hey everybody this is andre here,covering for kevin on the kevin breeze,channel,and in this video were going to be,going over some pros and cons of the,2021 version of the motorola,moto g power lets get started so the,first,pro for this phone is that it has a very,large battery,this phone has a 5 000 milliamp hour,battery that supports 15 watt fast,charging,now this is definitely impressive youre,really not going to get much bigger than,a 5000 milliamp hour battery,and being able to use 15 watt fast,charging youre really not gonna have a,big problem when it comes to battery,life this phones gonna have the battery,power to last a really long time without,being charged,and when you do charge it you can charge,it even faster,now the first con of this phone is that,it has no,ultra wide camera this is definitely a,disappointment,since it has a bunch of other camera,features too,this phone has a 48 megapixel rear,camera a 2 megapixel depth sensing,camera,and a 2 megapixel macro camera and,especially considering that its,predecessor,did have an ultra wide camera i really,dont know why with all these other,camera features,they took that one off especially,considering that out of all the ones,that it does have,theyre really not as common or,frequently used,as an ultra wide camera so really i see,no logical reason,why they would take off the ultra wide,camera on the newer model of this phone,especially considering that most of the,competitors in this price range are,bound to have an ultra wide camera,unfortunately thats how this phone is,and if youre looking for a phone that,has an ultra wide camera then youll,definitely want to look at other devices,now the next pro for this phone is the,fingerprint scanner,most phones have a fingerprint scanner,either here on the display or in the,back somewhere,or in the case of the iphone they dont,have one at all but this phone doesnt,have,any of those this phone has a,fingerprint scanner right on the power,button,itself which i think is just great,naturally,when youre unlocking your phone whether,you need to or not,youre most likely going to be touching,the power button in some form,and to have a fingerprint scanner on the,power button now,once you do press that power button,whether its on purpose or out of,impulse you dont need to do,anything else because the phones just,automatically going to be unlocked,now the only other way that might be,faster is if you have some sort of face,unlock then you might be able to tap the,screen and instantly unlock it then but,even in that situation,youre still not gonna be able to do,that while the phone is in your pocket,and no matter what youre gonna have to,touch the phone in,some way to unlock it these days ive,always thought it would be cool in the,future if phones had some sort of voice,unlock where it would recognize your,voice and you could be like hey,phone unlock and it would just unlock,for you but right now that technology,doesnt even exist,in any phone at all that ive heard of,so really this is the next best thing,and to give you an idea of how fast this,is right now the phone is completely,locked,and i just unlocked it i dont think,theres any fingerprint scanner position,that can really beat this,the in display ones are really cool and,the ones on the back,are not bad either but really in my,opinion,you really cant beat a fingerprint,scanner on the actual power button and i,wish that more phones would do it like,this,now the next con for this phone is that,it has no nfc,no nfc is the technology used for google,pay,and i personally use that feature a lot,its a really easy convenient way to,make payments,and now that its being accepted in more,and more places and more and more phones,even entry and mid-level ones are,starting to get the technology to use it,i really would have liked to see it on,this phone,and is becoming more widely available,its not even usable on this phone,because it doesnt have nfc,it would have been nice to see but,unfortunately it just doesnt have it,now another pro for this phone is its,display this phone has a 6.6 inch,ips lcd display with a resolution of,720p,a ppi of 266 an aspect ratio,of 20×9 and a screen to body ratio of,83.8 percent,so being 6.6 inches this screen is,definitely on the larger side and thats,great for something like content,consumption,right now i do have the brightness at,100 and i would say,it looks really good and with a high,quality bright screen,combined with its size and the small,bezels,its really going to be ideal for,consuming content,or doing things like playing games,another con for this phone,is that with the 2021 version of the,motorola moto g power,its no longer able to shoot in 4k video,now thats very disappointing because,its predecessor could shoot 4k videos,this one is limited to 1080p in both the,rear and front cameras,now its nice that it has the same,quality in the front camera as it does,in the rear camera i will give it that,but since its predecessor,could shoot in 4k i would expect the,same from this phone and im not sure,why they went backwards but it is pretty,disappointing especially if one of your,main uses of your device,is shooting videos this is definitely,going to be a drawback,and either way i really dont see why a,phone would be going backwards as far as,the features go,with its newer models now pro for this,phone is a clean software thats well,optimized i really do think the software,on this phone is tried and true,its very easy to use really intuitive,even if youre not,accustomed to using android per se i did,previously do a video about tips tricks,and hidden features,for this phone and as you could see from,that video there are a lot of really,neat features,in this phone that really arent very,hard to activate and figure out how to,use,so i am really impressed by how user,friendly it is,now another con for this phone is its,storage now this phone,starts out at 32 gigabytes of internal,storage,with microsd expansion and it starts out,at three gigabytes of ram for the memory,now i honestly dont think this is very,impressive at all,especially considering a lot of the,competitors have a lot more than this,now that being said you can get the,variant of this phone that has 64,gigabytes of internal storage,and four gigabytes of ram for the memory,but at the same time,thats still really just decent compared,to the lower model that in my opinion,just,isnt enough period i really do think 64,gigabytes is a bare minimum these days,for internal storage i always say,whether you think you need it or not,you should always have more storage than,you need because its better to have it,and not need it,than it is to need it and not have it,and in this case,really starting out at 32 gigabytes of,storage i really think it should start,out at 64 gigabytes of storage,at least there are lots of phones close,to this price range especially that of,the 64 gigabyte variant of this phone,that have a whole 128 gigabytes of,internal storage,and i think that is a lot more,acceptable to give you an idea of what,this looks like,i have everything thats used on a daily,basis downloaded onto this phone and,its taking up,60 of the internal storage a lot of that,is,from the system which you cant really,control,so just thinking about that it is crazy,to me,to think that youre only going to be,able to use a few gigabytes,of the storage on this phone no matter,what until you start using up this much,storage,if youre doing something like taking,photos shooting videos,playing games or using any larger app in,general that takes up a lot of storage,or even a decent amount youre really,gonna run into some trouble with the 32,gigabyte variant and even with the 64,gigabyte variant,just the system alone in a couple apps,taking up say,30 of the memory if it were 64 gigabytes,instead of 32,just really isnt ideal for me whereas,even other closely related motorola,phones like the 2021 model of the,motorola moto g stylus for example that,one,ha

the moto g series has long been a way to,get a solid reliable phone at a low,price,motorola just took the wraps off a,refresher for the series in the form of,the 2021 moto g,play moto g power and moto g stylus the,moto g power,however is really the option to go for,considering its no-frills approach and,strip back software the new device is,also very inexpensive at 200 bucks for,the entry level model the moto g power,is perfect for those who may not want to,spend more than a few hundred bucks on a,phone that should still last a few years,or so thats not to mention its stellar,battery and strip back software,experience,ive been using the moto g power for a,while now to see just how it stacks up,against the competition if you like this,video please hit the like button,and subscribe to the channel it really,helps support my work and i would,appreciate that support,[Music],the moto g power may be an inexpensive,device but it still has a generally,modern design with an edge to edge,display and a hole punch cutout for the,front facing camera theres a small chin,on the bottom but its not really that,intrusive and youll get used to it on,the back theres a centered camera bump,for the rear facing camera,and a plastic back which doesnt look or,feel as premium as glass but should,still be a little more durable on the,top theres a headphone jack while on,the bottom youll get a usbc,port on the right side theres a,fingerprint sensor in the power button,and it works pretty well,its fast and responsive and while you,will have to get used to aligning your,finger on it every time you use your,phone youll get used to it eventually,the display on the phone is really only,fine,its a 6.6 inch 720p display and colors,can look a little muted it does the job,for most and the lower resolution does,help make for a better battery life but,if youre looking for something to watch,movies on or something like that,you may not get the best experience the,phone isnt the thinnest out there but,it doesnt feel overly chunky despite,the huge battery under the hood,speaking of internals the moto g power,is built with a qualcomm snapdragon 662,processor coupled with 3 gigabytes of,ram and 32 gigabytes of storage in the,base model,and 4 gigabytes of ram and 64 gigabytes,of storage in the 250 dollar model i,recommend going for the 250 dollar model,if possible considering that extra,storage 32 gigabytes isnt really enough,these days and youre likely to fill it,up pretty quick the specs in general,seem to be a slight step back compared,to last years moto g power which came,with a snapdragon 665 processor they,score,similar results in benchmarks and of,course the new model is a little cheaper,which helps lighten the blow one thing,that is really frustrating to see is,that motorola still hasnt added nfc,support to the moto g line that means no,google pay on the device,its overdue that the moto g gets this,feature and i hope to see it in the next,generation,despite the scaled back specs the phone,performed fine in day-to-day use,and even in some mobile gaming and more,intense multitasking games like call of,duty mobile work perfectly well while,more intense games like asphalt 9 can,suffer the occasional stutter but still,seem to work perfectly fine,this likely partly has to do with the,lower resolution display making gaming a,little easier on the processor as you,might expect from a phone with the word,power in its name the moto g power comes,with a huge battery sitting in at five,thousand milliamp hour capacity that,equates to well over two days of even,moderate use,and some light users might even be able,to stretch to three days thats very,impressive the phone unfortunately does,not have wireless charging though,considering the excellent battery life,it doesnt matter as much,the camera on the phone is really pretty,mediocre the moto g power comes with a,triple lens camera with one 48 megapixel,main sensor,one two megapixel macro lens and one two,megapixel depth sensor theres no,telephoto or ultrawide lenses here which,is a little frustrating to see,especially considering the fact that the,macro sensor is so limited in,functionality,and doesnt really deliver photos that,are all that good the main sensor which,has an effective output of 12 megapixels,with motorolas quad pixel tech,can deliver decent photos in well-lit,environments but theyre still pretty,boring with dull colors and not much,detail,if mobile photography is really,important to you then the moto g power,probably shouldnt be your top choice,another reason to love motorola phones,is the stripback software experience,motorola offers a near stock software,through myux and the result is that its,sleek and easy to navigate some prefer a,more complicated layout like what,samsung offers through one ui,but i tend to prefer a more minimalistic,approach and,motorola has included some extra,features through the moto app,including some handy gestures and the,ability to tweak settings while gaming,the downside is that motorola is pretty,terrible at offering good updates right,now the phone ships with android 10,which is the last generation version of,android,and while motorola says it will get,android 11 it hasnt said when,and thats where it ends so youre,effectively getting one android update,to a version of android thats already,available,you will get security updates for longer,but im really disappointed to see,motorola be so terrible at operating,system updates and i hope it improves in,the future,so is the moto g power the phone for you,well,it depends the phone is solid to be sure,and if you have a budget of 250,or less then its probably the best,device to go for for now if you can,stretch your budget to 350 dollars,however i would recommend doing so as,the pixel 4a will deliver better,performance a much better camera,even smoother software and a better,display that said of course,you have to pay more to get it and if,you simply want a device for some light,texting and calling the odd basic gaming,and social media,then the moto g power is a great phone,especially whats going on guys my name is wade,with tech daily and in this video,were going to be doing a full,comparison between this years new 2021,moto g power and last years moto g,power,now usually wed be talking about all,the great new,upgrades and add-ons a new version of a,phone would have,but unfortunately with a new moto g,power this year,thats just not the case in fact last,years version,of this phone is objectively the better,device,in a lot of ways and im going to,explain all the reasons why,in this video theres a lot to go over,so i wont waste any more time,lets first talk about the pricing and,configuration options because,thats already something worth,considering the new,2021 moto g power retails right now for,199,unlocked which technically is cheaper,than last year,but thats for the configuration with,just three gigabytes of ram,and 32 gigabytes of internal storage a,new option this year the 249,configuration is the one with four gigs,of ram and 64 gigabytes of storage,and that is the same price and same,specs as last year,so while some people might suggest this,years phone,is cheaper its not really the cheaper,price point just gets you lower specs,and actually since last years moto g,power has been out for a while now,obviously,you can snag that phone at a discount,anyway from places like amazon,so all in all last years phone is,likely going to be the better deal,if were doing a straight price and,configuration comparison,and if you guys are interested in doing,some comparison shopping of your own,ill leave some links down below in the,video description,to all the deals and discounts now,physically,these two phones do look pretty,different and,actually at a glance i do like the,changes motorola brought to the new moto,g power,its now a bit larger of a device 6.6,inches versus 6.4 last year and getting,a little more screen real estate for,consuming content,is kind of nice especially since its,not so big that its tough to hold,mainly just a little taller but still i,think a pretty good size,design wise at least up front most,everything stayed the same,youve got identical corner hole punch,camera cutouts up front,slim bezels along the sides and a,similar thicker bottom chin,nothing really more to say here i think,this setup is perfectly fine,around back is where most of the,noticeable physical changes can be found,both phones are still made of plastic,but this years new moto g power,received this sort of,imitation metal looking housing versus,the glossy finish last year and again i,kind of like this,change it at least makes the new phone,look more premium,even though its not and not having to,worry about those gross fingerprints is,kind of nice too,they both also have metal frames and a,curvy tapered edge,but overall the changes are just visual,the new phone like last year,is still a budget-friendly plastic,device in all the same ways,taking a look around weve got the same,sim and sd card tray on the left,the headphone jack has moved up top on,the new moto g power versus the bottom,placement last year,both phones have a usbc charging port,and bottom speaker,on the right theres the volume buttons,and power button which also doubles as,the fingerprint sensor on the new phone,last years device had the sensor around,back theres a new camera setup which,ill go over of course,but lets jump back to the speaker for a,second this is the first,change on a long list of negative,changes,downgrades really with the new phone we,lose the dual stereo speaker setup,completely,last years phone had a secondary,speaker in the earpiece this year,on the new moto g power motorola just,took that extra speaker away and thats,really disappointing,im a big proponent of stereo speakers i,think it was a nice addition,on an affordable phone like this and,just straight up removing it is,a really bad move but thats not the,worst,change the most disappointing thing,about the new moto g power,is the display last year we got a full,hd,2300 by 1080 screen it was an ips lcd,panel that packed in,399 pixels per inch this year,the new moto g power has just a 1600 by,720 resolution display,at 266 pixels per inch and yes,its still an ips lcd panel it is,objectively,a worse display not just because of the,lower resolution but because,its a lower resolution on a larger,overall screen,and this to me just makes no sense now i,dont know,if everyone cares about this or can even,tell a difference from a normal viewing,distance,theres nothing drastically different,the overall color,and max brightness and viewing,experience seem to all look identical at,least,but side by side when viewing text for,example a little closer up,i think most anyone can see pretty,easily that last years moto g power is,obviously a sharper looking display and,if you care,even a little bit about specs or value,for your money and,you see 720p display versus 1080p,display,you can probably recognize that lower,resolution is,worse by comparison my biggest complaint,here isnt the 720p display,itself on the new moto g power its,obviously not great but the real issue,is simply the fact that motorola,straight up downgraded,one of the most important aspects of a,smartphone,seemingly for no reason and its not,only disappointing,its a little insulting to motorola,customers i think overall this is,probably my biggest complaint,and one of the main reasons why i cant,recommend this new phone over last,years but if you can believe it theres,actually even more here that they took,away around back,the camera setup on the new moto g power,appears to be an upgrade versus last,year at least at first glance,you get a 48 megapixel main lens now,versus the 16 megapixel shooter on the,old phone,theres a macro lens on both devices and,the moto g power this year added a depth,sensor for potentially better portrait,shots,but once again motorola took away a,solid feature,theres now no more ultra wide lens,something i,personally use quite often certainly,more than the macro lens and likely even,more than a depth sensor too,and while the camera app itself has been,redesigned for the better,its much easier to switch between,shooting modes and find certain features,this new phone drops 4k video recording,entirely which i dont really understand,so all in all while i do think the,standard shots with the new moto g power,are gonna be better than last years,phone not everything in the camera,department is an,improvement and capability wise i think,there is,a little less to offer also the selfie,camera seems to be different as well and,again not,in a good way last year we got a 16,megapixel selfie lens,this year its an 8 megapixel shooter,now in this case the specs dont tell,the whole story,i think the new moto g power does take,better selfie shots at least there seems,to be more detail,the color is better so thankfully that,seems to be okay,but what could have been an easy,complete upgrade with the camera setup,once again winds up being i guess a,weird mishmash of pros,and cons but really its just motorola,taking away,good stuff from last years phone which,is super frustrating,now its not all bad news there are a,couple,other solid positive changes for example,the fingerprint sensor on the power,button now i consider to be,pretty good the placement is super,comfortable its plenty quick,and im glad motorola decided to switch,things up here in fact it seems to be a,little faster to get to the home screen,too in addition to that motorola brought,back face unlock which is something,theyve been taking away from previous,phones,and this to me works great too so the,unlocking methods here are all,pretty solid and the whole point of the,moto g Motorola Moto G Power (2021) Unboxing, Hands On & First Impressions!
whats going on guys my name is wade,with tech daily and in this video,we are checking out the new 2021,motorola moto g,power this of course is the successor to,last years moto g power,its motorolas relatively affordable,smartphone,aimed at folks who want a long lasting,device,and given how popular last years,version of this phone was,i know a lot of people were probably,looking forward to this new phone,but unfortunately this device like,a number of other new 2021 moto devices,is more of a downgrade than anything,else versus last year,im gonna go over everything you need to,know about this new phone,ill give you my honest thoughts on it,of course but first things first,lets go ahead and unbox this thing and,see what all comes inside the package,now the moto g power is primarily a us,smartphone,its available right now for either 199,or 249 dollars depending on the,configuration you go with though,it will likely hit some carrier and,prepaid networks,soon for much cheaper and if youre,interested in doing some comparison,shopping of your own ill leave some,links,down below in the video description to,all the deals and discounts,popping open the box here the first,thing we get is the phone itself,and right off the bat you can probably,see that this new moto g power has been,completely redesigned well set it aside,for just a second,and digging a little deeper we also get,a small stack of paperwork and the sim,ejector tool beneath all that junk,just two included accessories a usb-a to,usb-c,charging cable and the standard 15 watt,usb-a,wall plug so with all that stuff out of,the way here is the new,2021 moto g power and like i mentioned,already,this phone rocks a totally new look from,top to bottom,but theres a lot more to talk about,here than just a redesign,first off this new moto g power is now a,little bigger,it comes in at 6.6 inches versus last,years 6.4 inch size,and i do consider this bump up in size,to be a positive,you get a big screen for viewing all,your content but,its not so big that the phone is,difficult to manage some,6.7 or 6.8 inch devices are super tall,and almost impossible to comfortably,hold this phone,still feels nice and i consider it to be,the right balance,motorola also stuck with a fairly modern,design,up front youve got the same corner hole,punch camera cut out,relatively slim bezels and a noticeable,but still,fairly small bottom chin all in all no,real complaints here,they essentially kept the look of the,whole front of the phone the same as,last year and i dont see anything wrong,with this,setup unfortunately the actual screen,itself on the new moto g power is a big,downgrade its now a 1600 by 720,resolution panel,packing in just 260 pixels per inch,compare that to last year where we got,the full hd,2300 by 1080 resolution screen at nearly,400 pixels per inch and i think you can,kind of understand the frustration here,it is still the same ips lcd display as,well,we didnt gain oled or anything like,that so theres no other way of putting,it,this is just a really unfortunate change,not only has motorola,essentially taken away something from,last year but having a 720 resolution,screen,at this much bigger size in general also,just doesnt look so great,its not that sharp to me you can,absolutely pick out the pixels pretty,easily,and sure i suppose not everyone is going,to look so closely at the screen,honestly from a normal viewing distance,for watching everyday content its not a,terrible experience,its certainly bright enough with decent,angles theres nothing too atrocious,about it and some people,likely wont care or even notice but,its more just the principle of the,thing,at this size 720p doesnt make too much,sense,at this price point especially 200 to,250 dollars,i really dont think its fair and,having a much better screen,on last years phone is also just sort,of insulting its a bad move,all around for motorola and for the,handful of you,who do care about specs and more,importantly value,in a smartphone i think you do get a,little less for your money with this new,device,around back this is where youll see,more of the actual redesign,we get a totally new look the material,is much of the same its still,all plastic across the back at least the,frame of the phone to me though,feels like metal its thick its sturdy,and it gives the device,quite a bit of weight and honestly the,rear plastic housing looks,kind of nice as it is it has almost a,metal-like,look with a silver finish and slight,shine theres even this criss-cross,pattern with a tiny bit of texture,and to me this is a way better finish,than the glossy plastic we got on,motorola phones last year,all in all the way i see it the device,gives off a much more premium vibe,and at a glance it seems easy to even,mistake it for high-end materials,taking a look around youll see we also,get a sim nsd card tray,on the left side on the right the usual,volume buttons,and the power button which now doubles,as the fingerprint sensor,up top the headphone jack is still here,down below youll find the usbc,charging port and speaker around back a,brand new camera setup which ill go,more in depth with in a minute and up,front the selfie camera and earpiece,now unfortunately that earpiece this,year does not,double as a secondary speaker for stereo,sound we had that on last years phone,but motorola just dropped the dual,stereo speaker setup,on this phone definitely a huge bummer,and this is just,another one of those downgrades that i,mentioned about this phone heres a,quick audio sample of the single,downward firing speaker so you can get,an idea of what that sounds like,with the fingerprint sensor this i think,actually is another positive change,this side mounted power button,combination is great,its comfortable solid placement its,easy to find its quick,i havent had a single issue with it at,this point and nowadays,im just glad its still here its super,useful and like i said definitely,a positive change moving it from the,rear of the phone in addition to that,this phone also has face unlock as a,secondary method,something motorola sort of brought back,this year on some of their phones and to,me this is plenty fast as well,so solid unlocking methods here with,whichever one you end up utilizing,now inside this new moto g power,unfortunately doesnt get the noticeable,upgrades that maybe we had hoped for and,there are a couple of other important,things,to mention the battery inside this thing,is still the same,5 000 milliamp capacity powerhouse that,gives this device,its power name distinction and this i,think is still great,its the kind of phone that can last,maybe a day and a half or more,on a single charge under normal use and,while it might make the phone,feel a little beefier in the hand i,think thats a fine trade-off,getting such great battery life on a,phone at this price point has been,one of the main reasons why its such a,popular device and actually,with slightly faster 15 watt charging,speed support now,you could make the argument that theres,even a bit of an upgrade here,overall theres nothing that makes this,phone any less,of the long lasting battery beast it was,last year so thats great to see,powering this new phone now though is,the qualcomm snapdragon,662 chipset which although in number,it appears lower than last years 665,its technically,a newer chipset and more or less of the,same caliper,the real questionable move though is,this phone now starts at just,32 gigabytes of built-in storage and,three gigabytes of ram for that 199,dollar price point,for 249 you get 64 gigabytes of storage,and,four gigs of ram and thats exactly the,same as last year,so no real big upgrades with the,internals and,in fact we even got a cheaper less,capable option,which is a little strange i think also,this new phone still ships with android,10.,kind of surprising but i guess out of,all the android oems,motorola hasnt exactly been known for,such timely updates,still i think this phone feels pretty,good o

Moto G Power (2022) vs Moto G Power (2021) – Who Will Win?
whats going on everyone this is kevin,here and in this video were gonna be,comparing the motorola moto g power 2022,versus the motorola moto g power 2021,now as the name does imply the 2022,model is the successor to the 2021 model,however the 2021 model still is being,offered factory unlocked and you can,still find it at the various carriers,now at the time of me recording this,video the moto g power 2022 is only,available at metro by t-mobile however,im sure as time goes on this phone will,make its way over to other carriers as,well in addition to being offered,factory unlocked now of course in this,video we will be going over the various,differences between these two devices,but in many ways the moto g power 2022,is just a slight refresh from the 2021,model now there are some pretty major,differences when it comes to the visual,design of the two phones especially the,camera module placement and design of,that and the materials used but as far,as different features go were not,really getting too many extra features,with the 2022 model compared to last,years phone theres also a few things,in the successor model of the device,that are a downgrade from the 2021 model,now starting off with the display now,with the moto g power 2022 were getting,a 6.5 inch display compared to a 6.6,inch display with the moto g power 2021,so not a huge difference there but the,display on the previous model is,slightly larger you can see though when,holding them up side by side here its,not really much of a noticeable,difference but the bottom bezel on the,2022 model is a little bit bigger,compared to the moto g power 2021. now,up top here both devices do feature a,hole punch for the front-facing camera,with that hole punch being centered on,the 2022 model compared to it being in,the upper left for the 2021 model now,with both of these devices the,front-facing camera is 8 megapixels now,as far as the display technology goes,with both phones were getting ips lcd,displays and theyre both 720p however,one major difference is that with the,moto g power 2022 were getting a 90,hertz display compared to a 60 hertz,display with the 2021 model and it does,give things a little bit more of a,premium feel due to it being a higher,refresh rate but its kind of a marginal,benefit compared to the 2021 model now,as far as ppi goes were getting a ppi,of 270 with the 2022 model versus 266,with the 2021 model now with both,devices we are getting 20 by 9 aspect,ratios so a taller but narrower form,factor compared to other smartphones,that weve seen in the past and the,screen to body ratio is 79.7 percent,with the 2022 model compared to 83.8,percent with the 2021 model so it is a,little bit better here with this device,and when looking at the two phones it is,a little bit obvious again since the,bottom bezel for example is a bit larger,with the moto g power 20 22. now as far,as internal storage goes with the moto g,power 2022 the metro model of the phone,does come with 64 gigabytes of internal,storage now im not sure if there will,be a 32 gigabyte model of the device in,the future i certainly hope not and then,with the moto g power 2021 the carrier,versions of the device come with 32,gigabytes of internal storage but if you,do buy this device factory unlocked,there is an option to get it with 64,gigabytes of internal storage and then,both of these devices do feature micro,sd card expansion so that is a great way,to kind of free up the storage on the,phones by offloading some of your photos,and videos onto that micro sd card now,both of these phones do feature,fingerprint sensors however with the,moto g power 2022 it is on the back of,the phone compared to with the moto g,power 2021 it is on the power button now,i do personally prefer having it on the,power button however its not a total,deal breaker either by having it on the,back of the phone i feel like both,placements are pretty convenient but my,personal preference is having it on the,power button now the good news though is,that with both phones the fingerprint,sensors are decently fast and accurate,so well give it a try first with the,moto g power 2022,there we go one more time,and then now for the moto g power 2021,there we go,very quick and honestly i feel like the,fingerprint sensor with the 2021 model,is a little bit faster but again the,differences between the two are not too,extreme and in general im at least glad,that they both do have fingerprint,sensors at least work well enough,another awesome thing about these,devices as well is they do both support,face unlock so i do appreciate that we,do have multiple methods for accessing,the phone now as far as the cameras go,for both phones they do both feature,triple camera setups and for the most,part the various features that youre,getting are also very similar however,with the moto g power 2022 were getting,a 50 megapixel main camera a 2 megapixel,depth sensing camera any 2 megapixel,macro camera compared to the moto g,power 2021 which has a 48 megapixel main,camera a 2 megapixel depth sensing,camera and a 2 megapixel macro camera so,essentially the only difference when it,comes to the cameras is that youre,getting two less megapixels with the,2021 model with the main camera compared,to the 2022 model now both of these,devices do feature portrait mode for,both the front and rear cameras which is,definitely very well appreciated now as,far as portrait mode goes both of these,phones do have that feature for both the,front and rear cameras which is,definitely a really good thing now,heres how things look through the main,cameras on both devices,then from here we can switch over to the,macro cameras and again with the macro,camera you can get very close up here,and have things be nice and crisp and,clear then from here we can switch,around to the front-facing cameras in,both phones and theres me,we can then go over to the menu,and then access portrait mode and you,can see we have those nice blurred out,backgrounds and then heres some of the,other camera features and it looks like,one difference between the two devices,is that with the moto g power 20 22 we,are getting dual capture for both photos,and videos which means that you can take,an image using both the front and rear,cameras at the same time but,unfortunately we dont have that feature,here with the moto g power 2021. now as,far as ram and processor go with the,moto g power 2022 were getting four,gigabytes of ram compared to the moto g,power 2021 where the 32 gigabyte model,has three gigabytes of ram and the 64,gigabyte model has four gigabytes of ram,and then as far as the processors go,with the moto g power 2022 we have the,mediatek helio g37 compared to the,qualcomm snapdragon 662 with the moto g,powered 2021. now i did run a geekbench,5 benchmark test with both phones here,and here are the results from that test,and you can see with the moto g power,2022 we do have a pretty significant,reduction when it comes to performance,scores compared to the 2021 predecessor,model now youd think that going from,the older model of a phone to the newer,model of the phone you would have a more,powerful processor and in general get,better performance but unfortunately,thats not really the case here and you,can see the scores really arent even,close the moto g power 2021 certainly is,a lot more powerful than the moto g,power 2022 now what i recommend doing is,running this test on your current phone,and then comparing your scores to these,scores to get a better idea of how both,of these devices compare with what you,currently have now as far as video,recording goes it does max out at 1080p,with both of these phones and then both,devices do feature 5 000 milliamp hour,internal batteries so by having such a,large battery with both of these devices,you definitely will be getting at least,a day if not two days of battery life,now unfortunately neither of these,devices do feature nfc so if you do like,to make mobile contactless payments,which is so
