little bit more complicated uh lets go,ahead and compare the size of this,firearm with a glock 19 just so you guys,can get an idea of the size because,it is a pretty bulky firearm glock 19s,are known to be a bit bulky so you guys,can see pretty much same dimensions,but obviously the slide on this is just,massive you guys can see the slide,difference,you know its just absolutely massive,you can even feel the weight,of that,so lets go ahead and,take a look at the sides you guys can,see you get two red dots and one orange,blade side in the front so thats pretty,interesting,and uh,you get some nice cocking serrations in,the rear none of them in the front,and you know you guys can just see,the attention to detail is is pretty bad,you know you get a whole bunch of,grooves here its not polished,you know the plastic looks pretty rough,you guys can see kind of seems like they,grinded that down you know maybe the,the molds leave some,uh plastic,material there and they probably just,shave it off quick,definitely,not a firearm that has an attention to,detail but we do get some serrations,here in the back also in the front kind,of seems like we have some finger,grooves going right here its a,comfortable firearm but the grips are,really slippery so who knows how,how good that would be if your hands are,wet sweaty maybe even bloody,lets go ahead and,do a trigger pull so you guys can get an,idea,of how the trigger is,i mean this sounds really funny but,yeah sounds really funny you guys can,even hear the i dont know if the,microphone can pick up that noise but it,kind of sounds like a piggy bank,you know you get a lot of noise coming,from the firearm,really massive slide you guys can see it,right here really really massive slide,so im curious to see how the recoil is,going to react to that you know,nine millimeter doesnt have a lot of,recoil but with all this mass going back,at you uh when the slide rocks backwards,i want to see how the recoil feels so,lets take a closer look at the firearm,and well go ahead and give you guys,some specs right now,so once again it does get a total of,eight plus one capacity if you carry it,loaded,uh once again we do get that magazine,disconnect feature which im not a big,fan of the overall length of the firearm,is 6.75 inches the barrel length is 3.5,inches,the weight with a firearm loaded comes,to 29 ounces,and its obviously a blowback operated,firearm and you know theyre common for,magazine issues is what ive seen a lot,of people say that the magazines are,kind of faulty so were gonna go ahead,and clear every rumor down at the range,ill give you guys my honest opinion,so lets take it down to the range lets,do less talking lets see how it,performs were going to shoot nothing,but steel case ammunition its the,cheapest and its usually not reliable,so if this firearm is going to fill its,going to fill with steel case so lets,take it down to the range continue,watching,[Music],[Music],[Music],you,[Music],so,so were back from the range how did it,go bulletproof tactical you guys saw the,footage the firearm actually performed,better than i expected we shot a high,point once in the channel the 380,carbine and a lot of people bashed me on,that video saying the the firearms are,great that the issues i was experiencing,were actually magazine issues and im,going to be 100 honest with you for 179,i actually,kind of like the high point you know,179 dollars you know i can obviously buy,a more expensive firearm,i dont know if i would carry this every,day,but you know theres people that you,know are on a budget and are not firearm,enthusiasts and are not willing to spend,thousands of dollars on firearms so if,youre just looking for something,affordable reliable,and something you dont mind bashing,you know this is probably a good option,you know we only had one malfunction,which i could tell you uh it was when,when i was feeding the firearm you guys,can see uh,the firearm kind of seemed like it nose,dived so thats usually a magazine,problem it was a feeding issue kind of,seemed like the bullet was nose diving,so thats usually,magazine issues this is a factory,magazine just for anyone in the comments,section that bashed me on my last high,point video this is a factory magazine,im not saying the firearm was terrible,just one malfunction out of 50 rounds we,put through it not terrible did not lube,this firearm right out of the box i shot,it once again we shot the cheapest,ammunition available,and you know,usually anyone buying a high point is,probably going to shoot the cheapest,ammunition anyhow so i think this test,was uh,fair,and,also as far as the aesthetics go well,its an ugly firearm in my opinion but,youre not buying this once again for,the looks youre buying it,uh because of the price as far as recoil,goes,it does feel,like you get more recoil than a regular,any other firearm that shoots nine,millimeter just the sheer mass of the,slide kind of kicks your hand back a,little more just because its such a,massive slide so the recoil is,definitely,more noticeable,with this firearm,as far as accuracy goes,these sights look horrible but honestly,once youre shooting it,theyre actually pretty good you know,they look really funny especially since,the dots are really small and you have,such a massive slide it looks it doesnt,look proportional,but it actually shoots really good you,know i got to give it to high point,this firearms not all that terrible let,me know in the Hi-Point C9 9mm Review: The Cheapest Pistol That Still Works

[Applause],[Music],whats up guys this is the Honest outlaw,here and today we are gonna be reviewing,the ugliest pistol of all time,it is the highpoint c9 so what is this,little pistol well it is a compact,framed blowback operated nine-millimeter,pistol with a 3.5 inch barrel and it,weighs two stout one pound fifteen,ounces so basically two pounds with a,magazine capacity of eight plus one it,also comes in many interesting colors,black pink desert digital and probably,my favorite the hundred dollar bill,finish because why not so why would you,buy this well theoretically it is a,compact gun so we could do quite a bit,it kind of tries to fit in the same,categories of g19 the home defense,concealed carry type category although,its a little hefty for that and its a,little wide for that as you can see but,you could definitely defend your house,with it if you had to and you could,definitely carry it if you had to but,for me personally I think it would flex,really well into like a bug-out roll if,you had to put this in a plastic bag and,bear it in the ditch somewhere or leave,it in a shed in the middle of nowhere or,whatever your gonna do with it it would,flex really wont do a truck gun as well,or maybe a glove box gun or something,like that since its incredibly cheap so,if it does get stolen youre not out to,much money but mainly its a gun that,you get when you either cant afford to,get a better one or you just simply,dont want to so I like to start off,these reviews with the most important,category which is reliability and I,cant even believe Im gonna say this,but this thing really does work its not,the most reliable pistol Ive reviewed,by far but its definitely not unusable,either I would say about 95% and thats,pretty good considering that you can,find these as low as $100 so about 97 98,percent I would even say probably to,malfunctions per each hundred rounds and,since the videos ive checked online of,well have verified that im gonna,consider that probably about the,reliability you can expect now thats,one of the two selling points of this,pistol the two selling points being,reliability and price because lets be,honest if this pistol was a girl she,wouldnt exactly be modeling shed be,more like a middle-aged rural middle,school lunch lady shes nice she shows,up for work but youre not going to be,showing her,to your friends if you know what I mean,now durability again is pretty good I,would say it feels like a brick I can,tell you that it feels like if you ran,it over with your car it would probably,work although the metal I would say is,pretty pretty stingy but its definitely,not the least durable pistol that Ive,ever seen but it will probably hold up,as well as a Glock ER and Im Andy I,would imagine now well get into,economics and shoot ability and sadly,this is where the pack separates from,the high point the slide is outrageously,big along with the blowback design gives,the pistol much more recoil than it,really should have the nine-millimeter,feels a lot like a 45 and also because,of that it increases the length of time,needed for follow-up shots compared to,other budget pistols you can see that,giant slide right here,I mean its essentially half half the,half the gun really so if you look at,how much I can grip versus how much is,above it you can see that its got a,pretty extreme bore axis I mean sig,would be proud if they saw the high,point and look at how big the a big the,slide is the slide is harder to operate,than traditional guns so its harder to,load the firearm and get around the,chamber and its also much harder to,clear those one to two malfunctions that,you get every hundred rounds or so the,trigger is absolutely terrible I believe,it has a trigger it does it has a,trigger safety on it as well so if,theres no magazine and serve the,trigger will not work so as you can see,there the trigger is really really heavy,and fairly long and it actually kind of,angles downward which makes accuracy,fairly difficult another thing that,makes accuracy fairly difficult is the,worst sight design in the world really,the worst sight design in the world if,you can see there what they did was is,they put hi-def rear sights on it right,which in theory would be great if you,had a high def front sight the only,problem is this is a digital camo gun,and actually digital candled the front,sight so the most important site is,camod in the two rear sights which mean,almost nothing they do help dont get me,wrong but not near as much as the folks,in the front sight does are completely,unfocused at all times every time you,try to shoot it youre really searching,for that front sight and that adds time,and decreases accuracy really really a,pistol,in my opinion not to mention that these,sites the rear sight looks like its,removable but the front sight is made,right into the gun so if you want to,change this out youre out of luck the,grip has absolutely no traction as well,as you can see there is zero to speak up,the grip isnt horrible I will give it,that I had to kind of do a little bit,more of a revolver grip when I was,shooting because if you ride your thumbs,up high like I do you will slow the,slide down you will cause a malfunction,getting into takedown really quick Im,not gonna do takedown on this but you,can research videos the takedown on this,gun is painful to say the least,1911s are actually easier to take down,and theyre over a hundred years old and,a Glock holy crap you could do a Glock,blindfolded this kind however not so,much now one of the things about the big,ass slide again it has to be big because,of the blowback design but that does,increase the weight now this pistol is,almost 2 pounds remember which is,heavier than a fully loaded g17 with no,ammo on this gun at all and this gun,only holds 8 rounds so youve got a,2-pound gun that holds 8 rounds when you,can have a one and a half pound gun that,holds 17 rounds so consider that in your,purchase as well the safety is weird as,you can see here it does work but I,dont love it and I would prefer it if,that safety was not even there it only,comes with one magazine but again this,pistol can be found in or between 100,$150 so what do you really expect this,is the magazine that I can show you here,really quick this is the eight round,magazine now there is dots here to show,you how fully loaded you are,which I guess is nice and there is a,little bit of a finger ramp here too,which does help you on shooting so the,magazine Im not gonna knock on too much,another bad thing with the high point is,holster and aftermarket accessory,availability so youre gonna find a lot,of problems trying to find accessories,to make this pistol better and,especially a holster now accessories are,not necessary but a holster is if you,carry a gun you should carry a holster,you really should itll protect the,trigger guard a lot of people want a,safety for their gun your holsters your,safety and the problem at the high point,is they dont make a whole lot of Kydex,specifically made holsters for this and,not only that but the whole since the,slide is so big in fat it wont fit in a,lot of Universal holsters that a lot of,other pistols will now that Im done,bashed on the ergonomics were getting,an accuracy quick as you can imagine,its not great either,if youve seen any of my videos when I,usually talk about accuracy its usually,a mixture between how good the trigger,is and how good the sights are so,because almost all pistols are,inherently accurate enough if you were,to bench stress this pistol it would be,it would be a hundred yards accurate I,would willing to bet but the problem is,is that you have to interface with the,trigger in order to get that and you,have to use the sights line the gun up,so if you cant really see the front,sight because it is camod and you cant,operate the trigger correctly because,its incredibly difficult Im not saying,that you couldnt get good at this Im,willing to bet there people out there,that got really good shoo
