prescription pills a rock of crack,cocaine and a sex doll as well as dozens,of citations never turned in all red,flags all found in the patrol car of an,Oxford police officer records show the,case started after a Cadet started,cleaning the patrol car assigned to,officer Eddie nation that 12-year,veteran of the force was fired back in,June 10 News investigative reporter,Grace King walks us through the,background and where this case stands,right now,we obtained the full investigative file,from KPD it shows a pattern of cast,aside drugs traffic tickets and,misdemeanor citations KPD says those,problems lasted the majority of Officer,Nations time in the field Community,leaders addressed the severity during a,recent police advisory and review,committee meeting how could these issues,go on nine years without anyone noticing,paper from 2010 through 2018,documents show officer Eddie Nation,repeatedly failed to turn in paperwork,the discovery came as Cadets cleaned out,nations car while he was on extended,medical leave they found 25 misdemeanor,citations of those investigators say,only one person was booked under the,applicable citation number one other was,arrested on the spot but investigators,say there are no records for anyone else,getting booked on those misdemeanor,citations this is a paper process where,were collecting pieces of paper and,anytime youre collecting pieces of,paper its easy to accidentally lose,things its also,um easy to intentionally you know,misplace things or not turn stuff in KPD,also found 42 forms for cars that were,towed involved in accidents and,impounded that never got turned in as,well as a variety of drugs and drug,paraphernalia records show they,discovered a cigarette pack containing a,crack rock two baggies containing a,green leafy substance believed to be,marijuana a blunt two prescription,bottles and a deflated sex doll but what,troubled investigators the most was,Finding three confiscation envelopes,that were never logged one envelope read,meth but records show they didnt find,any meth with the property KPD wrote it,had great concern about where the meth,is was he drug tested during this,investigation so he was not so he was,actually on medical leave prior to the,initiation of the investigation when the,violation was discovered and all,throughout the entire process members of,the police advisory and Review Committee,asked how something like this could last,so long all of these are just paper,citations the way to move forward with,this is to digitize this process and,thats something were going to be,working on in a statement KPD told 10,News its moving in that direction the,department says traffic citations have,since gone entirely digital its,leadership team is planning and,developing an improved technological,infrastructure but Chief Paul Noel told,Park they cant do it alone youre,talking about the clerk of court the,different judges The District Attorney,Generals office being able to get,everybody to be on the same page with,that be able to electronically share,that information and build up that whole,the infrastructure to be able to support,them KPD says it feels confident this is,an extreme example of an officer who,both neglected and failed to do his job,they say its another example of how KPD,will benefit from the active bystander,ship for law enforcement training thats,coming in 2023 we reached out to officer,Nation through his attorney he told us,they had no additional comment,Grace King on that story right now at,wbir.com you can read the full statement,from Knoxville police and more key,pieces of that investigation

its funny you talk about,not being on a fixed schedule air doll,is a film that originally came out in,2009 a premiered at cannes film festival,i believe in uncertain regard,so why are we reviewing it now this is a,very good question uh it turns out that,the the film has never had a proper us,release until now,first week of february i think its,february the fourth it is being released,in select cinemas and on vod and where,have you um in the us for the very very,first time,and i was as surprised as anybody else,to learn this news but very pleasantly,surprised because i saw the film way,back 13 years ago when uh when it came,out and when it was first released in,hong kong and um i thought oh what a,great opportunity to revisit it uh see,if it holds up see if,my uh feelings and thoughts on it have,changed at all and um,you know help in a small way hopefully a,significant way throw a bit of light on,the film as its finally seeing the,light of day in the us so,uh where to begin with adult i mean,essentially,its sort of an updating of uh the,pygmalion myth or even you could argue,sort of the pinocchio story to some,degree,its set in contemporary japan,uh and it stars korean actress baidu na,as uh nozomi who is an inflatable sex,doll,uh that is uh you know,the companion if you like,to a lonely middle-aged salary man,um by the name of oh im trying to,remember what his name is now,uh hideo played by itsuji italia um,and you know we meet her at a very sort,of important time theres not its not,exactly,specified what happens or what causes,this to happen uh but she,one morning just sort of comes to life,you know we see we see her routine where,she is dressed up either in a maids,outfit or whatever as as his kind of,companion as much as,uh,masturbation tool,um you know and he he comes home and he,treats her like hes like his wife you,know uh tells him tells her about her,day sits her at the table you know eats,dinner with her and and then has sex,with it and and then a very matter of,factly sort of rinses out it out and uh,and,goes to bed and then the next morning,you know leaves her leaves her in bed,and and then she just suddenly kind of,comes to life and looks outside and sees,that there is you know a world out there,and,she refers to it later that she she,grows a heart is what happens and shes,about her venturing out into the world,interacting with other people learning,what her place in society is and the,potential what it could be the dangers,of,you know being an inflatable doll in out,in the world but also being you know a,woman out in the world um and i think,what the film does is it raises a number,of really interesting,uh ideas and concepts just about,uh traditional gender roles you know the,role of the housewife the role of the uh,the of the girlfriend the sex object uh,the objectification,of women in contemporary japanese,society and a whole lot of other stuff,but it does it for me at least in a very,sort of,understated gentle way its not,perverted in any way or anything like,that i mean although there is there is,some nudity you know because uh when she,comes to life she doesnt have any,clothes on and so in that regard its,something of a brave performance for,baby now um,but at the same time,you know this isnt a film about,necessarily,uh,yet perversions or sexual piccadillos so,much as it is a film about sort of,uh urban alienation and loneliness and,uh and things like that and,going in search of what it means to be,human essentially,at which point ill hand it over to you,steve,yeah this movie was a little bit,different for me i got to say straight,off it was interesting when i sat down,to watch it um my son walked into the,room my 11 year old son and said oh dad,what are you watching and i said im,watching a movie said oh what is it,about i said its about a doll that,comes to life he goes oh i want to watch,that with you i said,lets,ill watch some disney with you later,um but having said that james youre,right this is a movie that despite the,the nature of it you you would assume a,certain,it would it would start to trod into a,certain area and it really refrains from,that this is not something that,um,this is not a sex film this is a film,like you said its about loneliness its,about,alienation uh at least as far as the ban,goes as far as the female goes you know,its exploring uh,like you said well trod ground i i i,thought not only of pinocchio but i was,thinking of data from star trek next,generation or um the the girl when uh,daryl hannah plays in splash the mermaid,you know the mermaid in,this is a whole new world for me of,which im totally unfamiliar a data im,im an android i want to be human i want,to have these experiences i want to have,these tactile experiences i want to have,these relational experiences,so as a buddha buddha as,they do,as shes coming to life there theres,this whimsical quality that she brings,thats thats really fun to watch for a,while it gets a little bit old this is,uh this movie tends to be a little,longer than probably needed to be but at,least initially watching her engage with,this new world she does a really good,job at doing this,this is not a movie that,trying to think where i want to go with,this this is a very interesting movie,because we have a sex doll that came to,life and so what do we do with that,you know the you raise the issue about,objectification,and even in the midst of what one of the,things that struck me in this movie,was these underlying themes,and,one of them was even as shes starting,to humanize,shes constantly reminded by those,around her shes an object she even,almost recites a little mantra to,herself that i am i am a sex i forgot,what she actually says in the movie i,only pleasure pleasure doll im a,pleasure dollar i am a pleasure doll and,i basically,uh my existence is for,mens pleasure and its not only her,owner but,later on the the owner of the video,store kind of throughout the whole,movie um,yeah its like thats the the ultimate,goal or the ulterior motive with with,anybody she meets exactly any any man,that she meets its just a matter of,time,you know before they will make their,move as it were,there was even one point with the older,man because she befriends a couple of,locals as well as she develops these,relationships,and as hes kind of dying,he asks her to touch him and in her mind,shes thinking oh when men want me to,touch them they want me to touch them,here and of course she starts to go to,his penis but she thats not what he,wants,he you know he puts her hand on he wants,that relational,at least thats the way i interpret it,there may be another interpretation to,that no i think youre right because she,has cold hands right and so hes like prescription pills a rock of crack,cocaine and a sex doll as well as dozens,of citations never turned in all red,flags all found in the patrol car of an,Oxford police officer records show the,case started after a Cadet started,cleaning the patrol car assigned to,officer Eddie nation that 12-year,veteran of the force was fired back in,June 10 News investigative reporter,Grace King walks us through the,background and where this case stands,right now,we obtained the full investigative file,from KPD it shows a pattern of cast,aside drugs traffic tickets and,misdemeanor citations KPD says those,problems lasted the majority of Officer,Nations time in the field Community,leaders addressed the severity during a,recent police advisory and review,committee meeting how could these issues,go on nine years without anyone noticing,paper from 2010 through 2018,documents show officer Eddie Nation,repeatedly failed to turn in paperwork,the discovery came as Cadets cleaned out,nations car while he was on extended,medical leave they found 25 misdemeanor,citations of those investigators say,only one person was booked under the,applicable citation number one other was,arrested on the spot but investigators,say there are no records for anyone else,getting booked on those misdemeanor,citations this is a paper process where,were collecting pieces of paper and,anytime youre collecting pieces of,paper its easy to accidentally lose,things its also,um easy to intentionally you know,misplace things or not turn stuff in KPD,also found 42 forms for cars that were,towed involved in accidents and,impounded that never got turned in as,well as a variety of drugs and drug,paraphernalia records show they,discovered a cigarette pack containing a,crack rock two baggies containing a,green leafy substance believed to be,marijuana a blunt two prescription,bottles and a deflated sex doll but what,troubled investigators the most was,Finding three confiscation envelopes,that were never logged one envelope read,meth but records show they didnt find,any meth with the property KPD wrote it,had great concern about where the meth,is was he drug tested during this,investigation so he was not so he was,actually on medical leave prior to the,initiation of the investigation when the,violation was discovered and all,throughout the entire process members of,the police advisory and Review Committee,asked how something like this could last,so long all of these are just paper,citations the way to move forward with,this is to digitize this process and,thats something were going to be,working on in a statement KPD told 10,News its moving in that direction the,department says traffic citations have,since gone entirely digital its,leadership team is planning and,developing an improved technological,infrastructure but Chief Paul Noel told,Park they cant do it alone youre,talking about the clerk of court the,different judges The District Attorney,Generals office being able to get,everybody to be on the same page with,that be able to electronically share,that information and build up that whole,the infrastructure to be able to support,them KPD says it feels confident this is,an extreme example of an officer who,both neglected and failed to do his job,they say its another example of how KPD,will benefit from the active bystander,ship for law enforcement training thats,coming in 2023 we reached out to officer,Nation through his attorney he told us,they had no additional comment,Grace King on that story right now at,wbir.com you can read the full statement,from Knoxville police and more key,pieces of that investigation

magically,back to life,to see his family One Last Time been,brought back as a snowman I cannot,remember why that happened but that is,what indeed happened in that movie now,as I said you know people think of Jack,Frost thats the movie they think of as,far as the movie goes but Im sure Im,sure many people out there have,traumatized their kids,by mistaking it with this film right,here,one cold know you know how you,have people like uh Clayface got into an,accident all of a sudden was soaked in,with the chemicals Sandman from uh from,from Spider-Man you know uh merging with,whatevers around and also his soul went,into the snow so we got some Chucky,thing going on right here but yeah folks,is what well be talking about tonight,some some people some people go as far,as to say this is a cult classic but,this is what well be talking about this,evening and to get into the discussion,here uh,so the mukman everything about this,movies crazy and some of us on purpose,some of us not um and probably say mob,is not Im mistake oh yeah a lot of this,product you know by by accident Ill be,nice to take this [ __ ] off seriously,well you know they they seem to go with,the right attitude but its just a lot,of crazy stuff happening with this movie,man and this starts from the from the,very beginning movie opens up with this,long opening credit scene but all this,[ __ ] with any long ass over crazy we,dont need to be here this long aint,nobody trying to stay in these bad,movies like this man hes like oh you,got something good huh you go see boy,and I cant even and they cant even,afford to like you know do movie credits,like like the you know like film like,movie credits right you know they,wouldnt like did this like like a,elementary school art projects you they,write names and everything,which but any other movie would be like,oh thats kind of clever yeah,a bunch of eight-year-olds make these,ready for the movie working for free,but the weirdest thing about this is,that,it opens up with some random British,dude talking to someone whos doing an,obvious fake kid voice talking about,read me the story Uncle Joe whatever,once upon a time they lift him Hand by,the name,by the name,Jack Frost to get your nose only this,guy did it for real,oh [ __ ] are you 35 years old with that,boy,and for some reason they think that this,is so clever and so funny that they just,keep going Ill tell you its long and,as long and as it keeps going it gets it,it gets more more annoying and unfunny,Jack was smart,into a town blend in puree a few of the,locals,dude can we and you got about that voice,is awesome yeah you got about three,minutes of that which feels like 10.,and and who whoever this British dude is,whoever this fake kid is you dont hear,from them no more they aint got nothing,to do with this before nothing to do,with this story they never come back,you know we didnt have we didnt have,to do this [ __ ] right about the show,we did have to be here doing this uh let me let me back this,up,date extra executional transfer vehicle,just in case anyone wants to break them,out exactly,I mean do people really Drive Vans at,advertise executions and like theyre,selling ice cream right and why are you,transfer them to get executed yeah where,the hell he was at,thats what thats why Im asking,because I dont know because there might,be vans that advertise right there,thats the man Jack Frost he was he was,destined to be a killer snowman because,that is his real name his name is Jack,Frost I mean I guess its not yeah yeah,they called aint no mistaken but that,aint a nickname they call them they,call him Frost throughout the whole,movie,hello oh you know he said hes smoking,all his face,smoking his face yeah hes a yeah this,dude was destined to be
