Range Rover Evoque SUV 2020 in-depth review on and off-road! | carwow reviews

this is the new Range Rover Evoque and,its a little bit like some posh, stiletto shoes because yeah its super, sexy and women love them and like these, shoes though this car is quite practical,I now get onto that in a minute, now if you consider this kind of car you, probably also looking at the Audi q3 the,Volvo XC 40 and the BMW x1 and this, evoke its a little bit more expensive, than those it starts from 31 and a half, thousand pounds but you can save an,average of 500 pounds on one three car, while now if you want to check that, youll pay the right price on new car, click on the pop-up banner just up there,in the top right hand corner of the, screen or follow the link below the, video or just google car way to check, out the best prices you can get from a,trusted dealers now know what youre, thinking this is supposed to be the, nouveau but it looks a lot like the old, evoke but believe me all the body panels, are new in fact the only thing thats, carried over from the old evoke and the, door hinges this actually has a lot of,the design elements from the velocity, got sleek taillights and headlights and, look poppy outtie door handles as well, and I think this is a really smart, looking car just look support doesnt it,especially if you have the bigger wheels, lesser models has smaller wheels and, they dont look quite so cool but still, overall its a sleek and stylish SUV,thing continues on the inside as well it,really is quite a simple design in here, and I like it,theres not too much clutter at all you, just got this nice clean central console, like the sloping effect of the dash and, generally the material quality is good,in here however there are a few bits and, pieces which arent so great I mean look,at the the build quality hes just not, that brilliant is in the stitchings all,a bit higgledy-piggledy as well anyway, there are some bits a basis I do really, like in here for instance this kind of,gloss effect here and here and the, infotainment system also youve got some,up here as well and actually the seating, position in this car is pretty good so,youve got plenty of adjustment in the, steering wheel, look at that its quite a lot and in the, drivers seat as well so it does really, matter whether youre tall or short and, then those are the features as well yeah, this all feels quite expensive this, visor it does a good job, locking out the Sun and of course, theres the all-important vanity mirror, the nice little LED light thats very, bright so you can do your makeup in,there if you want to now though we need,to talk about this cause equipment list, the entry-level car has a basic 10 inch, touch screen front and rear parking, sensors and a reversing camera it also, has normal cruise control with Auto, emergency city braking the next trim, level up is the s and it has an upgraded, infotainment system which has a faster, processor Wi-Fi hotspot satellite, navigation included an apple carplay and, android auto it also has leather, interior rather than fabric and you get,10-way electrically operated front seats, which are also heated theres traffic, sign recognition – and an adaptive speed, limiter the SE model gets an upgraded,LED headlights with high-beam assist, pulsating indicators and some 20 inch, alloy wheels it also gets a Herod, tailgate theres also a secondary touch, screen for controlling the climate, control and the heated seats plus a full, digital drivers display and if you ask,me the AC is the pick of the range, because its the perfect balance between, equipment and cost however if youve got, money to burn why not just get the HSE,because it gets stuff like a Meridian, sound system it also gets fully, automatic for cruise control so it uses,a radar to keep you safe distance from, the car in front and it wont, automatically steer to keep you in Lane, but the best upgrade is the clear sight, rearview mirrors at the flick of a,switch the mirror turns into a digital, screen which displays it image from a,rear-view camera now on top of all that, you can upgrade to the odd dynamic pack, which add some styling upgrades so here,on the outside you get some different, bumper designs with air intakes there, and movers in the bonnet and some, upgraded our world designs whereas, otherwise the car looks just a little, bit more plain on the inside our dynamic, adds some paddle shifters for the, automatic gearbox we also get Alcantara, dock headlining, aluminium pedals and aluminium kick, plate OOP anyway enough about specs, lets continue with the,you seeing as this guys the HSE it has,the top-of-the-range infotainment system, and its generally okay to use art the, graphics are quite sharp,I like the screen as well but it depends, with the lights as it can be a little, bit awkward to use because sometimes you,can get too much glare in it however, its not the fastest to respond so,sometimes youre left waiting for it to,do stuff and it can be a bit jerky the,old graphics so its not the best out, there but its by no means the worst, either the digital drivers display is,nice and clear how have you doing it on,all models one thing that I do struggle, with are the touch controls because they, are touch sensitive but also you have to,press them so youre not sure what is,the right way to control it yes you can, look at different menus and scroll, through stuff thats quite easy when, youre driving along but once again its, good but by no means the best out there,I think the digital drivers display only, infotainment system in the ID q3 its, slightly better now if you want to see,my fault in depth video review of the ID,q3 just click up down the pull that down,in the top right hand corner of the, screen and you can watch that lets move,on to practicality so practicality is,actually pretty good in this car huge, door bins knock Ive got a couple of,bottles in there youve also got a fair, amount storage under here and then you, have USB input there theres two of them,so thats handy and a twelve volt socket,as well and – here are your cup holders, which is good and theyre not too deep,in the not too shallow so you can, actually hold bottles and smaller coffee, cups in there with no problem at all but,it isnt knowing that you have to remove, this panel is it beyond the wit of,people at Land Rover to be able to make,a sliding cover but now we just have to,put up with that and as you know for, that also you got some more storage down, here which is quite useful as well so,you can hide things outside so maybe I,will put my wallet there and then, completely forget about it and drive, home and think when its my wallet, anyway lets move into the back of the, cards talk about practicality there so,the rear doors they dont open mega wide, but theyre open wide enough so that, does help when youre trying to maneuver,a child seen here you do have liftoff, eyes fixed anchor points and theyre, easy to get to but once again you might, lose those covers in terms of rear space, now this was not a strong point in the, older VOC it was quite cramped in the, back but this car is the same size on,the outside but its actually, longer between the front and the back, wheels so you get more rear knee room, and actually look at this its pretty, bloomin good this seat its in my usual, driving position Ive got loads of room, whats not so good though is under seat, foot space so you cant really stretch, out underneath head rooms actually, pretty decent look at that weve got the, glass roof on this car which is a really, nice upgrade and he doesnt eat into, head space too much so people over 64,even with the roof there will be fine, now one of the ways that Land Rover has, achieved this is by making the seats in,about quite low if you look at this, theres quite a bit of angle between my,knees and my thigh so I feel like Im,squatting a bit its not the most, comfortable in the end up with not that, much under thigh support which can be a,bit of a pain on a longer journey so,some you win some you lose in terms of,kind of three in the back at once well, there is a hump in the floor but its,not too bad so there is a decent amount,of ro

Range Rover Evoque SUV 2018 review | Mat Watson Reviews

the Range Rover Evoque now this is a,really capable off-road er,but really its a fashion statement car, people buy it for the image and to keep,it looking fresh its been given a,midlife makeover so its got some, revised bumpers and some all-new,optional LED headlamps but this has to,be one of the most subtle facelift of,the fashion world I think you know what,I mean anyway inside how the Evoque is,absolutely lovely its simple its, stylish though if you have a bit of a,feel around you notice the materials, arent quite as plush is in the Mercedes,or a BMW cubby space is there okay but, once again rivals do do it slightly, better currently faultless for equipment, though so this is the SE Tech model and,its got pretty much all you need youve, got parking sensors you got these lovely, sports seats which are electrically, operated and theyre heated and you also, get satellite navigation now the Evoque, gets Land Rovers new infotainment system, and this is actually the upgraded one, with the Meridian sound system and it,sounds absolutely brilliant Im not so,impressed with the actual infotainment, system itself its a touchscreen and,its still just a little bit clunky its,not as good as those that youll find, once again in BMW or Mercedes now for,our full review of the infotainment, system click on the top right hand, corner of the screen on the card for an,in-depth review of it and to get another, look around the cabin but on the whole, its bloomin lovely in the front of the,Evoque as for the back though well mmm,its not quite so good in this respect, now the problem is Im 5 foot 11 thats,in my usual driving position and knee, room is pretty tight for this kind of,SUV off-roader vehicle and anyone over 6,foot they could have their knees cramped,up against there also the foot wells, are really small as well the back rests, are quite upright see they want to go,too far in the back the windows are, small so you really do need that glass, roof otherwise it feels dark and dingy,in here and its not good with three in,the back at all and you can see what I,know by clicking the top right hand, corner of the screen on the card for our,in-depth practicality review youll also,be able to see how easy it is to fit a,child seat in the back and just what you,can squeeze into the boot which probably, isnt quite as much as youd imagine, because the evokes capacity is quite a,bit down on that, bmw x3 actually the boot space is less, than your find on a BMW x1 and to remove, the parcel shelf and unfortunately I,will just have to put it on the floor, because nowhere clever in the car to,leave it then that issue I have not, major one but youre not there youll, notice when you fold the seats down they, stick up slightly which does hamper the, practicality somewhat on the flip side, you do get no load lift its a little, bit of underfloor storage there theres,a twelve volt socket here and a couple,of tire down hooks there here actually, thats free a courier I think these, features are pretty common but there are, some on the Evoque which are more unique, the lights illuminate the pavement at,night with a cool invoke graphic the,sat-nav has an off-road function in case, you dont wanna go somewhere by a normal,Road you can open the hands-free,tailgate system from the side of the car,so you dont have to walk around song at,the fastest though theres two types of,four-wheel drive system available one, thats permanent another one which saves, fuel by only sending power to the rear, wheels when the front start to slip you,can get the car with a wading deck, monitor which will be able to tell if,that thing you think is a stream is,actually a river but not everything, about the Evoque is quite so clever the,r8 windscreen is that you dont really, feel the benefit if you have that, panoramic roof cause it seems to be,behind you when you release the seatbelt,it casually gets this trim and scratches,it blind drivers dont exactly have the, best reputation for reliability,oh yeah the optional heads-up display, emits a weird green light which fills, the coming at night the auto tailgate, will open but not close with the key, while that may do your head in there is,one way the Evoque leads the field its, better in the mud than its rivals mainly, due to its proper off-road routes and,the fact that its got this clever,Terrain Response system which does it,all electronically he might be wondering, why Im not actually show you that well, the fact of the matter is most people, buying Evoque will never go off-road and, actually play it a little secret this, its the front-wheel drive model no,biggie,a non 4×4 Range Rover its sacrilege, also its only got the lower powered, version of Land Rovers new 2-liter,diesel engine which i think is a very, good engine by the way and is fast, enough and it gives good economy Land,Rover says 65 miles per gallon the trick, computer says 51 miles per gallon from a,Range Rover thats actually pretty good,Im impressed with that this cars also, the manual and I quite like the shift in,it that most people probably want the, automatics its just a little bit easier,to drive in town though that 9 speed, automatic because its got so many, ratios sometimes it can get a little bit, confused when you put your foot down and,its like I dont know I dont know, which gears I go Ive got too many yard, own third fourth and then it kind of,youve missed the gap in the traffic to,drive the Evoque feels a little bit like,a sports car thats been jacked up,rather than a traditional off-roader,thats partly because of the steering, which is so shot you just turn the wheel,a bit it suddenly changing direction and, that can actually make it feel a little, bit flighty when youre driving at speed,on the motorway on the whole though it,handles very well it doesnt have the, outright grip of a BMW x3 but it doesnt, roll too much and the suspension isnt,so firm that its uncomfortable a lot of,people will actually drive the Evoque in,turn its its pretty good for that, obviously cuz youre SATA pie one of the, problems that you have though is this, pillar creates a massive blind spot so,when your junctions you have to look, round it and the rear window is tiny and,you can actually see for yourself by,clicking on the top right hand corner of,the screen on the card to watch our 360,degree video another thing you should be,aware of is that speed it can be quite, noisy to get a lot of wind whistle off,the wing mirrors, overall then what do I think the Range,Rover Evoque, well its infotainment system is a little, bit clunky and for an SUV its actually, not that practical still it looks really, stylish and its good fun to drive now,for more information on this car to find, out the best deal you can get click on,the car to go to car y co uk thanks for, watching click over there for our group, test video between the Range Rover,Evoque the bmw x3 and the Mercedes GLC,and if you enjoyed this video please, like it share it and subscribe to our,Channel now did you know that ex Spice,Girl Victoria Beckham was actually, involved in the launch of the original, evoke

Range Rover Evoque 2020 – Baby Range Rover (ENG) – Test Drive and Review

this is the new Range Rover Evoque it,looks like a miniature Villar which is a,good thing in my book and now lets take,it for a drive this is the second time I,get to drive this very car a couple of,months ago I was at a brief polish press, launch event but there was no time or,weather to film so I just made a list of,first impressions which I shall now, confront having spent more time with the,Evoque,at the beginning I found it difficult to,get myself comfortable in the Evoque,Range Rover Evoque is one of those cars, where the headrest is tilted front too, much and there is no way to adjust it so,I spent some time you know playing with, the seat settings and with the steering, wheel settings and finally I found a,very comfortable driving position which,I instantly stored so as not to lose it,and after spending many hours driving, this car on the road on the drivers, seat and in the passenger seat,I think these seats are very comfortable, bear in mind these are the optional, seats with 16-way adjustment the, steering wheel is huge,at least it looks large for comparison I,measured a somewhat chunkier Lexus RC,steering wheel Evoque steering wheel has, only 2 centimeters bigger diameter but,it looks much larger this test car has,the optional heating which is always, nice but I dont like the aluminium halo, which may look interesting but its also, very cold, there is a lot of piano black throughout, the cockpit so youre going to be,leaving a lot of fingerprints and in due, time all this thing is gonna get, scratched however inside the Evoque you, feel that this car is premium you may, call this the baby Range Rover but there,is nothing entry-level about the finish,at least compared to the competition, well get to the competition later by,the way the glovebox is average size and,so is storage under the armrest also the, armrest slams on the USB cable if you, want to have the phone outside I know, the driver shouldnt but passengers may, want to play with their phones,by the way USB ports in the back are a,part of an optional power base pack, which hasnt been specified in this car,I like Range Rovers new infotainment, system which debuted in the valar Ill,tell you later how it works but now, briefly about this stuff that doesnt, work and that Android auto and sometimes,Bluetooth or bluetooth streaming it just, crashes and it came back after I,restarted the car but it happens once in,a while, the first time I drove the Evoque I had,the feeling that 249 horsepower motor is,somewhat muffled now I know the good, stuff is in the middle of the Rev band, there is no point revving the engine, high but theres also little happening, down low its better to let the gearbox, kick down this unfortunately may be,jerky, perhaps its got something to do with, the mild hybrid system Range Rover now, offers there is little in the press, materials about the MH evey except for,the fact that its a 48 volt system and, that in most of the cases it should help, improve fuel economy and yeah thats, pretty much it during normal driving, when you lift off the accelerator the, kinetic energy is recuperated and stored,in batteries which are down here, somewhere and when you press the, accelerator the stored energy is used to,improve the cars flexibility improve, the acceleration ever so slightly its, also used to power the onboard, electrical systems when the engine shuts, off, below 17 km/h when you gently press the, brake and the engine shuts off and uses, recuperated energy let go of the brake, and the engine turns back on the problem,is that the engine can shut off just, before I need to give it a welly like, when rolling to a junction and then, taking off this also happens when the, indicator is turned on and the wheels, are already turned left or right so,theoretically the system should know I,may need to step on it the M HEV cuts,co2 emissions by up to 8 grams per, kilometer and improves fuel efficiency,by up to 6% it sounds great until you, compare it with the first gen folk its, worth mentioning that 1st and 2nd,generation if folks are almost the same, size the length hasnt changed but the,new model is slightly wider and has, longer wheelbase this means there is,more room inside thanks to the chunky, looks the Evoque always looked to me,larger than it really is I wanted to,compare it to BMW x3 but it turns out, into the size of outi q3 BMW x1 Jaguar,EPAs mercedes-benz GLA or Volvo XC 40,Range Rover is shorter than the lot but, also slightly wider and a lot heavier I,suppose its partly due to the advanced,all-wheel drive system which separates, the Evoque from other small SUVs,[Music],if for whatever reason someone would, like to take the Evoque off-road the car, will cope although I would not expect, much from the Michelin Pilot Sports when, the going gets tough that said the car, coped alright on wet grass, nevermind the Evoque is heavier than the, competition but the 1800 plus kilogram, car is also around 70 kilograms heavier, than the model it replaces it also uses, more fuel and emits more co2 than the,Marquand evoke according to any DC it,uses almost 8 liters per 100 kilometers,in the combined cycle and according to W,LTP it uses more than 9 litres per 100,kilometers thats about 26 us and 31,Imperial mpg the WL TP result is,realistic if one really applies oneself, the steering is generally unobtrusive, the Evoque goes where I pointed however, the steering rack is clearly slower than, that in the more sporty Road oriented, competitors I can feel the evoke is,clearly oriented for off-road driving, where the slow rack is more advantageous,so I suggest you do not specify the, optional adaptive dampers which will not, make this car particularly more sporty, but they will make a lot of unpleasant, thumping noises like adaptive dampers, tend to do,otherwise they VOC is a pleasant, comfortable car to roll around the city, and to cover long distances, soundproofing is surprisingly good for, this massive front possibly the slanted, windscreen helps reduce wind noise,it also helps create a huge blind spot,as the a pillar aligns with the side, mirror just like in the Mazda 3 but, unlike in the Mazda 3 rear visibility in,Dave Oak is excellent, motoring around town is easy thanks to,the 360-degree camera but thats just, one of many available views my favorite,is the transparent bonnet this will help, you avoid curbing those 20 inch alloys, which by the way are standard on the our, dynamic HSE trim its a shame it takes, ages for the system to load on startup, when you start the car so for a good 20,30 seconds all you get is a reversing, camera automatic parking system finds, parking spots quickly and parks quickly,- but it leaves too much space on the, inside which you can see in this shot a,human driver would not park a car, sticking out like this theres also the, optional clear side rearview mirror a,display showing you an image from a,camera which is mounted on the roof its, like in the Toyota rav4 I reviewed, recently and Ive got a question for you,how often do you load your car up to the, roof so you have to use only the side, mirrors and how often is that a problem,I cant recall when was the last time I,loaded my car up to the roof but I,remember driving vans a couple of times, and they had only side mirrors and that, was not a problem for me I think that, mirror is something that nobody asked, for somebody designed it and started, pushing it into the cars but nobody, actually needs it if you do let me know,in the comments below,Ill go back to the infotainment for a,minute I really like it and it consists,of three screens so there are the, configurable virtual dials in front of,the driver and two displays on the, center console the top one is for your, general settings sat-nav multimedia, phone stuff like that and the lower one,is for things like settings of the, climate heated ventilated seats or maybe, the car whether you wanted to put it in,automatic mode or some off-road modes, whatever this is down here I also like, that Range Rover left these physical, knobs and these physical knobs are, multifunction

Is the SMALLEST Range Rover worth the luxury price tag? | 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Review

weve got an interesting drive today its from  land rover the range rover evoke now we last  ,tested this three years ago that was in 2019 when  it was brand new for 2020. this is the second gen  ,evoque its basically the same as it was for 2022  which means you get those famous words emblazoned  ,on the hood it is the smallest and most affordable  way to spell range rover subcompact suvs are  ,very easy to park and very hard to justify buying  brand new space and amenities come at a premium if  ,youre going luxury like this car you better have  money so lets see what this base evoke can do  ,with a few options at 55 grand the evoque is one  of the sharpest looking suvs that land rover makes  ,and its one of the least popular models land  rover sells in america in 2021 it was second  ,to last youd think the evoke would be  a bestseller since it starts at 45 000  ,right automakers sell more copies of their smaller  cheaper cars than their larger expensive cars but  ,not land rover the range over sport starts at 71  grand and it outsells the evoque by three to one  ,what about the full-size range rover that queen  elizabeth drives herself and costs deep into the  ,100s still beats the evoke at more than two to  one its not baffling range rover customers are  ,willing to pay because the brand has a lot of  cachet right theyll pay almost anything and  ,in this car well you dont get a whole lot of car  its more than a foot shorter than a honda civic  ,this is like a standard room at the plaza hotel  in new york youre paying a lot for not a lot  ,of space but you are getting the amenities  particularly the style even in this boring  ,gray its flat i wouldnt recommend it but this  car still looks hot it looked hot what was it  ,10 years ago this car came out when i first drove  it now its no longer available as a convertible  ,or a two-door but the evoque has as really well  its one of those really striking designs you know  ,this is a range rover even if its the smallest  one the front got the really thin lights got these  ,oversized 20-inch wheels on here big bulging  fenders i love these retractable door handles  ,those look fantastic especially the way the roof  goes all the way down and away the shoulder line  ,comes down toward the front theyre kind of moving  like this so it gives this kind of like a bulldog  ,kind of racer stance you know its a truck like  profile but it never feels like it entirely this  ,is the r-dynamic trim which adds bronze accents  all over and it has a new front bumper from the  ,front to the side to the back youll always  recognize and evoke maybe the back looks even  ,nicer its just sharp especially these tail lights  they have this mirror-like effect which adds a lot  ,of depth and these retractable door handles they  pop out when you unlock it and theyre flush to  ,the body when its locked really nice you dont  get a lot of utility though its 8.3 inches of  ,total clearance thats less than most subarus  and you dont get a ton of cargo space either  ,its a nice little hatch its finally powered  as standard for 2022 the cargo space average  ,for the sub-compact class 21 cubic feet  behind the seats and 50 when theyre folded, theres more standard features for 2022 heated  front seats proximity key thats nice and a  ,wireless device charger behind this dash but the  evoke has only gotten pricier over the years and  ,ive had some new loaner evokes my land rover  dealer that felt a lot more well equipped for  ,the money this ones pretty base the steering  column is manual forget any seat memory theres  ,ambient darkness not lighting a single camera not  360. and forget about semi-automated driving this  ,evoke doesnt have adaptive crews thats standard  on cars costing 25 grand this one is almost 55.  ,on our 2020 evoque that car cost a few thousand  more than this one but looked a whole lot prettier  ,inside the materials are generally good this is  not the full leather interior so you dont have  ,any more leather on the dash or the doors thats a  bit rougher but overall the fit and finish is high  ,quality the evoke has two different dashboard  designs depending on how much money you spend  ,its not obvious at first since when the car is  off its all dark and really slick then when you  ,turn the car on well theres no bright screen  below here its all just touch sensitive buttons  ,that seem to be scattered all over the place seems  a bit like wasted space but there is a heated  ,windshield thats something you wont find almost  any new car and these dials are multi-function  ,you got the air temperature here press it for  seat heating or cooling if thats equipped and  ,some more hidden features check that out  little rings for the fan and the driving  ,modes i was having trouble finding the driving  modes theyre right here theyre hidden until  ,theyre lit so its kind of a neat design a  little complex to use but the functionality  ,is there i like the way this aluminum trim looks  surrounding the gear selector but it also seems  ,like they could have used this for more buttons  say some seek buttons for the radio or maybe  ,the auto hold feature for the brakes theyre  both accessible only from the touch screen  ,and this main screen it has a bezel around it  where on the loaded evokes you actually get a  ,screen thats flush with the dash and it looks  even nicer let me get to the good part land rover  ,has software that works for the first time in  14 years that ive been driving these vehicles  ,it actually doesnt break pivi pro is what jaguar  landover calls its newest infotainment system  ,and it actually is fast its easy to use and most  everything seems to work and fits in the proper  ,place i like all these graphics theyre sharp you  can choose to have apps as tiled things right here  ,or you can actually press and hold move things  around its more customizable than it ever was and  ,theres some neat little apps on here slope assist  will show you the degrees that youre traveling up  ,and down how the axles look thats kind of fun you  also have energy impact where you can actually see  ,how the heated windshield and other accessories  are drawing from the battery and from your fuel  ,efficiency itll rate your driving style and  even give you suggestions kind of like a teacher  ,i dont really like being told what to do though  so i would fail that part of the test here but  ,the nav the nav has some really great features now  especially the pois its super easy to just search  ,the 4g internet is fast and boom here you go  the internet is great on this car and if you  ,dont want to use the factory nav apple carplay is  wireless its standard so is wireless android auto  ,on the base of oaks like this theres analog  gauges but theyre cut and kind of sliced by this  ,central display thats all right because you still  get a lot of functionality here i can see driver  ,assistance i can see my speedometer everything up  from a glance its a little confusing at first but  ,its easy to use with this d-pad once you get used  to it i still think though that the full digital  ,display is worth the extra upgrade the rear seat  is for short trips only theres not a lot of space  ,its pretty tight back here this is where my seat  was when i was sitting here im 5 11 and i dont  ,really want to sit back here for too long and the  visibility is also poor but you knew that because  ,this car looks so darn good on the outside as the  baby in the range rover family the evoke is not  ,going to go off-road like all the other larger  rovers can theres no low-range transfer case  ,theres not as many drive modes theres no air  suspension that lifts it so youre limited and  ,thats the whole point of this car its a street  rover but there are some nice things that you  ,can use in the driving modes for traction control  specifically low traction launch which i will try  ,now Range Rover Evoque SUV 2013 review – Carbuyer

crossover vehicles are currently all the, rage but none of them as desirable as,the new Range Rover Evoque it really is,the car of the moment as with all, crossovers the Evoque is designed to,give you the best of both worlds for, instance is rakish bodywork is as,head-turning as any sports you play, however the jacks up ride height means, that you dont have to stoop down to get,in if I just scooch across here youll, see theres plenty of room for adults, got decent knee room and head rooms very, good you can actually fit three abreast, here no problem at all if you do buy, this car I have to say you must get the, panoramic glass sunroof it floods the, interior with light and creates an airy, feel that enables you to fully, appreciate the contemporary design, quality feel and reassuring solidity the, evokes classic cabin you can get the, evoke with some really cool options such,as this dual view screen what it does it,allows the driver to see all his, information and stuff yet the passenger, gets a completely different image from, where theyre sitting so they can, actually go along were watching your,DVD while youre happy driving and not, being disturbed by anything on the, screen, thats your practicality well we need to,talk about it so yes the glovebox is,pretty large thats what I put my jumper, theres a couple of cup holders theyre, decent central curb eight and the rather, important can you fit a bottle in the, side door bin test yeah well you can, while most owners arent likely to take, their evokes further off-road than the, overflow carpark at the races it does, still have the all-terrain capability, youd expect from a Range Rover the, family resemblance also continues on,road,[Music],the Evoque is also very much like a,Range Rover in terms of comforts you can,go four miles in this thing without any, back problems and so on you can fly over, speed ups as if theyre not there and, theres various points for you to rest, your arms on so you can kind of just, drive along like that one-handed its, also supremely quiet in here anything,Ive noticed so far is a little bit of,wind whistle of the wing mirrors a high, speed and of course you get that, imperious driving position however, unlike a normal range over which you sit,on in your VOC you kind of sit in it it,actually feels like a sports car, anyone thats raised up on stilts also, and like the normal range rover you can,get a two-wheel drive version of the,Evoque which will return 57 miles per, gallon but the most unraised Rover thing, about this car is how it handles I mean,it goes round corners so much better, than any other Land Rover it really is,genuine good fun on a twisty road such,as this I mean dare I say it feel sporty, however there is a slight trade off for, that firm suspension because the ride, can sometimes fill it a little bit, jiggly and I can feel it personally my,bamboo joking about a bit another thing,I want to complain about is the back, window because its so small its a bit, like looking through a letterbox and Id,say go for one of the manual gearboxes, because this automatic can be a little, bit sluggish to respond and its like it,cant quite make up its mind what Gary, wants to be in its light will be,efficient though maybe fourth will be,better, lets try fifth again its just like, come on just decide,Id also avoid this boring blue paint, because quite frankly doesnt do the, cars stunning design justice and then, theres the boot its not small but if,you have two young children and all the, paraphernalia that goes with them youll,be better off with a Volvo xc60 really, though all this is its just nitpicking, because this is the car that can do it,all it can go off-road its great,on-road its got a desirable badge its, safe its economical as well I mean the, list goes on Im just gonna sum it up by,saying its brilliant,[Music]

2022 Range Rover Evoque | The Mini Velar

whats up internet world and welcome, back to the channel today i bring you,the 2022 range rover evoque,[Music],[Music],huh,[Music],this design is so popular with the, ladies that in 2014 a chinese company, named land wind basically copied the, exact evoke shape and then they went to,court and then they lost you see land, rover was pissed they were like how can,you copy design thats so popular from,us bring it out there and charge one, third of the price, and then go to court in china and think, youre gonna win,but then four years later they did and, they did win they actually stopped a,company from producing the exact replica,to this evoque but back to north, american soil you can get two engine, variants both are coupled with a nine, speed transmission one makes 246,horsepower and the other makes 296,horsepower attached with a 48 volt, hybrid that makes a whopping 103,pound-feet of torque yes they are both,4-cylinder 2-liter turbo motors,[Music],so in the range rover evoke ready to,evoke my senses,0-60 in seven seconds, the feeling in this thing feels pretty, good it feels pretty premium even though,it is the base evoke i mean not exactly, its base but that looks pretty well, its not exactly the base evoke but its,the basis, range rover you could buy, what does that feel like what does that, drive like well for starters ive got, this really annoying creek that happens, over here kind of like that stinger we,had last year its the only car i,remember the creaking and it was like in,my ear,and its right here give it to a dealer, maybe theyll fix it,but quality feels really and looks very, prestigious and clean and nice and range, roverish so im im feeling that vibe, outside looks great in the front great,in the back middle is funny, power, let me show you again, delay, lets stop there, the start and stop system is poor, when i come to a stop sign it shuts off,i put my foot in the gas again it takes, about a second to start up,annoying, performance, its decent could use the more bigger, powerful engine, but its fine for what it is i think if,youre not a speed freak and youre just, zipping around town its plenty i,wouldnt really complain about that, but i will say people will buy it,because the height you sit pretty high,in here you feel sort of,above the road you dont sit low at all,you sit high and you, sort of sit, refined and sit just like a range rover, would you know, caution luxurious,so because of its short wheelbase this,is one of its best attributes and thats, handling this thing handles very well, the suspension is nice and firm brakes, are good no complaints there as i said, but the steering is good now in the, front it does have a valar-esque design, because its pretty much as i mentioned, exactly the same but it does check the,box that a car and funny will look in,their rearview mirror and realize this,is a range rover because you cant tell, the difference unless of course you look,at the side but regardless it does have, the signature drls and theyre nice and, pretty it does have this nice black, grille and the range rover in black, along with the radar hidden right here i,think this should center it but thats, just my opinion now moving on the side, here this is called carpathian gray now,my favorite color in range rovers are, black but it does have some black, accents including these 20 inch wheels, and behind that you have nice red brake, calipers in this bronze edition now it,does have a color right here and youre, probably wondering what color that is,well that is corinthian bronze and it,does follow this piece you see this is a,selling point as a marketer as a person,as a sales guy you can say hey i got, something different and that is what, somebody wants when they buy this range, rover evoke as you will see now on the, side here it does have these flush, handles that go inside when you lock the,car and of course its really shortened, wheelbase at 105 inches that is ultra, short nothing is shorter in the sv,market than this yes this is way smaller, than pretty much all its competitors, sub compact class here we go on a,personal note my favorite looking range, rover is really the velar in current, standards now they have the new ranger, thats been dropped but i still like the,way the velar looks this is pretty much, exactly the same in the front and in the, back,of velar except smaller so if thats, what youre looking for this should be a,consideration, the back of the range rover evoque, follows the front its nice and pretty, and nice and money you see on the back, you have all the black that follows, through with this nice big range rover, badge telling you hey im driving a,range rover even this evoque is nice and, black look at this massive rear diffuser, this is a little sub compact suv theyre, really trying to pump it up and theyve, done some unique pieces theyve hidden, the rear wiper underneath here so its,out of the way theyve continued this, rose gold aka bronze and my personal, favorite a rear view mirror camera that,is actually, mounted right there now as i press the,key fob for the power liftgate to go up,you would like to know that this does, tow 4 000 pounds which is a big number, when you consider how small this vehicle,is an audi q5 tows that and as far as,space yes it is obviously small it has a,32 inch depth and has a 39 inch width so,you cant fit that much maybe three, suitcases at the most, back seat of the range rover evoke, now it is a small vehicle so of course, everything is going to be small you add,the fact that everything is black itll, feel a little bit claustrophobic back, here but everything appears to have a,really good quality the seats are nice, they feel well, the door panel is not just plain and, plastic theres a lot of cuts a lot of,modern pieces actually if you take a,look theres this piano black that flows, all the way through not a big fan of,piano black but its not done where your, hands actually touch it its just really, for appearance it has a nice little, cutout where your hands fit in to hold, the door in case youre driving like a,maniac,as far as convenience go you do have a,sunroof back here its not one big glass, panel there is a structural brace that, goes across the top which is sort of a,little bit disappointing in a vehicle, like this should have one big glass, panel it also doesnt have a usb or usbc, back here it does have a cigarette plug, and it does have heated seats on either, side you think in a 2022 it would have, usbs, hmm but you have got two cup holders i,guess thats a plus, front seat of the range rover evoque, luxury at its finest it does have a,split armrest so i can slide each one,for me,a lot of brands dont have a split, armrest a lot of brands stuck with this, elbow thats actually hitting absolutely, nothing or the cup holders, but its a range rover so i do have a,nice individual piece i dont have an,armrest here for my arm but i have one, very close right there now inside feels, very velarish nice quality materials, they even thought about wireless, charging yeah no usbs in the back but, theres wireless charging and its for, either side because its actually hidden, underneath the center console right here, where my hand is hello, now stepping in the vehicle you have the, sill that says range rover right on it,and when you get in you have more range,rover-esque pieces youve got three, digital screens the drivers display and,two center displays including this hvac, control over here that shows you the, evoke not the right color but theyre, trying it does have a nice big heads up,display that is also color so a lot of,digital pieces and of course my favorite, this rear view mirror camera everything, just seems very easy and very clean this, interior is very very nice and it,doesnt feel like the most expensive, slash inexpensive range rover and if,digital is not your thing and virtual is,not your space and you want something a,bit more, tangible well you have these nice big, paddle shifters and they are real they, are not plastic you have these hvac, controls that are soft turn and very, easy giving you that lux

The Range Rover Evoque is One of the Best Luxury SUVs

[Music],Im Jake on the aerial going for a drive,20/20 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque,p300 our dynamic HSE with no launch, control not bad after definitely not, much right off the line I felt like it,was a lot faster when I was just driving,it and then it had already floor it its, actually a lot faster when youre, regularly driving it not off the line, but well get to that in a second, horsepower and torque 296 horsepower 295,pound-feet of torque from a 2 liter,four-cylinder turbo thats a good power,of that yeah so lets get to that now so,as soon as I started driving this thing,I noticed that this has the most, appropriate amount of power for this, type of vehicle yeah I notice the exact, same thing yeah so when youre just, cruising along in Drive and then you, give it a little bit of power its the, right amount of torque and its all like,low-end torque which made me think that,I was actually in a v6 at first Im like,oh damn this is a turbo for like this is,really good but the problem is this has,a nine speed auto and its very slow, when you floor it so Im gonna flow, right now and then were off man theres,so much transmission lag these days I,know so if you use the paddles its a,little bit slow as well so its just, kind of not the best transmission but, this isnt a fast drivers car this is a,kind of like soccer-mom car kind of its,a really good-looking car yeah and, previously when we drove the old evoke I,said it was the best-looking SUV I have, since driven a ton of other SUVs I dont, think its the best-looking anymore but,I still think it looks really darn good, yeah this refresh was needed and I think, they nailed it like this looks really, good for an SUV yeah and it looks like, they kind of took some velar stuff as,well they may be some Kia Soul stuff as,well I think the Kia Soul – I know I,know, but quickly on the drive modes because, there arent many four on the road, theyre actually more for off the road,so on our bottom screen yes there are, probably about three or four screens in,this car but well get to that in a bit, uhit vehicle and then you go through, them the only two driving modes for the, road are eco and comfort there is no,sport mode in this and then we do have, three different off-road modes which Im,sure the people of that buy this car, really kind of enjoy but Im gonna send,it into cliche corner in comfort mode, because thats the sportiest mode for on,the road and it does handle pretty well, obviously theres a lot of body roll, because this is an SUV but it actually, turns in quite well like shockingly well, for what this is,can feel some torque vectoring going on,because the traction control and stuff, kicks in but overall for what this is,this type of SUV handles really well and,so I did mention the multiple screens in,here earlier lets talk about them, starting with this one the mirror screen,so if you flip this you actually have a,camera just like Cadillac is doing yeah, and you can also adjust like if its,up/down brightness and all that stuff, its kind of funny seeing the Settings, icon in your mirror though yeah and the, camera is up in the shark fin which is,pretty jokes too but overall I find it,really distracting and I figured out why,its because I dont know where my back, end is theres no reference point so I,have to flip it back and now I know, where the back end on my car is so the, main screen tilts up and its white, during the day black at night so its, easy to read because you made a black, during the day it would just be glares, yes so theres actually no physical, buttons at all to control this, infotainment which is pretty wild and I,dont like it and theyre trying to,future-proof themselves I dont really, like it but lets dig into it its got, apple carplay Android auto and Android, auto is actually widescreen this is the, first time yes so Android auto, widescreen does not exist here its, regular Android auto but its on a wider, screen, yeah theres no stupid clock on the, right and I think it actually looks good, but the thing is on your Android auto, you cant pinch to zoom on Google Maps, and I cant move my finger to move, around I could get something to do with, the display yeah its one of those that, you cant touch twice at once yeah but, then weve also got rewinding satellite, radios no tuned mix but it gets the job, done and the infotainment is a little, bit laggy which totally sucks because if,youre trying to remove hard buttons, dont make it laggy yeah but everything, landrover kind of lags right it does, sake fortunately thats just the way it,is jag and Land Rover lag infotainment, yeah so lets talk about this bottom, screen so then weve got kind of our, climate and some other vehicle settings, down there and then you can also change, your radio from down there then weve, got these two knobs so if youre on a,screen you can use a hard knob to kind,of go through some finer tune settings,so if I click my heated seats I then use,the knob to see how much heat I want to,my seat or my massage yeah so it does, have different levels of massage and, then youd like Yuri said you change, them with this button but the thing that, sucks the most and you typically, complain about this stuff is that if,youre running apple carplay or Android, auto its difficult to get out of it,takes multiple button,on the main screen but the savior is,this bottom screen so you can still, change your radio stations in the bottom, screen while running Android auto or,whatever up top yeah bay camera whine, from there thats right and thats the, best feature of all radios in the world, and then we also have gloss black at the, bottom these capacitive buttons which, are terrible because theyre already, finger printing so yeah yeah but we do,have a volume knob yeah thank you for, that but the is the volume knob the, shifter gets in the way of your hand, like try yeah you gotta rest it on a,were dang its such a pain yeah overall, this does look impressive though like,Jaguar Land Rovers always look, impressive yeah and everyone who gets, inside is always impressed but usability,is just not that good but also with the, infotainment we do have our 360 camera, and reverse camera but you cant get the,360 camera to show up at the same time,as a reverse camera which kind of sucks, less they are high-res then weve got, automatic Parking and all that stuff, thats set up through the infotainment, and we also have one of the coolest, features ever fitted to a vehicle in,terms of cameras clear sight ground view, tell them what it is so pretty much, takes your 360 camera and shows it in,front of you so when youre driving it,takes that last thing that was in front,of you before you drove over it and, displays it underneath you so you can,see like where parking spot is or if,youre parking over a handicap spot or,over lids over lids or boulders for,off-roading,yeah its meant to be used off-road but,you can definitely use it in the city, and this is a really cool feature and,how do you like your gauge cluster gauge, clusters typical of every jail our, vehicle its a little bit laggy its, super customizable but overall it works, and then to control everything in your, gauge cluster you got to use these crazy, buttons on the steering wheel which are,all touch buttons that have a click but, they also change anytime you do anything, yeah theyre contextual depending on the, menu youll get used to it but its a,little bit weird but again its very, impressive and surprisingly enough I did,get used to it in like two minutes yeah, you know if you have to like prepare for,a test you just got to sit there think, real hard concentrate thats what all, these new cars feel like to me Im like, youre you can do this you know where, the settings are youve done this before, top row down left and we also have our, heated steering wheel button on there, and typical of Land Rover we have this, metal ring on the inside so the back, gets hot but the front is like ice cold,I love it I hate it while were talking, about the steering wheel its so heavy,to steer this like more than it should,be for a car thats in comf

| 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Review

weve got an interesting drive today its from  land rover the range rover evoke now we last  ,tested this three years ago that was in 2019 when  it was brand new for 2020. this is the second gen  ,evoque its basically the same as it was for 2022  which means you get those famous words emblazoned  ,on the hood it is the smallest and most affordable  way to spell range rover subcompact suvs are  ,very easy to park and very hard to justify buying  brand new space and amenities come at a premium if  ,youre going luxury like this car you better have  money so lets see what this base evoke can do  ,with a few options at 55 grand the evoque is one  of the sharpest looking suvs that land rover makes  ,and its one of the least popular models land  rover sells in america in 2021 it was second  ,to last youd think the evoke would be  a bestseller since it starts at 45 000  ,right automakers sell more copies of their smaller  cheaper cars than their larger expensive cars but  ,not land rover the range over sport starts at 71  grand and it outsells the evoque by three to one  ,what about the full-size range rover that queen  elizabeth drives herself and costs deep into the  ,100s still beats the evoke at more than two to  one its not baffling range rover customers are  ,willing to pay because the brand has a lot of  cachet right theyll pay almost anything and  ,in this car well you dont get a whole lot of car  its more than a foot shorter than a honda civic  ,this is like a standard room at the plaza hotel  in new york youre paying a lot for not a lot  ,of space but you are getting the amenities  particularly the style even in this boring  ,gray its flat i wouldnt recommend it but this  car still looks hot it looked hot what was it  ,10 years ago this car came out when i first drove  it now its no longer available as a convertible  ,or a two-door but the evoque has as really well  its one of those really striking designs you know  ,this is a range rover even if its the smallest  one the front got the really thin lights got these  ,oversized 20-inch wheels on here big bulging  fenders i love these retractable door handles  ,those look fantastic especially the way the roof  goes all the way down and away the shoulder line  ,comes down toward the front theyre kind of moving  like this so it gives this kind of like a bulldog  ,kind of racer stance you know its a truck like  profile but it never feels like it entirely this  ,is the r-dynamic trim which adds bronze accents  all over and it has a new front bumper from the  ,front to the side to the back youll always  recognize and evoke maybe the back looks even  ,nicer its just sharp especially these tail lights  they have this mirror-like effect which adds a lot  ,of depth and these retractable door handles they  pop out when you unlock it and theyre flush to  ,the body when its locked really nice you dont  get a lot of utility though its 8.3 inches of  ,total clearance thats less than most subarus  and you dont get a ton of cargo space either  ,its a nice little hatch its finally powered  as standard for 2022 the cargo space average  ,for the sub-compact class 21 cubic feet  behind the seats and 50 when theyre folded, theres more standard features for 2022 heated  front seats proximity key thats nice and a  ,wireless device charger behind this dash but the  evoke has only gotten pricier over the years and  ,ive had some new loaner evokes my land rover  dealer that felt a lot more well equipped for  ,the money this ones pretty base the steering  column is manual forget any seat memory theres  ,ambient darkness not lighting a single camera not  360. and forget about semi-automated driving this  ,evoke doesnt have adaptive crews thats standard  on cars costing 25 grand this one is almost 55.  ,on our 2020 evoque that car cost a few thousand  more than this one but looked a whole lot prettier  ,inside the materials are generally good this is  not the full leather interior so you dont have  ,any more leather on the dash or the doors thats a  bit rougher but overall the fit and finish is high  ,quality the evoke has two different dashboard  designs depending on how much money you spend  ,its not obvious at first since when the car is  off its all dark and really slick then when you  ,turn the car on well theres no bright screen  below here its all just touch sensitive buttons  ,that seem to be scattered all over the place seems  a bit like wasted space but there is a heated  ,windshield thats something you wont find almost  any new car and these dials are multi-function  ,you got the air temperature here press it for  seat heating or cooling if thats equipped and  ,some more hidden features check that out  little rings for the fan and the driving  ,modes i was having trouble finding the driving  modes theyre right here theyre hidden until  ,theyre lit so its kind of a neat design a  little complex to use but the functionality  ,is there i like the way this aluminum trim looks  surrounding the gear selector but it also seems  ,like they could have used this for more buttons  say some seek buttons for the radio or maybe  ,the auto hold feature for the brakes theyre  both accessible only from the touch screen  ,and this main screen it has a bezel around it  where on the loaded evokes you actually get a  ,screen thats flush with the dash and it looks  even nicer let me get to the good part land rover  ,has software that works for the first time in  14 years that ive been driving these vehicles  ,it actually doesnt break pivi pro is what jaguar  landover calls its newest infotainment system  ,and it actually is fast its easy to use and most  everything seems to work and fits in the proper  ,place i like all these graphics theyre sharp you  can choose to have apps as tiled things right here  ,or you can actually press and hold move things  around its more customizable than it ever was and  ,theres some neat little apps on here slope assist  will show you the degrees that youre traveling up  ,and down how the axles look thats kind of fun you  also have energy impact where you can actually see  ,how the heated windshield and other accessories  are drawing from the battery and from your fuel  ,efficiency itll rate your driving style and  even give you suggestions kind of like a teacher  ,i dont really like being told what to do though  so i would fail that part of the test here but  ,the nav the nav has some really great features now  especially the pois its super easy to just search  ,the 4g internet is fast and boom here you go  the internet is great on this car and if you  ,dont want to use the factory nav apple carplay is  wireless its standard so is wireless android auto  ,on the base of oaks like this theres analog  gauges but theyre cut and kind of sliced by this  ,central display thats all right because you still  get a lot of functionality here i can see driver  ,assistance i can see my speedometer everything up  from a glance its a little confusing at first but  ,its easy to use with this d-pad once you get used  to it i still think though that the full digital  ,display is worth the extra upgrade the rear seat  is for short trips only theres not a lot of space  ,its pretty tight back here this is where my seat  was when i was sitting here im 5 11 and i dont  ,really want to sit back here for too long and the  visibility is also poor but you knew that because  ,this car looks so darn good on the outside as the  baby in the range rover family the evoke is not  ,going to go off-road like all the other larger  rovers can theres no low-range transfer case  ,theres not as many drive modes theres no air  suspension that lifts it so youre limited and  ,thats the whole point of this car its a street  rover but there are some nice things that you  ,can use in the driving modes for traction control  specifically low traction launch which i will try  ,now since im on some snow thats interesting  so it really dulls the throttle respo

Is the Range Rover Evoque the ALMOST perfect small luxury SUV?

[Music],hey guys whats up its joe rady from, rateys rides im back here at land, rover clearwater and guess what,we have the new redesign yes theyve, actually redesigned this,2020 range rover evoque this one,is the p250 se but before we dive in,this, lets talk about this little small size, range rover so,been around the evokos been around, since 2015 and has really been that, gateway vehicle into not only land rover, but of course, that premium level known as range rover, with the evoque youre going to get,a lot of great usability not only from, the inside but, also the outside a lot of people dont, understand that these range rovers, yeah they look really pretty but they, can also handle, some serious off-road terrain with their,all-wheel drive system but were going,to find out whats new for 2020,and see really is this the small luxury, suv, thats off-road capable that you should,be parking in your garage,so lets go ahead and dive in right off,the bat youll see the updated front, fascia, whats great is you still get that same, great identity so,on your range rovers i love the way they,do the headlight housing, really slim and trim very very, identifiable, daytime running lamp you have full led, headlights, you drop down guess what this is,functional you have a functional side, air curtain a little bit of gloss black, some more exterior lighting down below, these led fog lamps but, super clean and and like i said it just, really when you see a range rover, you know exactly what it is now as we,come across the grill youre still going,to get that nice, aesthetically pleasing grill design, gloss black up top,im still going to zonk the name the way, that they just stick it on with emblems,id rather it be kind of sunk into the, hood but definitely this color,is so beautiful it really sparkles like,a ruby,a nice open area this is all functional, thats another great thing is that its,all functional of course youre going to,have your land rover badge because like,i said this is a range rover but to,land rover range rover evoque we drop, down you have some, flat black and if you notice cohesive, same design,as up top even though this is flat black, gloss black up top,its going to take a better beating and, then youre going to have some flat, black and a little bit more gloss black, now the surprising thing is,you have about 8.9 inches of ground, clearance between the bottom of this, evoke and the ground which is like i,said for if youre going any type of,off-road terrain, this thing is going to surprise you now, when we get up onto the hood, simple clean youre going to have two, nice rises, and then everything else kind of just, flows into the edge,of the hood towards the a-pillars and i,like that because, there seems to just be a lot of other, suvs out there that have so many folds, and creases, this just has a nice flow to it now when,we come around the bend here, youll see how they have a flared out, fender look and everything is color, matched,so no flat black plastic what are we,working with wheel and tires up youre, looking at a 20 inch, gloss black wheel love the design really, works great with the red,of course youre going to have fully, ventilated rotors, behind those wheels now if youre, wondering well joe whats the size of,this youre looking at 235 on the width, and a meaty 50 series sidewall as we,rise up,you can see how the hood the design they, really, put that extra touch how the hood has a,nice little cut cutout area, for the fender some gloss black really, ties in nicely with whats going on at,the front end of the business, and it kind of breaks up what could be,something just kind of bland, love this belt line that runs down the, whole length,of the vehicle pretty much it kind of,starts up here on the fender, then goes down the whole length of the, vehicle you have, gloss black mirror caps and then i think, its so smart the way they black out the,a-pillar,gives it a great look with that roof, line that traditional land rover range, rover roofline nice, and flat all the way back some gloss, black everything else,on the bottom portion is flat black and, then on the lower portion, you do have a little bit of a flat black, sill and then they brought some of that, trim,up as well smart aesthetically pleasing, designs, which i think overall just fit this, vehicle perfectly now as we work towards, the rear, good size on the on the rear quarter, window and im glad that they used the, same gloss black, like on the mirror caps and the,a-pillars on the rear pillar here it,almost gives it like a floating roof, design, which makes it look really wild and even, the way see how the belt line, gets absorbed by the tail light housing, thats just smart, design as we come around im gonna have, victor kind of showcase,he could really show how that nice, flared fender is coming from the back, and as we kind of drop back and take a,look at the rear,as a whole you have this nice massive, its massive low roof spoiler you have, the shark fin antenna which also has, your camera up there now thats not your, backup camera remember you have that, nice,uh digital rear view mirror on these, that gives you a nice visibility, and i also like the way they put the, wiper up,underneath the spoiler that gives it a,super clean look, led tail lights mimic the design of the, headlights up front, and then as we come down you can see the, land rover badge your rain, range rover the outback it fits a little, bit better into the black plastic here, rather than sticking it up here im glad, they didnt do that, this one like i said is evoke p250se,we drop down and you have a super, aggressive, rear bumper fascia i like the way it,kind of curves underneath, and it has this nice little hard edge, but while we go ahead, lets pop the hood and see whats, powering this event all right guys we,got the hip hop you do have hydraulic, hood struts, underneath the hood there are a lot of,different engine options, for the evoke now this particular one, being the p250se,youre looking at a two liter inline, four turbocharged engine,246 horsepower 269 pound-feet of torque, its all mated through a nine-speed,automatic transmission, like i said you have that all-wheel,drive system you could tow up to almost,4 000 pounds with this evoque thats how, crazy of a of a system that these range, rovers have, the evoke does weigh 4 300 pounds, mpgs 21 in the city and 26,on the highway probably the biggest zonk,is going to be performance zero to 60,youre looking at around 8.9 seconds, another thing when you open up the hood, engine cover is really, not the sexiest it really doesnt match, with whats going on with the exterior, and if you noticed its very very tight, underneath, that hood but lets get real how many, people with range rovers are going to,start, doing their own maintenance on this, brand new evoque probably not many but, while we go ahead, lets get to the interior and see if,this small range rover, has some big surprises in store for us,all right guys were inside the 2020,redesigned evoque so exterior front, fascia rear fascia was totally, redesigned, interior there have been some also some, redesigned improvements i know youre at,that point where joe,im liking this small package range, rover how much,is it the way that this one is option, youre looking at an msrp right at 59,000.,lets see what you get for the money now,to the door panels, you have a very interesting fabric its, almost like a wetsuit material, near the top there i do like the stitch, work i feel like its going to wear very, nicely and its soft,a little bit of gloss black some brushed, aluminum and then, also youll notice you have not only one,not only two but, three memory seat settings for both the, passenger and the driver, this one does have the meridian optional, sound system you have a,pretty decent pocket there maybe for, some british scones or if you know what,if youre feeling a little mexican you, could go uh maybe with a chipotle, burrito or two stuffed in that door, pocket now on the dash, heres that neoprene material almost, feels like a wetsuit but its its soft,i like it the stitch work is g

2021 Range Rover Evoque vs Volvo XC40 review – whats the best family SUV? | What Car?

the Range Rover Evoque is a hugely, desirable car the first generation model, was a massive sales success but it,wasnt without its flaws the,second-generation model already seems, like a giant leap forward in pretty much, every department but to test exactly how, good it is were putting it up against, the reigning family SUV champion the,Volvo XC 40 for this test weve got a,Range Rover Evoque in S trim with a,2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine and,a Volvo XC 40 in d4 or designed trim but, which is the best premium family SUV on,sale thats what were gonna find out in,this test and dont forget of course if,you want to buy this car that car or any, other new car go to work or calm and, when youre there go to the new car, buying section and you can find out how, much money you can save off your next, new car straight away online without the, need for any awkward haggling and please, subscribe to our channel because were, going to be doing loads more group tests, like this and new car reviews and first, looks as well so lets start upfront, with these cars and right now were in,the Volvo XC 40 and the first thing, youve probably noticed is this rather, fabulous orange lining which I really, like but you might not however well, thats something thats quite subjective, the objective conclusion to reach from, the XM forties interior is that it is,first-rate the materials are all, brilliant the build quality is,incredibly robust and really just like, with every other Volvo weve tested, recently its very impressive inside, however again similar to other new,Volvos the interior is let down, slightly by this rather poor, infotainment system the problem with it,is its a 9 inch tablet style, infotainment touchscreen and basically, every control for everything is located, within the touchscreen itself, sure you have some physical buttons, along the bottom here to help with media, but everything else even the climate, controls are all accessed through the, screen and the screen itself is crisp, its clear its responsive but its just,a bit of a faff and theres quite a lot,of sub menus to navigate your way around, its just not particularly clear wed, rather something like BMWs iDrive which,in the x1 in this class is absolutely, brilliant and a second to none the seats, comfortable to with adjustable lumbar, support and extendable seat squabs as,for the space up front in the XC forty, well thats really impressive too even, with a panoramic sunroof usually that, means that Headroom is greatly reduced, and youd say well if it at all youre, probably not gonna be comfortable but in,the XC forty even with the sunroof, theres loads of space for tall drivers, loads of leg room as well and actually, this is a nice airy open cabin it does, feel more spacious than the Evoque, although our tape measure shows that the,two are very very close in space so the, storage options that youve got up front, the x40 are very impressive youve got a,really long deep and wide door bins that, are good in the center console here you, have a big storage compartment with a,non-slip floor its nice and deep and, long with a handy storage net at the, front too and then just in front of this, storage compartment you actually have a,bin and Ill show you you can lift it,out completely and when you do Ill show, you if you push that in you can put all, your receipts and all your sweet, wrappers down there and then you can, simply hold over bin pour the contents, out onto it and put it back in and so,its a very handy portable bin you can, also take the lid of it off which is,fairly simple to do leaving you with, this which you can store somewhere put, that there and then thats a more kind,of conventional and easier to reach, storage compartment in front of that you, have two cup holders here and then at,the front of the center console youve, got a big wireless phone charging port, again with some helpful storage either, side of that, very good practicality up front with a,relatively poorly sized box now you can,see just by looking at this car that the,Evoque has a very different dashboard, layout to the XC 40 so in the Evoque the, dashboard just sits a bit higher and, everything is kind of enveloping the, driver more than it does in the XC 40 so,the quality in here youve got a bear in,mind that this is a basic level of,specification for the Evoque even still, the Evoque is very impressive in the, materials that it uses and all the trim, around this infotainment system is very, nice as well basically anything that, youre going to touch in here is gonna, feel very very good quality but its, difficult to separate the two in that, regard theyre both very impressive and, theyre both feel luxurious, these cloth seats in the evoke are a,no-cost option but you get leather seats,as standard but the Evoque does just, have a slight edge on the feel of luxury,I think unfortunately doesnt have a,cool orange inserts that the XD 40 does, but still its a nice design and it also, gets this latest infotainment system, from Jaguar Land Rover and its, something that weve seen on the valar, for the first time and then other cars, since then weve got pretty used to it,and really its a fairly good system, obviously the XC 40 goes for that one, tablet style solution to its, infotainment but here the dual, touchscreen layout actually works, reasonably well its responsive the, dials are still around for controlling, things like the climate it can be a bit, fussy for trying to jump between the,off-road settings because these dolls, down here change regarding to the menu, that youve selected so its a bit of a,faff occasionally jumping from vehicle,to climate and then to seats but its, quite a clever way and really once you, spend some time in the car it wont be,that annoying after a while,so its all very impressive one thing, the Land Rovers infotainment system, does better than the Volvos is the, smartphone mirroring systems so if you,use apple carplay or Android auto you, connect it up and the top screen becomes, entirely apple carplay which is great so,its all big icons and its just for, that but in the volvo you have just a,small segment of the screen which is,used for your phone and thats a little, bit annoying youd rather especially if,youre using google maps or ways youd, rather see it all on the whole screen,Robin just a small segment so the Evoque, does a better job of smartphone, integration what about the space up,front well just like the X and 40 tour, drivers wont have any problem getting, comfortable at all youve got loads of,headroom loads of legroom and the, storage up front is very impressive in,the Evoque too so youve got nice,good-sized door bins and then on the, centre console youve got these kind of,two mini arm rests that can be folded up,individually inside here very good size, storage compartment with two USB ports a,micro sim and a 12 volt socket that, knowingly opens from the top or on the, bottom but doesnt really matter just in,front of that youve got this little, tray for your smartphone its got a,non-slip floor to it as well so it means, that whatever you put in there wont be,sliding around if youre going around, some corners now the thing with this is,you can completely remove it and, underneath youve got two cupholders now, thats quite useful but this isnt so,useful so where are you gonna put this I,mean its got a diagram on the back that, suggests you just lob it in the glove, box and thats probably the best thing, for it as long as theres nothing else,in the glove box but the storage options, dont finish there because underneath, the infotainment system youve got a,helpful second layer of storage as well, again with a non-slip floor so things, wont be sliding around all over the, place and even a slot to put your keys, down there as well so practicality is,impressive up front in the Evoque the,EXCI 40 has better forward visibility, because the pillars are smaller but out,the back the Evoque is actually better, especially if you have the fancy rear, view mirror that turns into a camera so,while the build quality and space, upfront is pretty
