theyre here awesome im excited for the,equipment,after last week when chris bartell who,worked security on the ranch for robert,bigelow more than a decade ago showed us,where a cave entrance in the mesa had,mysteriously been covered over we,invited a team of drillers to the ranch,to help figure out what the bigelow team,might have wanted to keep hidden aaron,and his crew from straight shot drilling,theyre going to do some horizontal,drilling into the side of the mesa,the way that this horizontal drill works,is theyre actually going to go down,under the road under this canal and then,be able to maneuver up and hopefully,puncture up into the mesa and see if we,find a void there,how deep are you,80 feet youre 80 feet out yep,how many gallons of fluid are we into,this now that hasnt come back out 500,out of this tank a thousand out of the,last one and four out of the first so,were talking 2 000 gallons around there,it could be punching through into that,void,wow,whoa look at this,thats whats going on there okay so,its there it is again,again were doing something here that,weve not done before out here outdoors,with this thing running yep,and so,um theres a correlation over now,what happened to tom its serious the,ranch takes a toll on people,but,we need to move forward go back into the,hole and keep drilling,as we get deeper into the hill the mud,finally starts flowing,it fills up this large hole that they,dug with a backhoe,to catch this stuff it becomes necessary,to vacuum it out hey thomas yeah,my uh backs full i need to go dump it,oh okay all right,you think thatll catch it yeah,we put a screen underneath of it,when we dumped it just to see if we,could catch anything that might be,coming out of that hole,okay,what is that,hey uh,look at that,thomas,what are you seeing,theres a little study rocker theres,like ruster,what,oh my,just rock,its brittle,this is really thin,what do you think it was when you first,saw it well i wondered if its like,metal flakes or something thats exactly,the same impression i got,im surprised to see that there are,pieces of material,not rock,possibly metal,being screened out of that 800 gallon,volume of slurry with bentonite clay,i dont know what this material is at,first it appears to be like rust or or,some kind of sheet metal that has been,broken into pieces so this is that,really thats that really large one,thats the biggest one we found right,yeah yeah right i want to rinse it off,back here away from the electronics okay,lets get the other side,all right,look at that,do you have any yeah look at this,surface here is all bumpy,its a kind of a brown brownish color,and this has got streaks of that brown,in it but theres a black color here on,this much flatter smoother surface lets,find out what it is does that be dry to,analyze it yeah id prefer to let the,thing dry off okay,in order to identify what that material,is at least to get a sense of its,composition ive decided to use the,handheld x-ray fluorescence analyzer or,xrf instrument and see what elements,show up,i like to describe the xrf device as,basically a fancy x-ray flashlight,we shine those x-rays at objects and we,look at what x-ray colors come back to,identify the materials of which theyre,made,so this is telling me on this first,reading on this side,were looking at calcium iron silicon,aluminum magnesium,wait iron yeah theres and aluminum,yeah its like eight percent aluminum on,that shot,how much iron is it,uh that time it was 26 percent,so this is definitely metallic then oh,yeah,lets take a look at this other side,guys that numbers much different yeah,this side of this thing is showing up,its almost 72 percent iron,this thing is just straight up metal,this sample is almost solid metal,wow what is metal doing coming out of,the hill 300 feet in,as the experiments get bigger and better,they also get more dangerous and more,hazardous what are we going to trigger,with these bigger experiments metal,flakes or something i dont know how,this material got inside the mesa,could it be from an asteroid impact or,an alien spacecraft or an underground,base who knows but what we do know well you guys ready to go at it again,yeah were ready,aaron youre gonna want to see this,this is what came out of your tank this,material here its its rather brittle,out of the spoils that we went and,dumped over there,this came out of the pit yeah yeah,any chances to be coming off of your,equipment,theres no way you would come out of the,drill well i say we get at it and see if,we can,get you past that point yeah lets see,if we can break through there how far,back are we,we are about,311 foot okay and youre still hitting,up against that yeah still hitting up,against it,okay,boy that thing sounds like its hitting,something oh what the heck is,hey guys come on down here,so were coming up about 11 inches every,10 feet so it was it was directing you,downward and now youre still on it but,its allowing you to go upwards right so,it that tells us something about the,shape of this hard layer,or this this whatever this impenetrable,thing is,so it sounds like youre describing kind,of a v it may not even be a v it could,even be,maybe a dome oh really because youre,not that sharp of a turn,im gonna be really fascinated to see,whats coming out of that hole so when,you guys get ready to dump the spoils,we definitely want to put a screen under,there and catch it we definitely want to,analyze that,there we go,more metal,check this out,wow look at all the metal yeah theres,one right and some of its fairly,look how much of this stuff is in this,little spoils pile,right so theres no telling how much of,this metallic crap there is still in,that hillside,the fact that were getting all these,thin layers of this substance and aaron,was hitting something so hard with his,drill rig he couldnt penetrate it are,we just chipping away at something much,larger under the mesa i dont know but,we have to find out we were all eager to,see just what the huge dome-shaped,object buried inside the mesa could be,so we brought out underground,visualization expert ryan markintel to,feed a specialized robotic camera into,the hole we drill,oh wow,so this goes right under the mesa,400 feet that way lets get the,equipment we can set it up hopefully you,can just climb down stand in that feed,it in easy,the robotics that we use are really,designed for confined spaces,great to use in purposes like this,so we brought out a vt-100 which is a,robot with a ptz camera on it 1080p,readout it can be configured in many,different forms today were using tracks,just because were navigating over,different types of terrain,everything seems to be working fine,uh what well do is well go ahead and,ill get down there now and ill go,ahead and put it in the hole okay and,then well go ahead and start and uh,well keep a visual on everything,all right so we will start recording,right now,let me so we,all gathered in the command center to,review it and see what this huge,dome-shaped object might be made of,the data that they gave us from the,elemental analysis its really,interesting on one side of the material,theres tellurium,and on the other side of the material,theres europium,delirium is a semiconductor material,that is used in solar panels the,europium,its been experimentally measured that,under certain circumstances is a,superconductor really yeah the elements,found in this metal from deep inside the,mesa has properties just like those of a,semiconductor and a superconductor which,are both used in modern day electronics,like computer processors mri machines,electronic vehicles radios and even,smart phones,but why is it here on skinwalker ranch,and whats by stand by on that drop,this makes absolutely no sense to me the,gps had us locked to the triangle saying,we were right above it,then all of a sudden we werent its,like something pushed us off course,without us even realizing it thats,crazy makes no sense its as if,something was messing with our gps and,telling us were somewhere were not i,think if you get where i can see,the triangle okay lets do that yep well,i actually look straight down my leg and,use it sort of as a barrel sight and im,right over the triangle,are we ready,yeah im getting nothing theres no data,and im not getting the raw signal,so we are not picking up telemetry,signals the light thats supposed to be,blinking green,this is telling me were getting no data,i cant lock onto them,clearly something is interfering with,the signals weve copied on that it,messes with gps how about that,its like something was jamming us or,blocking our signal and we needed to,start tossing these sensors out the door,before something else happened that,would shut us down,they should be landing right in the,triangle so well just have to go,collect them after the experiment in,order to get the data lets start,throwing these others out yep just tell,us try it were gonna throw the others,out the gps units still werent,transmitting data and that was making me,a little bit nervous so i wanted to get,these tubes out the door as fast as we,could and hope we could find them later,dropping multiple payloads let us know,what you get,im getting no data theyre throwing out,this tube,with this long 20-foot red ribbon im,getting eyes on this package and then,all sudden i cant see it from the,ground where did it go i lost it it just,it disappeared,can you guys see some of the packages on,the ground up there,look,well look here and then well pick them,up eric would like to make it clear that,if we do not retrieve any of the,packages we have zero data red red right,below us,okay why dont we grab that explain what youre,looking at here you can probably guess,these uh blue cubes that im using,represent the position of the gps,payloads it looks like you smashed into,the mesa what the heck,the blue cubes that represent the gps,sensor as we were on our way up to the 5,000 foot point show that the helicopter,actually went into the mesa and came,back out again obviously that didnt,happen but something made our gps think,that it did and i got to tell you you,were hundreds of feet above the mesa,it looks like the gps data is inside the,mesa in that location wait till i show,you what happens when we lay our second,data set on top of this,look at that,these paths should be identical up to a,certain point in time,look what happens here,though but look how theyre overlaying,each other for a minute up there right,on top right on top where you see white,is where the two tracks are essentially,identical,holy cow look at that when we dropped,the payload so we threw it out right,there and then look it goes upwind,as if things arent weird enough first,the gps thought we went into the mesa,now we pinpointed an exact location,above the triangle where weve measured,strange energy readings in the past and,it looks like the gps units bounced off,something we couldnt see,i wonder if thats the same thing that,went under camerons helicopter last,year,all right so holy crap now look so show dallas,and then theres skinwalker ranch which,is home to,according to legend,scary humanoid creatures mutilated,livestock ghosts a giant unkillable,wolves electronic disturbances,and ufos its almost like an amusement,park of the paranormal,or 15 x-files episodes in one spot but,if were being pedantic its not famous,because of what happened there its,famous because well if youve heard of,skinwalker ranch its because youve,been exposed to the barrage of media,about this place books movies feature,documentaries podcasts episodes of,popular tv shows and as of last year,they finished up their second season of,a reality show on the ancient aliens,channel im sorry,the history channel,keep forgetting they still call,themselves that and that show is super,popular its finale ranked number one in,its time slot without a doubt skinwalker,ranch is a valuable commodity at this,point regardless of whats happening,there it is pulling in millions upon,millions of dollars and of course ive,received millions upon millions of,requests for a video about it probably,because i did a uap video earlier this,year which was,universally beloved,but you know what it is an interesting,story and northwest,utah in the uenta basin its close to,ballard utah and consists of 2.1 square,kilometers though some sites listed as,1.9 square kilometers in size it was,owned by the myers family from the early,1930s to 1994 and they sold it to cattle,ranchers named the sherman family and in,fact sometimes the property is still,referred to as sherman ranch but the,shermans only lived there for two years,before selling it to billionaire,businessman and aerospace executive,robert bigelow bigelow is famously a,believer in ufo phenomena and wanted to,study the area after hearing about some,of the shermans experiences on the,property bigelow owned the property for,20 years during which time the land was,investigated by his group the national,institute for discovery science but in,2016 bigelow sold the property for 4.5,million dollars to a shell company,called adamantium real estate who,immediately shut down all roads to the,ranch line the property with barbed wire,and install security cameras around the,perimeter but maybe the most telling,clue about what their plans were for,skinwalker ranch was when they,trademarked the term skinwalker ranch in,2018. literally within a year a feature,documentary on skinwalker ranch came out,and production began on the now popular,and lucrative skinwalker ranch reality,show could i sound more cynical right,now,all right now would be a good time to,disclose that yes i am severely biased,on this topic ive been pretty open,about my disdain for reality shows and,the manipulation of reality that they,engage in i did a video way way back,early in the channel where i talked,about,duck dynasty and how uh the guys who are,on that show were like regular middle,class dudes with no beards or anything,and then they got cast in this show grew,out their beards and made millions of,dollars selling merchandise thats the,grift,and it happens with a lot of reality,shows so yeah the fact that theres a,reality show around this thing just,immediately sets off alarm bells for me,but is that a fair thing to say here is,that whats going on here is the guy,behind adamantium holdings running some,kind of grift,well lets take a look at the guy behind,the curtain his name is brandon fugal,hes a real estate mogul and vc investor,out of utah figo had a religious,upbringing in the church of jesus christ,of latter-day saints which is a fancy,way of saying he grew up mormon and,according to interviews with him this is,what spurred his interest in the,paranormal you know the idea that we,could have proof that theres more out,there to reality in the universe than,what we can see this would be this would,be the ultimate validation of his faith,but hes an interesting guy hes got a,huge movie memorabilia collection hes,passionate about 80s music collects,porsches and lamborghinis and that kind,of stuff and hes also joined an,investment group that wants to resurrect,the woolly mammoth fugal told utah,business in 2020 that he purchased the,ranch as a skeptic believing there would,be natural explanations for all the,strange activity but he added quote what,we are witnessing could be evidence that,we live in a multi-dimensional universe,that we are not alone that we may be,interacting with other entities other,intelligence fugal hopes that,discoveries on the ranch can help prove,that humans are part of a after,that now i want to be clear hes a busy,guy he might have just not had time to,get back to it im not trying to throw,any wild accusations out there or,anything i only say that just to get the,point across that we did,try to cover our bases on that and get,his side of the story all right so lets,talk about the ranch itself whats,whats the deal with this place if you,went to basin as the geological remains,of the prehistoric uinta lake that was,formed in the late tertiary period about,2 million years ago the basin is,surrounded by the uinta and wasatch,mountains and the rhone and book cliffs,its up to 10 000 feet above sea level,and covers more than 9 000 square miles,and prehistoric sites show that it was,inhabited thousands of years ago by the,archaic and fremont peoples and then,more recently by the ute tribe fathers,dominguez and escalante were the first,europeans in the area when they traveled,through in 1776 and brigham young sent a,small party to explore the basin in 1861,as a possible place to settle but the,party reported that the area was,valueless abraham lincoln created the,uinta indian reservation that same year,in gilsonite which is a kind of asphalt,was discovered in the basin around 1888.,the land contains oil too it has more,than eight thousand gas wells and two,thousand oil wells with mineral rights,being the primary income source for the,uinta and uray indian reservation and,then theres fracking which has been,occurring there since the 1960s and it,comes with some of its own problems a,rolling stone article in 2015 concluded,that the ground air in the basin was,quote fraught with carcinogenic gases,like benzene rogue emissions fro
